Thanks you soo much, I am myself again, ready to build. I didn't realise that using two monitors would give some many problems; re-bake the textures did the trick, I can dress my av as before. Thanks again!

Yes, i do use two monitors. Should I use only 1 when in SL?

Hi, I have been a resident in Sl since January 2006 and a builder for many years. The shape, colour and outfit of my avatar is important to me and I have never had any problems until using Viewer 2 last year when my avatar totally lost its appearance while switching between Viewer 1 and 2. So I remodelled my av and used mainly viewer 2. Then one day my av turned black and next transparent. I was wearing my usual outfit, jeans, top, flexi hair, bracelet. To solve the problem I followed advice given in this forum and some helped. (emptying cache, un-installing and re-installing SL, using the advanced menu -> Avatar - > Basic Female; also I unticked VBO in the advanced graphics menu. Using the basic female i have now re-couped, my initial shape, half my skin (no torso, legs or feet) and blue eyes. The remaining problem is that I am only half an av, and I can't change clothes, if I do it changes my av to black and then transparent. Can anybody help, please? I would very much appreciate. Thanks
