May I be so bold as to make a little suggestion, once you've decided .. When it comes to creating your store group, would you be so kind as to actually name it after your store, beginning with the same first letter. Too many store group names try to out-list each other by adding idiotic, stupid, ludicrous, pathetic and highly tedious characters at the beginning of their group names. I wish I could locally rename group names to get them back into some sort of sensible alphabetical order. mini-rant over

At least it shows the person tried searching first before posting their question. I quite like reading posts from years ago on a subject I'm curious about, even if links etc. are outdated. I will never buy land or rent long term, perhaps a week or two renting once in a blue moon, just for the heck of it. I use a sandbox as my home. I change from time to time depending on how well behaved the regulars are, sometimes you feel compelled to move on due to harassment or bothersome individuals. I have a 'bump' HUD, so if someone hassles me I can send them on a journey they possibly didn't expect. Plenty of sandboxes around, finding a nice peaceful one is another matter. I don't know of any free rentals.

I forgot to mention that, thanks. I did try right-click then Touch, but that didn't work either. Touch was not greyed out it just ignored my click same before. I will try the transparent thing, but I doubt it will be that as when I move my mouse across the gifts it changes from arrow to hand, then off again, as you'd expect. I remembered the other place now, it was True Dove. Strange thing is when this happens I can (sometimes) right-click and click Pay, if available. The pay box appears but there's no money option to buy. This is for free items or gifts, for normal items to purchase this works as normal. I can always Buy things. It's really odd why this happens only in some places. Luckily it's very few. Thanks everyone for replies so far. I always appreciate people trying to help

Not really sure how to word this, but I'll try .. I just completed the Women Only Hunt 5 and every time I clicked on the coconut (for the hunt gift) it worked fine and I received the item, so far so good. The one and only exception was at 7 Deadly S[k]ins. While there I also tried the group gifts for SLF&O, MAAM, MaitreyaGifts & News and MLM as I am in those groups. None of them worked. Nothing at this store would accept my clicks, not even their Midnight Madness boards. When I hover my mouse over a clickable item the arrow changes to a hand with a finger pointing out, so it sees my cursor. But it ignores my 'click'. I remember seeing this happen somewhere else in the past too, although the place slips my mind. This is in no way a slight against 7DS, but do you think they setup up their clicks differently to everyone else? Why doesn't it work for me?

With No Modify I can understand some grumbling, as that is commonplace, but No Copy is something I rarely see, unless it's a gacha item. My inventory is 40k+ and I can only recall two things ever being No Copy when I wanted to make a copy. Once was for a pair of earrings which I wanted to to copy for two different heights/size of avatar, the other some bracelets for the same reason. This equates to 0.005% of my items. I have never bothered to verify of something is No Copy or not prior to purchase. Maybe it is becoming more widespread, but it's not something affecting me beyond being barely noticeable. I get so much for free through events, group gifts, hunts, freebies etc. that I feel it would be a bit of a nerve to have a moan. Both items mentioned above I didn't buy.

I wish DEMOs had their own flag/section/identity, so they could be kept out of shopper's search results, if preferred. Ideally they could only be reached via a 'Demo' link from the actual item. No doubt this is not the place to write this, if so, I don't apologise.

I love knees. If I was capable I'd make more knee related items. Knees don't get anywhere near enough loving. Not things which begin or end just above or below the knee, that's become more than boring, but things which begin or end ON THE KNEE. That means; halfway up the kneecap. Boots, legwarmers, socks, skirts, dresses, strings, straps etc., which all begin or end halfway up the kneecap. I'd call my shop "Kneecap Cutters" to ensure all knee lovers know what it's about. I cannot stress enough the lack of half-knee-cap focused items. It depresses me at times why SL fashions are either incredibly ordinary or ridiculously way out. We need more middle ground, especially for kneecaps. In over a decade of SL usage, which has included some serious searching and wading through knee-listed items, I can count the genuine mid-knee-cap items on my thumbs. ".. but it's difficult to avoid collision with the leg when it's bent" I hear them say. Let me worry about that! I spend more time upright than in positions with my knees fully bent. Knee Love Forever! p.s. I love knees.

Yes, and it also prevents you sitting in your own AO's default sit position as far as new arrivals are concerned, even though to yourself you seem to be sitting using the chair's sit animation. Turning off your own AO reverts to the chair animation. If that makes sense. I guess it depends on priorities too.

I've now got 3 shortcuts; my original and one each for your two suggestions. I'll try both of your techniques for a while and see which suits best. Already they're both better than mine as there's not a land spam in sight! Thanks so much for both taking the time to help. It makes a big difference!

However, there are always threads from sections I really do not want to see, commonly the Land Forum, where a relentless barrage of spam-style land adverts are a constant. I have tried 'Ignoring' that particular user, but that doesn't work. Could someone share the technique/settings for a peaceful life within the Unread Content minus the ones I don't want?

Searching for the 'perfect' AO can be a never-ending task, it certainly is for me. I don't mean a complete all-in-one set. I mean several single, individual animations which I can place into a single, small set. Some get close or nearly, but never perfect. They're often ruined by arms moving inside the body, or some ludicrous non-natural move which looks ridiculous. I honestly wish I had the skills and know-how to create a smooth animation.. As the OP, I want a set of animations to be .. almost nothing. POSES often give me the closest to what I seek, which is why I like separate ARMS movements too, that I play over POSES. The search continues .. I commented on a similar thread also: -

Lighting can make or break a picture in SL. Good lighting with a hint of DoF can make the world of difference. The pleasure comes from twiddling with the windlights and getting the most out of what the second life viewer has to offer, as opposed to post-software editing. The image below uses one of the built-in SL filters, called 'Spotlight'. There are a few decent effects in the list. This is my new LAQ head with free hair from MINA (SL15B gift).

Thanks for the replies, particularly OptimoMaximo for the tip about playing two anims at once using the technique above. What I've done for now, and it works rather well, is use the Firestorm AO as I normally do, but added a simple Zhao HUD with only ARMS animations inside, plus a walk, a run and sits. I stripped the Zhao HUD of all excess items and it works a treat, working the ARMS anims over my stands from Firestorm's AO. I've found that walks within the Firestorm AO seem to upset things which causes the walk to stutter to a stop. So placing one inthe Zhao and removing the FS AO walk has remedied that. I kinda like two AO's doing two things as it randomizes more, so arms don't always move at the exact same time with a stand. Or, I cam auto ARMS and remain on one fairly relaxed stand.

I've used Vista AOs for a very long time. However, over the past few years I've found myself using Firestorm's built-in AO function more and more to the point where I often switch off the Vista AO or remove it altogether. When Vista is not there I miss the ARMS animations, such as crossing arms/hands, scratching head, looking at nails etc.. In the Firestorm AO I have added stands, walks, sits, but is there any way to incorporate some ARMS animations into the Firestorm AO setup too, so they play 'over' the stands and sits as they did in when the Vista AO was running? I hope that makes sense.

If restarting doesn't work, try logging on using an alternative SL viewer to see if anything changes. At least then it may confirm one way or the other whether your current viewer installation/cache is corrupt in some way. That'd be my next step

Life can be strange sometimes in that we can be left with an opinion about somewhere or something that differs so much.. Personally, I found Blueberry to be one the most generous of gifts at the SL15B event, along with Vision, MINA and TRUTH, which were most excellent also. Vision is a true L$200 store credit with no expiry, plus store discounts are on offer currently too. I know that as I'm a group member at Vision and it's been stated several times in their group chat. I found Addams to be the least generous of all, in fact I consider a complete NON-gift. A discount voucher does not qualify as a gift in my opinion, more of a promotion, as it requires spending money or you get nothing. Considering how big Addams is I consider that to be exceptionally stingy, almost contemptuous towards customers. Not to mention they had a store-wide increase from L$199 to L$250 at the beginning of the year. Very high quality items from Addams, but boy do they like to be paid for their efforts. I was born in a sandbox and live on the streets. I'm homeless. So H&G items are rarely of interest to me, but I like chairs
