  1. It looks like a strange render - the detailing in the hair strands don’t even appear to be photoshopped in, but rendered. Perhaps the image was used as a suggestion that “you can be anything you want to be” but all I really want to do now is play an mmo based on the movie Avatar where I don’t have to spend 13k lindens, and live my best Navi life. Where’s my new starter avatar + bow and arrow? 😭
  2. I find that I am often sullen and serious in both lives. Smiling doesn’t come naturally to me in RL either.
  3. Shower, evening. Baths make me feel like I’m soaking in my own filth. Not to say that I’m filthy, but it just seems like they defeat the purpose, you know? Evening because again with the filth thing. My OCD/Anxiety probably plays into it too with my need for a clear and concise schedule expectation. But ugh - I just can’t imagine sleeping in my own skin after a long day of doing who knows what, and just rolling under the covers like an egg roll in the crack of a sidewalk. Heebie Jeebies.
  4. It's likely that one or more of these objects had scripts running in them (I'll point fingers at the sinks) that involve the steam and/or texture changing, so when they were rezzed, for whatever reason the script cycled and boop!
  5. They shouldn’t be returnable, though, if the anchor is on the proper parcel. Unless something in land ownership capabilities has changed in the last 15 years. 😕 But I also don’t think it’s be possible to check your items in “about land” if you don’t have ownership of that parcel, or rights within the group that the parcel is deeded to. Don’t get me wrong, she’s probably a frustrating neighbor, but I also don’t consider it to be bad behavior ONLY for returning infringing items. After all - we all pay for our square meters and the Li that comes along with it.
  6. Oof! Have you tried unchecking “avatars on other parcels can see and chat with avatars on this parcel”? It’s really something they should have done, but.. either that’s or block the object!
  7. Sorting out my new mainland area - definitely still a work in progress, but I like where it's going so far! Complete with chickens playing tennis, a taco stand, and there's some other things in the back there somewhere.
  8. Oh, folks can cam around and walk through all they want - I'm just a big fan of uniformity (I know, what the heck am I doing on Mainland). BUT! My neighbors really have nothing out, so it's mostly flatish green land all around me (of which I'm not complaining) right now. I suppose in this case, it's about controlling the view from my parcel, yet still being able to do the +/- terraforming on the ground, so I went with trees and a glass wall, some other things - still working on it so verdict is out to see if my one neighbor throws her snakes in my boot.
  9. Oh, I didn't think about autoreturn! That's an idea! I might turn up my eject time to a bit more than it currently is set, just because I don't particularly MIND if people cross through, i just don't want them necessarily living there. And of course - no TPing home - just scoot over the glass wall, if you please.
  10. The title sounds aggressive, but this is more a query than anything. I’d considered posting this in the Mainland section, but realized that although my specific land in question is mainland, I’m sure this is a situation that renters on private regions can also relate to. The question: How do you be a good neighbor? I have finally, after a few different characters in SL, some breaks, and lots of interesting adventures into non-mainland renting, have obtained mainland (abandoned land!) in a lovely, relatively open area, with somewhat distant neighbors who seem to use their parcels as sandboxes to unpack items. As somebody who adores landscaping and decorating, but also enjoys her privacy, I would like to do a tasteful border and set up on my parcel, but also don’t want to upset anyone by using large cliffs. I know -mainland is free game and you do what you want because you pay for it, blah blah, but I also don’t wish to ruin the grassland vibes happening and upset folks. I’ve always rented my private region areas where terraforming is already blocking the views to guarantee privacy, so this is a relatively new concept to me, despite my many years in SL. SO! Is 15s warning on an orb acceptable (to still allow for flyers, of course)? Would you consider nicely textured cliffs and/or pine trees around a border unsightly? If I were to decorate a retirement home with a wheelchair racing track and hosted bingo Thursdays, would the joyful sounds of dentures clacking together in laughter around 6pm SLT keep you up at night? What are some things have you seen that would make somebody a bad neighbor? I’m quite sure this is all a personal preference, so please don’t attack each other in the comments. 💖
  11. I released a water’s edge cabin yesterday! I’m not sure if it’s still open or not, though.
  12. Hmm.. have you checked Modulus in-world?
  13. That hair is from Doux. It was at the Tres Chic event this past month - I’ve no idea when the event closes, though, to where the hair will be in the main store. Here is the Media Post from the creator.
  14. It may help if you give a few ideas of what you’re looking for. For example: there is a significant difference between a modern interior with a suburban exterior type of look vs. a boho farmhouse interior with a country road exterior. Many folks invest and specialize in certain type themes, so may not have what you need. I do not have time to pick up any projects right now, but I might suggest you take a peek at this group. There is but a tiny niche of us players here on the forums - you may get more responses there!
  15. My husband has told me that no matter how many times I try to hit my pc tower, I’m not Miss Frizzle and I can’t dive into my screen. so it’s the lack of ability to pop on in for me, I suppose. Also, it much cheaper to buy a pair of breasts in SL in the case I don’t like the originals.
  16. The first hair looks like something you might find at Ayashi or BonBon. Be warned that it does look like some of the front parts of that hair have been drawn on, so it’s quite possible you might not find that EXACT hair. As far as split-colors, Olive tends to do a lot of dual colors. [LCKY] does split colors in ALL their hairs, I believe - but you'll want to demo first. ALSO - ^ This is a gacha from YumYum hair.
  17. Would just like to add to this that technically, Belisseria covenant allows skyboxes at 2000m or higher, but I would recommend following Rolig’s suggestion of editing a prim to the size of your platform and moving it up. You can move it up easily by editing the prim, selecting the Z axis in the position portion of the build window, and type in the correct numbers for Z. In addition, in some viewers you can utilize shortcuts to tp up (assuming routing isn’t on) by typing “gth 2000” (minus the “) in local chat. No need to fly, then!
  18. Rant: Covid is keeping my favorite seafood restaurant closed because the crabs are all in quarantine too. Share: I haven’t had a haircut in over a year. I also had the thought that it would be super strange to see people without masks on... and then family from the “yeehaw-country” side of the country posted photos of a literal no-mask hoedown in a barn. Masks aren’t mandated there (ish) and it WAS strange.
  19. Please don’t let somebody take advantage of you by charging an excessive amount of lindens for something that can be self-taught. Emoting is essentially writing yourself a tiny book with each word said. Your goal is to be dynamic - set yourself with a scene.. how you feel, what you’re doing. Typically with dancing gigs, you’re shooting for more of an erotic novel type vibe. Rent yourself a few books from the Kindle store and have fun. I live my SL in the PG lane, but hopefully you stumble into what you’re looking for!
  20. I have seen some significant decreases in use of the Belleza bodies because, as was mentioned, the updates aren’t as frequent and people move on. Maitreya is the most widely clothing-supported. Maitreya is actually my main body as well - although the biggest complaints I’ve seen are regarding the broader, squared shoulders. Legacy is the uprising body to the point that there are more and more stores rigging for it. The Kupra is the newest rising star, and while some of the big named brands are rolling out clothing updates with those rigging options, it still might be a good idea to hold off on this one if daily outfit changes are something you do.
  21. I spent most of my time in RL, but I admit that I did pop into SL to check out a couple of venues where I listened to music and worked on the other screen.
  22. It should be noted that Nutmeg is, unfortunately, notoriously complex and heavy on the vertices/polys. It’s pretty to look at, but pudding if you have enough of it in one place. I have an acquaintance whose home may as well be a Nutmeg showpiece. Lovely, but laggy. It does seem to be a developing norm, Chic.
  23. Are you sure you aren’t an albatross?
  24. Harlow Heslop has a great inventory organization tutorial Here. That being said - it’s going to take some time. Delete demos, non important notecards, scripts, and landmarks. Additionally, delete old system layers you know you won’t wear. Box up all those old neko tails and stompers from 2009 and put them in a time capsule in your inventory for a rainy day, for it would be a crime to delete them. Delete clothes meant for mesh bodies that you don’t own or don’t use. That should take a pretty big chunk out!
  25. Haha. I was just telling my friend yesterday that I was thinking about Lacy Knickers. He said no
