  1. Thanks Medhue! (You know, still hoping you will get around to a super SLat tut ) I had used the latest QA 'til some one here asked about cutting a frame - something I had never been able to do- a link was posted to an older QA that did it and I stopped using the newer one at all. So, on the 2008 05-02 version of QA- you can cut frames but there is no Tool available. Now in the 2009 version, Tool, Mirror exists! Yay and thanks so much for pointing this out to me Wish creator wd kinda combine best of both worlds but hey, I can live with this. Thanks again Medhue!
  2. Hello all- I use QA and have not found a way to Mirror an animation- meaning, create an identical mirrored rendition of an existing animation - not create two animations then add one mannequin into the other and then pose them together. Is such a feat possible in any other animation program and if so, please make suggestions. Thank you.
  3. I just popped in and saw the past post - a naked picture of Spike! ROFL What a send-off!
  4. Ooh! thanks for finidng it - will go stroll down memory lane some more. Brenda I see as inworld every now and again. I am trying to get back into being in SL- I spend most of my time in InWolrdz but am trying to be "here" more. Damien and I are still together actually- we have a place in IW. Every once in awhile we pop into the Cartel Hangout. Still- damn Lindens for destroying such a great community as we had in RA. Glad there are peeps here though to make their own. The Undying Thread has been reborn in several places but has never taken off- it couldn't really- that was a once in a life time thing. Hugs all and Merry Happy Everything!
  5. OMG! Yes! And it was rife with great names after! Oh yes.. lol those were the days and all that- I wil need to remember to come visit your tower again sometime I fondly recall the fair maiden and the knights (Hi Ceka!)
  6. I had to pop in in remembrance of Phil and Marcel and Gabrielle and the Bot Wars Oh for the days of RA... Hello Phil- hope all is good with you.
  7. Can't hurt to try a different viewer too~
  8. OMG!!! I am so glad for the OP asking that question and for you finding an answer!! I just DL'ed that one now and wow you have no idea how much trouble you have saved me in the future! Up to now, I had accepted there was no way to do that and when had a total screw up would laboriously copy over the right frames to a new anim. Yesterday finding the old ones on the Way Back - cause I stupidly didn't even think to see if they were still available on QA.org - I dl'ed a bunch of them and kept trying to delete and couldn't - I guess I missed the 2008 release. So THANK YOU and kudos to you- about to go add this info to my tiny but growing animation tutorial blog, Animating Your Virtual Life
  9. I have never been able to do that myself- what version of QA did you have before? Hope you kep tthe original install so u can get that back. Edited to add- I went back to the Way Back Machine and even DL'ed an 06 one and did not find that feature working~
  10. Damn- I was reveling in the whole Friday Thread feel of this and couldn't help the chill of grammar ghosts past~ Hello folks, from beyond the sands of time...
  11. Foot fixer locks your ankles in place so that when u wear your shoes your feet dont get bent in unusual directions, but are instead kept flat.
  12. I too use QA and although there is a wealth of info outthere, at times it is really hit or miss. I started a little animation blog here: Animating Your Virtual Life where I am adding some tuts and notes and whatnot. It is only just begun, but please feel free to drop in and follow along. Hope that helps!
  13. Well you should definitely be uploading to the beta grid or to an different virtual world so you wont need to pay for your trials. Good luck.
  14. Thank you Chosen for so nicely voicing my own and am sure others thoughts. Re export - you can right click on a rezzed sculpt go thru the pie menu till you find Export, with say Imprudence or other tpv's and export the build. I did just that, stared at acres of xml stuff I was clueless about and made random changes. So far my result on reimporting is a three tier topiary with a deep hole right down the middle- but still only one face.
  15. Please- do ruin the fun of discovery if some one figures this out. Am staring at line after line of xml code and haven't the vaguest what to alter...
  16. Forgive me if I misinterpreted your question. While the answers given are quite informative, it seems to me all you are trying to do is save a blend to tga. This is easily accomplished using the JASS/Domino scripts that are packeged with Blender - do visit Machinamatrix for the info on how to add either that bit to your existing Blender or info on how to download the prepackaged Blender available in SL. Good luck!
  17. For couple anims you can add a second manequin to the scene - File Add - just start your second file then add to your first. Good luck, As for tuts etc search in Youtube, also right here in this forum there are a number of great answers that will help you along.
  18. That sort of arcane deviltry is beyond me, I am afraid... but good luck to those the end up needing it..
  19. Oh I hadn't heard there would be any updates- that would be wonderful! I really like the proggie even with it's shortcomings. I will keep an eye open for it. Meantime- if anyone knows any one's name to ask and get the straight poop that wd be great.
  20. Friend was looking to DL QA day before yesterday and it seems it is gone off the web. Here is what I get when I go to QAvimator.org: ForbiddenYou don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Source Forge also has no files - http://sourceforge.net/projects/qavimator/files/ Any one have any info regarding this?
  21. /me hugs Innula tight Off to try it out and will let you know! My anims may be working their way back in here soon, by the way am having too much fun for just one grid :matte-motes-big-grin:
