Now you made me curious. I had to look at my block list. I have 62 in total, avatars and objects. I have several ones starting with "group". Does that mean I have blocked IM from group chat? I don't know what else it is. And Bloodlines - thirst. That is quite understandable. And a plant pet? Sounds like it was talking near me and I blocked it. 2 statues and a hot air balloon. Several annoying stores. I have blocked a book, a tree and a tush. And Lolas Tangos and a security orb. Why an orb? No idea. Plus an security plant? Half of a piercing. The Dressing Room - probably a subscriber that send out messages. I unblocked it to see if the event is still alive. Surprisingly many avatars. If they have a high rendering number, I block them in crowded places. I think half of them is that.

Only way I could find out before, was to click on reviews and try to write a review. If I get the message "You must purchase this before you can write a review" than I know it's safe, I haven't bought it. But this new function is so much better and faster. Even the date it is bought. Love++++

Not a home, but me texturing and editing a build from Anna Er0tica. I was thinking, if I edit and sell some pictures in SL, I need a store. I have already paid a year membership for 2 avatars so why not use the land. I didn't like the store "as is" but that's not a problem as long as the build is cheap, low LI and mod. My avatar is tiny and between 2 builds. The smallest is really big enough. For some reason, inside walls and floors were set to alpha masking, even if there were no reason. Original inside, first attempt, last one. I like the simpler walls since the ones with openings were too "busy" for me.

I think this is a good tutorial for Signature Gianni. It covers a lot about the HUD and how to use appliers. And how to use the built in alphas in the body, go to 22 minutes. And about skins, you will find that a lot of skins have painted in "hollow cheeks" with deep shades, it will not fit the slightly round face with full cheeks. You could go for a teenager face/skin with normal cheeks. Don't forget the brow shape. Many brow shapes is made for low, "angry" eyebrows. Video tutorial about how to make brow shapes. This is not changing the color or thickness of the eyebrows, but the shape. Higher brows without arched points will make the avatar look happier and more approachable. If you can get some money in RL, like working an hour overtime or skip a few purchases of coffee in your coffee shop, I would buy some §L and go straight for a Maitreya body. You will see that some have this body and some have that body, but all have Maitreya. I have read the TOS regarding snapshots. As far as I can tell, I am allowed to take snapshots on private land unless the covenant say it is forbidden. On Mainland, it is allowed everywhere. And it is allowed to take a snapshot in a pretty sim, buy a frame and sell it as decoration? If you downloaded Second Life from here: https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ you are on the official Second Life Viewer. I think the statistics say that the majority of Second Life users is using the third party viewer Firestorm. In fact, 60 to 75% prefer Firestorm. I am one of them. I have trouble going back to the official Second Life viewer. But I have a version of it, if I have to log in and check if something is as I remember it. There are so many threads about "what viewer do you prefer" here and as I already said, I am a hard Firestorm user. I would not quit Second Life if I was forced to use only the official viewer. You struggle a bit with Second Life and the interface of FS is a bit different. Not so much different. It could add some confusion for you. It could also make it easier since FS is so popular, it is more likely that the person(s) that reply to your questions use FS and their answer refer to settings in FS. In this case, it is nice that FS has a direct button called "Bumps, pushes and hits" and also a direct button for "Abuse report". I think your case is perhaps bad enough for an abuse report. I have the camera control floater up all the time, and I can not change size of it in the official viewer. It is also semi-transparent in FS. Every time I use the official viewer, it annoys me. FS has eliminated many clicks and had direct click buttons. Let us say you are in the club called The Dancing Panda and someone bullies you. You can find out who owns the club in a single click in FS, because the button "land" is ready for you at the top. I can have mini-map up and click on a green dot in FS, and zoom there to look at the avatar. Useful if someone moves towards me. Define "grab". Does he bump you, send your avatar flying up? Does he grind against you? Or animate you against your will, like forcing you to dance or stand in embarassing positions? You can find how to deal with it here: The "harassment" is here:

Maybe some of the skin stores have inworld "discount" areas. I have a feeling about this, that they might have pulled their skins from the MP when they priced them down, to avoid LL taking its part from MP sales. Just a feeling, but that is what I would have done if I were them and had prims for the vendors. I know about one female skin store that does this, Pink Fuel. If I were you, I would look at older posts from Skell and other male bloggers before they used mesh. It is possible to look in the interesting stores for discount skins hidden in a corner. Or try to contact them or the CSR for the store and ask polite if they will sell the system skin. The system skins are still in the creators inventory unless it is deleted by them. And maybe they will sell it. The worst they can do is to ignore your question or say no.

Maitreya body with flat chest add-on is still looking like a feminine man, or androgynous. Still no reply if he will spend money on it or not. Second Life advertise it is "free to play" but that is with the basic avatar, not with user-created mesh bodies. The default or classic male starter avatar in its male skin with free makeup layers - not appliers - and free clothes that uses layers plus prims, is the only way to get this look for free.

And what is your budget. Mesh bodies and heads are expensive, if you will make special looks. You can find free heads, but they cant use lipsticks, et cetera. A freebie avatar like you ask for is possible, but I don't post more before I know if you will buy something or not.

Well, I recall some posts where she say that she tried to search. It is impossible to know where someone comes from. And if they "get" Secondlife or not. Should SL be so difficult that only persons with an angels patience who will research all possible things about Second Life can use it? And also research things no one told them about? I don't think we can imagine how it is to start today. It is so many complications. First of all, LL refused to make a mesh body that all could make content for. So we got this enormous market of bodies, heads, feet and hands. It is barely a decent freebie for classic body newbies anymore, unless they get a mesh body. Many will not spend money before they "learn how to use SL". It is not easy to see on the vendors, what they buy. We think it is simple, because we know it all, all the names and systems. Then LL decided to have starter mesh avatars that is no modify. Then they decided to have both "wear" and "add". Plus that we old users, is several step ahead of newbies. Always. We simply can't think basic enough. An example, Sandras avatar was suddenly walking different. "All" started to talk about Animation Overrides that is attached to screen, or "sexywalk" shoes. Not that I am so clever, but I remembered that LL has added Animation Overrides with the starter avatars, and OF COURSE LL had to make it special. The LL AO attach to Center 2, and is not visible at all. So Sandra put on clothes by using "wear" and one of them had "Center 2" as attachment point. Poof, AO gone. And how shall a newbie know that? And we, of course has not used the new starter avatars, so we can be helpful, but we don't know about the starter AO. It was just luck that I tried on some of the starter avatars and could remember it. Typical for LL, they try to make things simple? And instead they make special shiny (*****ty) New Things that complicate everything.

Yes, but I try to make it as simple as possible. It clear from previous posts that we can not be too basic, we should not add on complications with more things to learn. Printscreen is perhaps the thing people are more likely to know. Make things so quick and simple as possible.

In her earlier posts, Sandra said clearly that she has a classic body, and she was explained the difference. Of course that can have changed. I recommend you taking screenshots, maybe Printscreen work fastest for you. You can then upload them here. I wish we had different versions of Second Life. Others already mention inventory sorting. I would love and adore a version that gave me access to the inventory alone, that I could open and sort through without opening SL itself. I am terrible with inventory management. I could work on my inventory 8 hours a day in two weeks, to get Marianne's inventory in some order. That would mean doing nothing else inworld. Not going places, not buying, not accepting notecards or what ever. Just boring, grueling work. And then, starting on my other avatars, their inventory being smaller, I could clean up and streamline them in 5 to 7 days maybe. If I could open a part of SL and do such inventory sorting without having to rez the world, I could do it more frequent.

Still recommending Catwa heads, because they are the most versatile. If you want a gentleman avatar that is not a 20 something or an elderly 70, there are not so many skins. But Gac Akina sell some interesting skins, he even have a Sean skin, I doubt it is Sean Connery. But this skin could look a lot like Sean Connery with darker eyebrows. And this skin, I think it can pass:

I read a blog post about how to make a Donald Trump avatar. She mention that Session skins has a true to life skin applier for Trump, and also one for Putin. I can not find these options on the Marketplace, so it might be worth it to check their Mainstore. It can also be lines from a hairbase demo or eyebrows demo. The fast and brutal way is to set the head to out-of-the-box default. Then apply skin and other appliers until you have your preferred look back. You find the options for reset next to the tinting options in the HUD. Use reset all.
