Do not hope that 1024 land by protected road or protected water will be sold to you by default. LL know it is popular, so they can just as well set it in an auction. That can drive the price up, because you might bid on it and your bid is the highest 1 second before the auction ends, but people have some program to buy it in the last second. They snap it up for a few L more, and offer it to you for double the price. Speaking of experience. But there are so many who say the opposite. I am not sure if they asked for popular land or not. Land away from water that is abandoned should be possible to get directly from LL and they set a price to 1L per square m.

You have to know how it works and use a viewer that let you permanently derender objects like this, and not bother so much about builds that's not to your taste with too many parts to derender. If you can't live with that attitude, it is better to have land on a private estate with rules. I wish a viewer let users click on the ground and choose: "derender all on this parcel".

I have done this by a mistake myself. I search part of the word, so if the landmark start with the same as the outfit, I did accidentally click on the landmark instead of the dress. And it works in sitting position too. As you say, land change owners all the time. How many times have I not used a landmark on purpose, just to find the place changed owners and it's not the same. It is more likely than other suggestions, I say.

I had many chances to log in this Christmas, but I barely did it. I will have to seriously consider downgrading what I pay for premium since I got a not so nice financial message just before Christmas. The downside of having much land, is that I am not sure how to handle going back to a lower land impacts number. One side of going premium that I didn't think about.

Now I remember something from a month ago. Lots of people had problems with their alphas not working properly. The fix then, was to just go into appearance mode and out again.

Does the skin look correct when you are naked?

I couldn't live on Mainland unless I had some attitude of "I don't care what's in the neighbors parcel". And I decided that if I was unlucky and got some really horrible things next door, I would move in a skybox and wait for them to move again. I like the Linden road. I liked to live in Fruit Islands too. Fruit Islands had some of the same feeling of "life", always some green dots and often boats sailing around.

Aesthetics -- Attractive because it's by the L-shaped lake and easy to travel by boat to Bay of Space Pigs. It is a few eyesores. I am surprisingly numb to them. Maybe because I always have eyes on my land and fuss with it. Some derendering of a certain eyesores, a lower draw distance and I am ok. Community -- Don't meet locals, but meet people who travel. Time zones may be a factor. I had 2 neighbors before that I talked to quite often, but they moved. It was sad. Amenities/Infrastructure -- Water and road and I own my land. Neighborhood -- Well I don't know. It is Mainland and so put up anything and all. At the moment it is some ugliness but that is really old residents that has owned land for ages, long before me so who am I to complain. Best thing is no skyboxes really low. I wish a viewer let me click on land and derender all on it. Maybe some viewer has it? Cost of Living -- I made my alts premium. No additional cost. Safety/Security -- I can set land to group. Can use banlines and all sorts of security. Freedom of Movement -- No banlines around me. Have not encountered security orbs. Never been griefed. Like to chat to people who travel around in SL. I feel that private land is so closed from all others. IDK how to place points. I had no problems selling land in the sim. I bought too much land and sliced off some so I could get a big piece of land instead of spread parcels. I think it's 8/10 resell value for mainland outside places like Zindra and double prim land. Because of road and protected water. Aesthetics. Average for mainland. 4/10 for those who don't derender stuff. 6/10 for those that do. But no mainland can ever beat a private estate aesthetics with a theme and a covenant that is enforced.

I think only Firestorm has this kind of map? I have not used the default viewer in years, literally. I like that I can hoover the mouse over the green dots in mini-map and get up avatar names, see their profile, zoom in on them and so on. If I see an avatar standing on the road next to my parcel, I often do this. Also Firestorm, yes?

It must be a HUD. Look at all the "worn" or "wearing" items with a box icon. Do not think it has to be named Laq. It can be Master Hud, Control Hud, Main Hud, tinting Hud. Or not named Hud at all. Do you see box icons you do not understand what is? You know what type clothes you wear, what hair, AO and so on. If it is an unknown box icon, try to remove it. You can try a relog. Some times items appear to be worn even after you removed them. A relog is often enough to clear it up. I never use the default LL viewer. The window over is Firestorm. If you use the default LL viewer, right-click your avatar and select Edit my outfit. The Appearance window opens. Click on Attachments to see all attachments, try to find unknown items and detach them.

I think you have attached a HUD to your avatar. Try to look at worn and see if it is something named Laq Hud and detach it.

Niramyth Enzo or Smith avatar, includes head, 2799 L. Try demo first. There are other bodies and heads, but this is the best price for a full, very strong avatar. But you will look just like any other avatar with it. You can add another face, like the ones from Nivaro. That is 950 L more. Try demo first. Use Aesthetic as search words for tattoos on the Marketplace. That should give you an idea. You can find ordinary mesh hair that works for the Aesthetic head, but then it must be unrigged. Caligula sells Aesthetic hair. Full gladiator outfit like PFC - Glory, 750 L. Can be possible to find cheaper parts, but then you often find low quality. Check that all pieces shown is included if you buy cheap sets. You will need an AO for your Bento Hands. Voir, TuTys, Oracul,Sinse or Vista. Price from 399 (Voir) and up to several thousand. Try demos in the stores. Try demos first, always. Make sure you understand how the mesh avatar works. Read instructions. Join the group, there is always a group joiner in the stores. You can probably get answers faster there.

What does a bit limited budget mean? No use to suggest items that's too expensive. We had people asking for full mesh avatars, hair, clothes, body and head with just 1000 L to spend in total. Do you need everything, even hair? What about armor and weapons system? You will be fighting in the arena? What is your friend going to use in the arena, is he providing weapons?

I don't think it is LL, I think it was an glitch. What happened and why it was locked up, I don't know. Does anyone know if LL announce if it was unscheduled maintenance? I see that the last scheduled maintenance was 4 days ago. Nothing about trouble since then. I don't know much about these things. I have seen lots of posts from people over the years from people who ask if they have been banned, since they get the message even if they copy and paste the correct password. It has been due to unscheduled maintenance. I don't know if you tried to write your password too many times and was shut down for security. I have never used Live chat, it is the only thing I know about besides to submit a ticket. LL announced that there will be no support the 25th, but it will be open the 24th and then the 26th and so on.

Do not think it is too late for cunomar. This happen in a very unfortunate time, I am sure LL give people leave for the holidays and run on a skeleton crew. Do you have something to do while you wait? Maybe read FabFree and go on a hunt for gifts. Since you never leave adult sims, perhaps do something totally different and explore mainland, as one other poster here does. Just to keep you occupied on the alt. I doubt that you will find your main frozen where you logged off, but if I were you, I would go there and look just because.

Can you log in as McCuno Resident?

Try to teleport here to NCI in Kuula. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kuula/55/168/29 I was living close by in Poliahu, and the road was open both northeast and southwest from NCI. Do you have banlines turned on? You can see them in time and stop if you don't travel fast. There can be a problem with security orbs that are set to a wide radius and reach on over the road. I am not sure what can be done with them. Trees and other phantom objects should not be a problem if they are planted and overhang the road. I wonder if you should make landmarks as you travel, if you are teleported home you can go back to the last one and progress slowly. If you are on Linden road or water and you find something blocking the road, you can submit a ticket and ask to have it removed, I think. I have not used the default LL viewer so I am not familiar with it. The Firestorm map is good, and I can see the roads so clearly. I can also click on the map, on the road in the next sim and teleport there, it is a way to get past a roadblock or a nasty security orb.

The Fruit Islands is another place you can sail. You can rez your boat at the public beach. These are private sims with land to rent. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Fruit Islands/9/71/22 If I were new, I would sail around there, and if it was no green dots on the map, I would use the camera to look better at the houses and gardens there. Many really, really impressive boats outside to admire. People probably don't like it if you pause your boat outside their land for a long time, so just sail past where green dots show the owner is home. Or IM them and ask if you can come in and admire their place. Some will probably not answer or say no, but many would like it and let you look around. It's nice to show off your place to polite people. I rented in the Pear sim, and it was so lovely. I have a RL that keep me from SL in long periods. I could not justify for myself to pay the rent when I couldn't log in, so I let the place go.

You already have a rideable horse, actually two, in your inventory. They are a part of the new(est?) starter avatars LL released in 2017. I have not used them since 2017 so my memory isn't so good. But I used them with my own avatar (Skin/body/clothes). not the standard, I think I only attached the horse and AO. The female avatar only has a side sit since they are renaissance avatars but I found out how to trick the system and use the male horse for the common sit. This video shows where to find them, go in the library -> clothing and the female is Rihanna (Or Rihannon?) Will you rent or buy? I live on Mainland next to the L-shaped Lake. It was expensive land, and it is not much land on offer there. Before, I lived next to the waterways in Innu, but that was too complicated to navigate to some lake. Around the Mare Secundus is perhaps a good place to hunt for land. Second Norway has lovely places. If you rent in private places, there is a covenant that make sure the look is not destroyed by huge privacy screens, vampire castles and low skyboxes. The covenant is mid/northern Europe plants and builds that will fit in. If you like tropical islands, you must check out Fruit Islands. I totally loved to live there, but it will cost you. You must pay 4 weeks rent up front, and the rent is higher than you are used to. You can sail around there everywhere. The covenant there is tropical plants and builds, but you don't have to use tiki homes, ordinary family homes is fine.
