  1. This seems to be a situation where one step is taken forward and another back. Some time ago, I sailed from Newport Yacht Club to Saint Helene. At that time, I could pass through Rollo with no problems but was blocked by a no-public-access region at Starstrider, requiring me to backtrack and sail up the waterway that runs North from Chopsaw to Skains.

Since then, Rollo is blocked, but Linden Labs (presumably) has reserved a narrow corridor along the southern boundary of Starstrider, and a number of similar corridors which do allow one to sail round the West coast of the continent. Which is great. Now if we could just persuade them to stop running their corridors diagonally across regions from corner to corner, forcing skippers to brave the dreaded four-corner-sim-crossing...

I too have attempted to contact "the management" of the Rollo region, but have received no reply. I can understand that they might find it annoying to be hassled over what is really not their problem, but it is a great pity that they can't see their way clear to allowing at least a corridor along the northern edge of the region.

  2. Thanks for the reply, Rolig,

I do issue an llStopAnimation on avatar standing. And my "stop engine" sequence does set physics off. That's not really the problem. My avi does not animate after standing, or while "tangled up" in the vehicle. Instead, when I press the up arrow key to walk forward after dismounting, my avi runs instead of walking.

Further testing seems to confirm that this problem only arises if I have "double-tapped" the up arrow key while in vehicle mode. It's as if those keypresses (which would normally activate running) "bleed through" from vehicle mode to avatar-walking-about mode.

As a work-around I'm going to try turning off "double-tap" running.

  3. I have built and scripted a submarine, and mostly it works fine, but I have a niggling bug that I can't figure out. When I stop the sub and unsit from it, sometimes my avatar is in "always run" mode, as if I had pressed Cmd-R or double-tapped up-arrow. I can clear the problem by pressing Cmd-R twice, but it is annoying.

Testing seems to suggest that my avi is remembering keypresses issued to the submarine. I think my problem must be that somehow I am not clearing the sub controls properly, but I issue llReleaseControls() when the the submarines "engine" stops, and if the avi unsits without stoping the engine too.

Can someone point me in the right direction, please?

  4.  I have happily been buying L$ for years, but over the last few days, I have been unable to buy either through LindeX through my browser (my normal method) or inworld through the viewer. The last date on which I was able to buy successfully was 6th September. Since then, my attempts to buy are met with a message that they failed having "timed out". I have double-checked that my payment info is current, that my credit card has not expired, and that my credit card account is in good standing. I have even confirmed with my credit-card provider that they have not blocked any transactions on my account.

I am fairly sure that the problem lies somewhere in the payment gateway between LindeX and my credit-card company. I would open a support ticket, but as a Basic Account my options for doing so are very restricted, and none of the options offered seem relevant. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
