well cleaning the Secondlife cache doesn't help if that is what I think it is. I have seen that silly message before and this is what I tell you. If you haven't installed or changed firewall or antivirus program in the last month then you can resolve it flushing the DNS cache not the sl cache clean your sl cache, clean your browser cache and the cache of any program that you might be running then open your command line console ( in windos type in execute cmd.exe ) there you will type ipconfig /flushdns Than what you have to do is to restart the pc and restart also your gateway ( if your ip provider allows you to change ip do it) That's it and we'll have you back in world. see you there.

It's second life, they all are free to be whatever they want If too many kids avi are around ,as you say, there might be a reason: maybe , if we all are stuck with a 3d G A M E , it's because we try to escape from an alienating reality. So what is the best place where to go , to feel yourself safe, to see the world around you pink and many hopes in the future, if not our childhood. It might also be a good way to avoid hookers for people who want just to chat and have fun.................... So you become furry or kid avi or whatever you like better.

my iussue is different that person has been knowing me for more than 3 years and also stalking me for three years, it's not a guessing what has been done Lately one of that person's alts when I log uses to to rezz exactly where I am landing

I did all the things you say , Ceka Also before that they started talking about how it was dangerous to have enabled shared media on, I always kept media off by then ( call me paranoid ). I can tell you Since ever I have been havingshared media off. A friend was talking to me about the possibility that they are using third part applications to follow my alts. I start somehow beliving that this is possible. I have been using alt that I told anybody and I had some of them that I knew suddenly landing near me like they were able to see me on map ( I had no one in friendlist, and I was wearing nothing but the noobie clothes, no scripted obgects either, i prefer to script myself what I wear or at least I check accurately the script also when I buy something if it's mod). Someone keeps asking me REal data about me, age, sex , religion and stuff, so I always have to change what I say about my real life to drive them mad and keep it in mind through an achive file excel . This happens cause that same person, who stalks me, likes to act like a cop. But what the ..... this is second life I can be anything furry included why should that person act like a cop with me? The most important thing is why am I not allowed to be around( least this is what that person thinks)? If that person feels their partnership so weak only cause I am around, is it my fault?

Hi knowl and thanks for answering. Yes I do all that, I always keep also my media off , I never touch links or obgect that I don't trust. Lately I am also avoiding places where I think that person might be. A few time ago just logging in double session with one alt shoppinmg and another busy to try stuff tht I was building, that person I mean started IMing me telling that my IP was matching with another, so that person started accusing me and pointing the finger at me. Sometimes I just log and prolly through a detector I got found out so I get from that person nice messages messages from holy scripts or songs to treat me Not that this generally would piss me off, but that person has been doing this for over three years or more and lately I am starting losing my patience

I have heard that there are huds and third part applications that allow people to find out alts. do you know any really good and really working shield that can stop such griefers? I have my way to do it but I was just wondering if any hud/shield exists, so I can be in double session on the same OS without letting anyone find me out. I might save also a few on my bills :P . I just need the shiled or script to stop such devices. I really need such a shield (if any exists), cause a Jealous person keeps stalking me, thinking that I want her partner.

Try this clean your caches, the dns caches too, restart yor router see how it goes. Maybe it was the rolling restart that has been, it always slows me down when it is done. If it's still there I tell you sometimes in Second life and also world of war craft I see this so I install fresh video drivers or install again the video drivers and and second life, paying attention to make to clean good the keys and poof as magic all runs good.

I agree there with you the old second life was a way better and It would be nice to have a different surname to chose for the default avatar last name ( whitout using that display name thing ). A reason more to love my old avatar and keep it:smileywink: But see the positive side of this thing now we finally live in a world where we all are brothers and sisters......

Well I tell you many many times I've tried to leave second life, maybe cause felt repulsed by a partner, maybe cause stomped and a way down and tired to get it in both worlds, but in the end you know you like it even without anyone around you or just with fewe chats, cause they can keep you out from other things and sometimes second life can be a way to take care of yourself. Anyway if you really want to stop logging in tere is a solution go in your router and ban from it second life, then tell your parents or your brother or sister to change the password for the router and to keep it for themself. that's it you don't need to ask for an IP ban nor an email ban. Between addicted ones I can tell you, you will stay out maybe a few weeks if you can but in the end you for sure come back.:smileyhappy:

Hello sonya, here is prolly someone older than yo both lifes and so much more bored than you whatever I keep using sl,cause it's my passtime. I know sometimes finding a good chat is not easy, because you first need to know people who see the world and sl as you do and only if you share a common view of things then a good chat and a good friendship can strt as always. What do I do when I am bored? well sometimes I just sit and look at the in world avatars looking if I see cool ones with clothes or nice things to see, so I try to build what i see in world. Another way to get out from the boredroom is to Roleplay, second life has many places where you can do that and many themes about rleplaying. Anyway, if you start Roleplaying, it's always a good thing to write a few notes about how you mean it. For istance I don't like to mix Real life with Secondlife for some second life is a social network chat where to talk about real world and maybe find real loves, to me in Role play and in "out of character game mode" second life stands only a mmorpg and a chat for friends. I prefer other ways and cchats to get a date ( my personal way ), so having a clear profile will save you from any misunderstanding about the way you want to live second life in role play and also out of it. you may want to dance it's fun too enter in some social networks about dancing and events and you may start earning a few linden dollars, for istance start as dancer.When they see that you are good and affidable you may get more responsibility roles and earn more. You can do shopping and for that you don't need to have money. Yes you can customize your avatar spending much, but if you look well in world o if you hit google and loook for second life hunts you may have a lot of fun finding clothes and other free stuff. If you like you can learn to fight, there are places where to do it and if no one wants to teach you, hit on me call me and evenif I am the outcast fighter of all the times I will be glad to show you a few ot it. you may want to try Vehicles or saiing, there are a few sims where yo may do it and have fun. In extremem cases as extreme ratio I tell you what I do but don't emulate me lol I login two avatars and play with themI invent scenes take photos or just rry the scripts or things that I make. About building there are communities where they teach it, if you don't want to learn it by yourself. I am a self learner and google and wiki are my teachers. as you can see there is so much to do and many many other things, the important to go out of the boredroom is to have fantasy,invent your fun, i think I gave you a few examples.
