There is always one who come in and use derogatory words as "gigantess" in every thread about size.

In terms of realistic and functional, I struggle more with how my avatar look in houses and furniture. I am too old in SL to adapt a new camera angle so in the default camera position, it is a balance between ceiling height and height of windows and doors. I like a bit higher ceiling, but I really don't like it when doorknobs are placed as high as my nipples, if you get what I'm saying. A functional height for me is 6' or 1,8 - 1,9 m. I have found houses and furniture who fit well together. I am 5'95 in front of the house, and it works because it is a manor style build. Manors are bigger that average houses. But 6'10 would look better in the furniture. I can resize everything down because most of what I have is mod, but is it realistic to do it with all things? I buy much from the same designer and it is more convenient to change myself. I know some people have a different view, that they should never adjust their avatar to match SL furniture. They are entitled to their opinion, but I take the easy way out and change 1 thing, myself, instead of everything else. Low quality photos, sorry. This difference in height is the standard SL. Men prefer to be among the tallest in the crowd. Maybe they shrink a bit, since so much good quality furniture is made towards a bit more realistic size. But I will say that the females has been at least a head shorter during SLs time, and still is. It is not all, of course, but I think it's the majority.

True, from the front. It is only the triangles next to the nostrils, and it can be hidden with the correct windlight. From the side and half profile, that is different to me. I was using the Loud Mouth before mesh heads, I see a big difference in the mouth from the side with mesh. It is fine if you have no interest in animating the face, or have a slighly open mouth. I also like to move the hands and fingers individually. You should do what makes YOU happy. Don't care if all others use mesh. You are you, with your style.

Thank you. I don't think I bother to pick it up. I have a new winter cabin from Schulz Bros, from the Snowstorm edition of Builders Box. It looks better and is 90 LI. I have never picked up a premium gift, not one. It is because I started as premium late, I suppose. I am spoilt by all the amazing creations I get elsewhere. I sometimes think I will get a gift, but always forget it. But by all means, it is nice of LL to offer it, and it looks nice. For one like me, I would prefer some more LI added to my land for free, but hey, I know I can't get it.

300 animations sound like a lot to handle. Do you use it for dancing in clubs? Maybe you need advice from professional dancers, I never had that many in an AO. If you will just walk, stand, fly and all the common moves, I use the built in AO in Firestorm. Catwa offer more diversity than ever, it's not just one mouth to rule them all now. What people buy is a whole different picture. I, for one, hesitate to switch heads because of the price. I am sure others think the same and are used to the lips. New head buyers perhaps only hear about the Catya head, the oldest with ducklips. So they buy what are recommended for them, or they see all the products for "Catwa Catya" and think that's the head with best options.

It can be smart to start looking at demos now, in case there will be a Christmas gift or sales. If you find heads that you think will work for you, you are prepared. I recommend you to join the groups that are free to join, so you don't miss messages about this. It can be a flash sale.

I recommend this thread too, if you go back a page or more, you will find @Coby Fodens posts on a 512 plot. She has very low land impact furniture and build.

The bolded: What do you want? Do you like what you see around you on the ground? If you don't, then a skybox is the best. Or do you want a garden and house/cottage on the ground? Is it flat or flat/ish? And, a budget. Do you plan to spend L, and what's your limit? Are your style modern, classic, dungeon (lol)

Haha. Usually I don't wear tattoos in SL but if I do, it's all in. The only way to tell it's the default head, is zooming on around the nostrils. The mouth is either a teeth tattoo, an alpha that show teeth, the PXL teeth, or the Loud Mouth mouth. The Loud Mouth add-on improved my profile so much, but it was hard to edit and had a seam. I see that I wrote that the picture was unedited, so I did a good job with the windlight, or I used another solution than Loud Mouth.

I do the same as Skell did and take a Flickr photo, no way I bother to make a look without the head. But here I have the Wowmeh mesh body and Slink hands.

I also saw that you say it was a box symbol with a "no" over. This can be land permissions getting borked a short time because LL does some maintenance. The "copy selected" should still work on prims.

So you were able to rez one set? It should not be the floor that is an issue then. Try ctrl + alt + T to see if it is a red shape where you will rez. This can be from a rug, you will see the real size of the rug is much larger, or from a tree on the outside. (ctrl + alt + T takes you back to normal view) A smart tip that saves me time when I rez many similar items like curtains: The edit box has a tab with a magic wand symbol for creating prims inworld. But the "copy selected" is genius. If you click on that and then click an object, it duplicates it. The benefit is that it is created in almost the same spot so you don't have to adjust every set of curtains up and down. Just use the edit tool and slide the new set of curtains over to the next window, and nudge it a bit closer to it. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Building_Tools Of course this does not work on all mesh and you get that unable to rez or is it unable to copy message. I just decorated the house with wreath and garlands, and had to edit 26 of them in place.

Can you see some edge of the tattoo? Do you wear clothes with lace? It can be an alpha sorting issue. Else, what Resi said. A Club is laggy and it can be a problem.

True, and I see a turn to the Genus head now. But it is 5500 L now, even more than Catwa and Lelutka. They are the three big ones, this Halloween for the first time, I saw content made for Genus that wasn't offered for either Catwa, Lelutka or Omega. A sign? Anyway, the Genus isn't an affordable alternative any more. Time will show if it's going to rise, or fall in popularity.

The animations and ease of use is what matters for me when I buy a head, not that I have to try and test a bunch of other facial AOs and hope it works, or that I must hunt down the few skins that look good on the head. The big brands like Catwa and Lelutka sell not just a head, but a system that is widely supported and makes customization so easy. I pay for that.

I tried some Omega appliers on it and it did not look good. It is a good buy if you want to use the included skin. Or maybe another skin from LAQ. For my alt that need a special ethnic look, it is totally not it, can not use it even for free with a free HUD. But that is my problem, not others. I can not expect gifts that I want or need. It would probably not work for the majority.

TY it's a new to me store, Bygone. Pepper and Pomegranate wreath and garland. And the matching swag is a gift in the store. I mixed it with Botanical's lights.

This is the second entry, between the garage and the house. I think I overdid the decoration. Maybe. It is a very earthy color scheme. Natural Christmas.

I am most interested in a head, maybe there will be a group offer for half price or something like that. Does not Altamura freebies have just one skintone and no appliers work for them? I picked up the Emmanuelle avatar while I was looking around. For those who try the LAQ demo, maybe they should get that freebie, because it includes facial AO and maybe the animations, alt least some, work on the LAQ head.

I joined the Altamura group just to read the notices. I could not see anything about this special gift. Maybe there will be a teaser.
