English-only speakers probably account for the vast majority of language snobs in the world. You have numerous poor and mediocre reviews and your response in most cases is snippy. If you're naked, when adding the 'Maitreya Mesh Body - Alpha' everything should disappear except for your head and eyes. I suspect the 'Maitreya Mesh Body - Alpha' you are using is either faulty, or has been mistakenly adjusted. What I would do is go back to the Maitraya store and get a redelivery.

Windows is scheduled to 'Optimize' my C drive (SSD) weekly. As far as actually defragmenting a SSD, I did a lot of Googling/reading about that. I did it once after deleting all those cache files, but I'm still not totally convinced either way. I might do one once or twice a year if I feel it needs it.

After I got my new ASUS ROG laptop with SSD 6 months ago SL was truly flying along, I was happy and loving the speed, SL was like a new world. However, gradually over time I noticed my SL experience decline. The final straw came when an item of clothing became corrupted and wouldn't load properly. I use Firestorm x64. After a bit of frustration with that corrupted cached item I decided to do something about it - I deleted everything in the 'C:\Users\Me\AppData\Local\Firestorm_x64' folder. There were in excess of 30,000 files in there and it was just under 4GB's worth. At the time I was concerned whether all my button positions and settings would remain intact, or whether I'd mess things up some other way, but when I logged back in afterwards everything was all there, just how I left it. A few seconds of loading up fresh, but already things were noticeably faster. Wow! .. Everything is now running like new >>> Fast! .. Just like when it was new No doubt some of you know this already, but every now and then I am going to clear this lot out manually. The 'Clear Cache' button didn't do it.

Totally unacceptable. I'd never pay L$1 for a demo.

Unprompted, except for my roadside appeal, when somebody (a man) says "good morning", or "good afternoon" etc. How presumptuous to assume I'm an american living in SL time.

Not that I'm a seller, but I'm curious to understand this as I quite like some of the 'older' items .. If an item sells one piece, is it then safe for further 12 months, providing the seller has been active in the past 5 years?

Now that that awful Halloween has just expired for another year it would be nice to relax and enjoy some autumn themes before Christmas sets in and the non-christians have another festive period to endure. At least Christmas is far more enjoyable than Halloween, but let's not wish the year away.

How I never saw that button before, I'll never know! Thank you. My SL world has and will continue to improve significantly! I have separate bodies for different outfits requiring different alpha sets, so this is the solution I needed.

I keep a number of HUDs attached at all times, including the Maitreya HUD .. Why? .. Because I want to. I know that none of my HUDs overlap or hide part of the active parts of another, but that is a very valid reason to check if you have recently introduced another HUD. In Firestorm; Avatar - Health - Refresh Attachments almost always works when a HUD stops working, but not every time, so occasionally a relog is necessary if doing many, many attach/detach sessions, such as trying on new things after a hunt unpacking, or a lot of TP'ing. Maitreya's auto-alpha is the worst thing that's ever happened to Maitreya body system - I have grown to despise it ? Like many 'new' things introduced to help people the fallout from unintended consequences raises its ugly head. Things like this SHOULD BE OPTIONAL, not compulsory. Why? .. Because I wear a V-Tech flat chest and also have a folder containing many copies of the Maitreya bodies for use in different Outfits, if they require a specific alpha set. There is also continuous failure for each body to maintain its own saved set since the 4.1 update and crossover between saved body alphas and the HUD commonly leaks between the two. If auto-alpha did not exist or was optional I would be delighted. Someone once described how to remove the HUD scripts once. I tried that numerous times but the HUD always re-introduced them and wouldn't allow it. I love the Maitreya body look, but the auto-alpha spoils everything.

This thread has got nothing to do with religion, at least not as far as I'm concerned, it also has nothing to do with the specifics of any celebration day anywhere in the world. The sole reason I began this topic was with reference to freebies, group gifts, hunt items and event items primarily being wasted on a theme (Halloween) that is very ugly to me. I don't want bats wings on shoes, blood on a blouse, or even an american flag on a dress or a skirt when that time of year comes to pass. The build-up and fallout from Halloween will seemingly take several weeks before it ends yet and until it's over I am missing out on otherwise potentially nice items which I enjoy collecting and sifting through, as most have been replaced with ugly stuff.

My favourite period of the SL calendar is Easter as I like the theme of the gifts, hunts and freebies, plus I get to take off my kitty ears and put on my bunny ones. I don't have a Christopher Columbus outfit, or even a suitable hat, so I'll pass on that special day ? Christmas is a nice time too, even though I am not a christian. The outfit options are nice as can go festive or wrap-up for the cold. This blood, bones, pumpkins and demons time is so ugly and seems to last forever.

Valentine's Day can be fun in SL, but the rest are utterly meaningless and non-relevant to non 'mericans. Columbus day. Did you make that up? Never heard of it ?

Besides the 4th of July, Halloween must rank as one of the most tedious times of the Second Life calendar year for people who are not from america. Freebies, group gifts, hunts, and event items are as close to useless and unwearable as can be and at time of writing we are still a week and a half away. There are over 7 billion people who inhabit the earth, outside of america.

Music snobbery is a sad thing. If I like a piece of music, a track, a beat, an anthem, then I like it because I like it and just because it may fall into a category or genre that is mainstream or popular, or not, does not make me like it any more or less. Having said that, country music and heavy rock likes are far and few between compared to everything else, but that doesn't mean I automatically dislike them due to their musical genre. I think it is because I am not American. My musical likes tend to fall mostly between happy and upbeat soul/funk, mellow relaxing jazz/electronic/smooth jazz, to sad melancholic. In general, my music collection is not very mainstream and I have no idea at all what music resides in the current charts as I never listen to commercial radio or watch live television. If I had to choose only one instrument to listen to, it would be the piano. mesmerising ..

I wonder if posting similar or same images simultaneously in How does your avatar look today? AND The VaNiTy ThReAd would be considered spamming too. Maybe only if the images were all water-marked and/or have links to external blog posts might they bring unwelcome attention ?
