I'll reserve judgment for when I've had a chance to test this, but this part sounds like it'll be annoying.

AND needs to be the default. How often do you really need an OR search? This annoys me to no end. The universe seems intent on making search engines more and more useless by bombarding you with irrelevant results (Yes, I'm also looking at you, Google).
