  1. If you are using QAvimator, the feature is there under Tools. If you are NOT using QA but have a bvh file, open it with QA and take advantage fo the tool- good luck!
  2. Does the new version of Gimp also do the 3-D painting? And if so, could some one toss in a link to a how to or other explanation? I did look thru the new Gimp but didn't see any obvious way to do that. I am fairly familiar with Gimp and use it for my purposes but would not consider myself expert at it. Thanks for any info.
  3. And at Dronglle as well- Thank you both- had no idea re that nor even about the alignmment thing- so i now have a nicely squared box and it is perfect Just what I needed.

  5. If I scale to zero, won't they "shrink"? In Blender u select then type S and axis chosen or none and they al scale. OK- bitng nails and trying that :matte-motes-smile:
  6. Well damn.. OK - so.. I was able to export as a dae, then opened in Notepad and saved as a text. Why you may ask am I going thru all this? I am trying to align some vertices vertically and am having a hell of a time in Blender- so figured since that easy peacey Rokuro can do that i wd take a text file in there and use it to vertically align. However- the Rokuro gave me an error message when I tried to import the text saying, "List index out-of-bounds (1114). Not sure if that refers to a particular line or if anything beyond 1114 is too far gone or what... So.. then- oh great gurus, is there a way to align vertices in Blender that won't make me tear my hair out? Thanks again!

  9. How about.. make a copy of the layer the avatar is on- assuming the brick wall is a separate layer? If it isnt then get rid of the brick wall on second layer, then desaturate remaining avatar so is b&w place behind first avatar and then offset it a little and fade out the layer? You need a layer of wall and two of avatar, one desaturated and opacity turned down. Not trying it as I type but I think this wd work.

  11. Honestly- you people - scripters - are no less than gods! Sure, with out builders and animators and texture artists SL wd be pretty empty and grey- but you guys give Life. /me doffs her hat

  13. I am afraid I know nothing about scripting but an application occurs to me using something like this that you have so generously offered. Would it be possible to somehow adapt it so that two people could at the same time "ride" this object and walk thru the wall together?

  15. Need a littel more detail- what exactly doesn't work? You are choosing a position for the hands on upload I assume? Then once loaded, then it doesn't show in SL with the hand position you chose, ie, fist, point, etc?
  16. Thank you Medhue- is an evening hour possible? I am EST and work in the day time. I will upload my fails to SL so you can see them there if you wish or you can pop over to IW also to see my problem. I am free to meet you tonight in either world if you have time. I really appreciate your help more than I can express.
  17. Curioser and curioser... I went to the Hold animation and cleared the collar bones. When I did that and reuploaded it at priority 4 . Placed it in the Bouquet with trigger on attach script, the walk Walks. I made the walk animation shorter in hopes that wd make it slower- I think it did but may need more twaeking i am really going nuts here. To add insult to injury, now the left arm jerks like crazy when I walk and I dont have a damn clue what else to do- if I lock the collar bone the walk doesnt function at all. If I unlock it, the left arm is all jerky- not the right arm at all, mind you, just the left. And they both have the exact same parameters but mirrored. I barely have any prim hair left to pull~
  18. Medhue.. Argh- so- I added a slight hip displacement in all key positions- re-uploaded, and.... Nothing- Zip - Nada. Argh.. so, much head banging later and I start looking at the Hold pose again. On a lark I unlocked the collar bones and re uploaded that. So - now we have a Walk!!! Yay! Success you say! Well.. I am racing across the sim like I am on speed- the walk is kicked in- I am not duck walking, I am holding bouquet - all is well - except for my fast foward appraoch to the bridal procession and of course that won't do... Back to the drawing board- I then clipped my animation waaaaay down and am going to try that next.... Stay tuned folks.

I had huge nightmare problems with this myself - see my cattail nightmares here: Blender Blunders or When Cattails Attack Several folks made suggestions in that thread and eventually some one led me to: Oblong Tessallation. That finally solved my problem and I have a lovely chunk of cattails now where ever I want them- all ONE PRIM!
  20. I will give this a try again tonight, however, when I first made the walk, I was adding a little hip sway by animating the hips. This, uploaded at priority 3 resulted in the floating effect. As I write this I am wondering however if the stand I used had a priority 4 on it... ALright something else to check tonight. I sure hope that does it and I will report back or come cry some more. Thanks once again!
  21. (Oops- my reply here was to Medhue- edited) So you think my walk is NOT kicking in because I did NOT animate the hips? So if I go back and add a slight change in the hip key frames the walk should work? I will try that next if I understood what you said. And thank you very much for your continued help.

Allow me to pick your brains a bit Medhue (you have been a huge help to me while learnign thiss btw, just in case I haven't thanked you enough :matte-motes-big-grin-squint: ) So- I am making a Bridal Walk. I read what you said here, loaded the walk portion as a priority 3. The legs, knees, feet and abdomen have movement. The upper body including the hips are all at zero. I loaded that into an AO. I did not include a stand or sit or fly or any of that as it is not relevant. No big deal to add a stand if necessary btw. The Hold Bouquet portion I did upload as a 4 with legs and hips and abdomen all at zero. The upper body is the only one with changes, for example the neck and head rotate a littleso the bride can look around. I believe the chest is locked - wd need to verify. Problem, the Hold Bouquet portion seems to woork fine however the walking is just not kicking in. I keep getting the default duck-walk rather the hopefully more graceful walk I intended. Suggestions not oly welcome but begged for . To OP, sorry for slight derail but seemed the theme was similar enough to add to this thread. Thanks everyoone in advance.

  25. Maybe it's a "new" redevelopment? I have an "army" of alts and never had to pay for any- then again the last one was made about a year ago so...
