  1. I don't have a house yet (I'm trying!) so I'm curious. Are the Linden Homes not at all modifiable? So you can't even select the existing face of the walls and change the color or texture?
  2. Do a search for auto refresh for your type of browser. I see Chrome has quite a few.
  3. I just wish they'd make the "Terms and Conditions" box a little bigger. I swear that's killing me every time. I have a hard time clicking it quick! 😂
  4. Wow! Thanks so much! :matte-motes-big-grin:
  5. Aww, thank you so much for featuring my picture. I appreciate it! :matte-motes-big-grin:
  6. Hi! Lately I've been having problems taking pictures inworld, and saving them to my computer. When I click the snapshot button, it shows the little side menu with the picture preview, but if you look at the size of the file it will say "Unknown" kb, and the save button is greyed out. Changing the angle, or the environment setting and retaking the picture doesn't help. I sometimes have to log out and log back in multiple times to get it to work. Has anyone else had any problems with this? This has become an issue in just the past couple of weeks, and everything was working fine before that. I'll be honest...I haven't had much time to see if I have the same problem either in the old 1.23 viewer, or in a third party viewer. I was more just curious as to whether anyone else was having the same issue. Thanks!
  7. I totally agree Xmara. This new editor is TERRIBLE. I had started a separate thread about it (which seems to have been deleted), but my complaints are pretty much exactly the same as yours. :matte-motes-frown:
  8. Thank you, Charlotte. Yes, I see that, but it's still very clugy, and not very intuitive. Frankly, I just flat out hate it. I don't understand why it had to change...it was so quick and easy to use before! Not to mention the editor is now HUGE, and takes up so much of the screen. :matte-motes-frown: When I edit a pre existing setting, I don't necessarily want to save it as something new, as I may never use it again. And I also don't want to save the changes to the pre-existing preset, as I like having the original base to work with. I liked how the old viewer would let you edit the setting on the fly, and just temporarily. I'm so frustrated by this change, and am having a hard working with it. I may have to go back through the older versions, and see if one has what I want, while still allowing me to *at least* use shadows. I just can't get used to this new one. It sucks.
  9. Thanks, but I have the all the presets already, including Torley's, copied over from the prior version. So I did have them, I just couldn't figure out where to get to them within the newest viewer, and LL hasn't updated the Wiki to explain where everything is in the latest 3.0.3 version. I'm hardly a newbie at SL...I've been doing this almost 4 years. But I've stuck with the old viewer a long time as it's dependable and easy to maneuver. Honestly, I only upgraded to Viewer "2" because I bought a new computer, and wanted it for the ability to do shadows and DOF. My whole point of starting this thread was to get some help on the "how" of things. Which others have helped me to do, and I appreciate it.
  10. OK, thank you! I must have misunderstood. I'll give it a try tonight, and see how it works. It still doesn't look like it gives you the detailed tweak-ability of the old one, though, which is disappointing. But then, LL is known for taking something that isn't broken, and breaking it.
  11. So...instead of keeping a nice all-in-one tool that let you easily change presets and edit them to your heart's content, I now have to go one place to load the preset, then go to another place to do the editing, and repeat this process every time? That is sooooo LAME! A pox on LL for taking a simple, easy to use tool, and turning it into an unwieldy, user un-friendly, un-intuitive, multi-process mess.
  12. Let me amend my prior reply...yes, you can get to all of the different Windlight settings from there, but the former versions had an editor that would let you customize and adjust the lighting, the clouds, the amount of haze, etc. That is no longer there. So I will *still* use a third party viewer unless or until Linden Labs brings that feature back. That was an incredibly helpful tool, and a big BOOOOO to LL for getting rid of it.
  13. I don't want a fixed sky, though...I want to use all the other lovely Windlight Settings that people have created over the years, and to edit them on the fly. And I don't want to have to re-create them all. This is ridiculous! I can't believe that LL would be so ignorant to do away with such a wonderful tool, knowing how many people in SL like to use it for photography purposes. Guess I'm stuck with an alternate viewer until there's a solution for this!
  14. I upgraded to 3.0.3 this evening, and when I went to World -> Environment Editor -> Sky Presets, instead of being able to choose from my collection of Windlight Settings, I got another small menu that only gives the following options: New Preset. Edit Preset, or Delete Preset. Where did they go? I'll be damned if I'm going to try and hand create all the settings that I have that *used* to work!
