  1. I am looking for a nice boat that can be driven by more than just the owner. The one I currently have by The Mesh Shop does not allow anyone else to drive it.  My husband would like to drive it if he logs on and I am not online.  Does this exist?

  2. I love tattoos in SL. Unlike my RL tatts I can change them up depending on my mood/outfit. I do have some favorites though. I also have had 2 of my 4 made in SL, but they need to be updated to BOM.

    Salty was my suggestion

So it was you! LOL I am kinda kicking myself for not suggesting it. It's the name of my store, so when I saw it on the list I had to change my name, even though I liked my last name of 14+ years. Thank you for suggesting it! :D

  5. Raven is 14 years old, born on 07/08/2005. My original av (yes I still log on) is now Sweet 16, born on 09/23/2003.

I bought one of those birthday cakes for my original av, but apparently it only  goes up to age 12 lol. Oh well!

It would be interesting to know what factors the algorithm uses.  I suspect that something like "skin tone" is given a hefty weight, on the theory that younger skin is less likely to have the wrinkles, bumps, and discolorations that accumulate with age.  Our SL skins don't have those unless they are deliberately drawn in, and our images are more gently contoured and cartoony than photos of our RL faces appear.  We breaking the rules by applying a RL algorithm to a virtual image, so it's no wonder that it gets our ages wrong.   What surprises me is that I get the ages wrong too.  I think my brain uses a RL algorithm too.

I tested this with a couple of RL pics. One was from 2015, it said I looked 70. And the other was from 2017, it said I look 27. (I am 48)  So I don't know. *shrugs* Could be something to do with the lighting too.

These days, only GenX and older seem to. The young'uns seem to enjoy instagram more.

I have to disagree with this. My son is Gen Z (20) and has FB, as do all of his high school friends, and newer friends from college and work. He is on FB all the time, much more than I am lol. Same goes for my RL friends kids, I have them added to my FB.  Also I have a FB for SL and see a lot of young people  on there. I think it's just a matter of preference.
