Hello all, I have follow the discussion about the viewers now for a long time. Myself I have use sl viewer 1,2 and 3. I have also try some other viewers. To get use at viewer 2 it had cost me weeks to get use at viewer 3 some days.When my laptop broke I had buy a game laptop and also get a fast internet connection. The performance was great, in a few seconds everything was raise and all was fast and no lag. But after the viewer 2.5 when you can have more than 25 groups things are changing. More lag, everything is slower, raising take a long time. And my laptop and connection are the same. Iam still using viewer 3 because I like to try new things. But I ask myself why Lindenlab not give the members a choice?? Why is it not possible to have 2 viewers?? A very simple one like the viewer 1 and a advantages one. And maybe also restrict in the simple one how much items you may have. Too much items causing also a lot of lag. If you get more items in the simple one than they could transfer to the advantages one. So the advantage one would more use for builders, or special things you would like to do or simple because you like that viewer. And others who like viewer 1 they can use that and if you don't need all those advantages things. And if you restrict the items you can have in viewer 1 it would also good to use by raids in the fighting sims and by events with a lot of people. On this way everybody is happy. Maybe what I am saying is not possible or too expensive or people find it maybe stupid what I am saying. But instead of complaining we can think how we can make everybody happy, because I can understand both sides. On the roleplay sim I am playing, I am the only one who is using the viewer 3.I think that is a pity that people would not even try it. ojeeeeee this become all too long what I am writing. Hello, Yesterday I had the same problem when I download the sl viewer. It was not in English but in another language I think Danish, Iam Dutch but I could not understand it. I have fast change it in English. Luckly enough was that possible otherwise I would get headache to figure out what was all standing there ;-) Or maybe Lindenlab what that we all learn another language? Bye Bye Anna,

Hello all, A year ago when my laptop broke I have buy a new one. A gamelaptop a very fast one with a very good graficcard. When I came on secondlife it was comparing with my old laptop a big difference. My old laptop was also not a cheap one. But this one was a real gamecomputer specially buy this one for role game for fighting with swords. You need a fast connection and of course a fast computer. And it works all great! Of course to work with viewer 2 take some time. Also filming with spacenavigator works great and very smoothly. But than I get a upgrade in august so that I could have more than 25 groups. Very nice that I can have more groups, but after that it works not so good more. Filming is not smoothly more, much lag it take a long time before I see everything. I see many clouds everything is become slow. Iam now using viewer 3. I have also try other viewers but I am use to the sl viewer. But this week I was looking to all the settings and saw the cameraview standing all to the left. I have changes that a little more to the right. it is all become better but still not so as it was before that upgrade of august. So Iam still wonder what is happen in august that my experience in sl become worse?? And it was so great!! Bye Bye Anna,

Hello all, When 8 months ago my laptop broke I have buy a new one a gamelaptop. But I must than download viewer 2. At first I did know what happen to me it was so weird all. Iam playing SL since 2007 and only using the viewer 1. But I thought I must try it nothing stay the same, so go for it. Now 8 months further it gives me still sometimes headache. Still there are things that I cannot find. Iam not a technical person and properly more people are not. They want play a game and want not have all kind of technical issues. Many has say to me go to another viewer. But after all those months I get use to it. But there are some things I really don't understand in viewer 2 and 3. I find everything slower. I have special bought a gamelaptop very fast one and have also a very fast connection, also the upload is fast. Iam playing role play and fighting with swords. But it is still not become faster. So I have stop that. Than I have go learn bowshooting become faster and faster, discover filming. But I find the screen not smoothly with filming so I have buy in July spacenavigator. It has work great. But than I get a upload 2.8.3 spacenavigator did not work more. The movie was not longer smoothly. In ultra I crash or could not move. So I have ask advice here. They could help me with that ultra issues but not with spacenavigator. Than I get an upload of viewer 3. But now I have more problems. Bowshooting is become slow when I come onlineIam a cloud for long time it take along time before everything is raise. That was not before! I have the feeling that by every upload the viewer become for me worse! The screen is not steady more. And I know everyone would say my connection is not good or my laptop. But my drivers are uploaded I have even call HP they have take it over from distance to watch and install the latest driver for my graficcards. All my problems are started with that viewer 2.8.3. Many of my friends are going play other games like lords of the rings, I have myself also download that game. And I like sl a lot! I have learn a lot of sl. Learning building, texture, filming ,edit films, English. Iam now learning German. It is great game! But lately Iam only looking at forums to try to resolve my problems and I don't like that. Hello Larry, I have do what you have write, but it still does not work. I have do an new update I have re-calibrate it. I have try it in ultra graphics, high, medium and even in low. Only in low it was reasonable but that is nothing a setting for filming. But the last days my whole screen is not steady more when iam in sl. But thanks for helping! Hello all, Thanks for helping! I have do an update 3D connexion, I have re-calibrate it but still it does not work. My laptop is 8 months old it is HP pavilion dv 8 and it work before I had that new 2.8.3 viewer of sl. Yesterday when I was in sl I have try it out the filming and put the graphics in ultra,high medium and low settings. Only in low settings it was reasonable but that is no setting for filming it is only a setting when I go fighting in role play with my swords :matte-motes-grin: But also when I use not spacenavigator and use the other tools for to get closer and so on it works all awful. Last days everything is not steady more at my screen when I am in sl. It makes me dizzy when Iam watching to long at the screen. I go tonight again in sl at see how it is otherwise Iam loading sl again or another viewer. But I am now use at that viewer 2. pfffffffff This give me all headache. Bye Bye, Anna Carlberg,

Hello, I hope someone can help me. I have already ask in the technology forum and there they could help me about to go in ultra (viewer 2.8.3) But I have had no answer about spacenavigator and then I saw this forum and thought maybe I can ask it here. I bought spacenavigator and when I use it in sl it works great but with filming it was not smoothly when I try it with camtasia. When I try it with magix 17 it works great. But in august I get a new update of the sl viewer and since I have the sl vieuwer 2.8.3 it works not smoothly more. Not with camtasia not with magix 17. It is so pity that it not works more I have see how it can be look. And now it looks awfull. Proberly there have been some changes in the settings or I am doing something wrong. Hello, I have do what you had wrote to me and put off the lightning and shadows. When I do that everything was working perfect. Thanks for your help! I have only not find a solutions for filming with spacenavigator. I can use it and it works great. But when I see it back it is not smoothly. That is so pity. I have see how it can be. And still I don't understand it why it works before I get that new viewer 2.8.3 and after that not more. There must be some changes in the settings. Hello, Thanks for responding. When Iam home I will look at it. When I play sl I am in medium only with filming I go in the highest graphic. That was before the upgrade to 2.8.3 no problem. Hello, Can someone help me? In July I have buy spacenavigator and it works very nice in the viewer 2. But when I want make a moving with Camtasia it was not smoothly but when I try magixsoftwear it works great. But in august I have got the viewer 2.8.3 and since that time it doesn't work more smoothly with filming. Not with camtasia and not with Magixplus 17. I hope someone can tell me what I must do.
