Ai.. that indeed much worse than my notecard. But now I'm affraid I'll find more missing than my notecard. I cleared cache and no luck.. hope LL liked my notecard and all the hard work I put in it

I made a notecard for myself with all the places that have nice Midnight Mania Boards and Lucky Chairs. Today I tried opening in and got the message it was missing from the database. Second Life: Notecard is missing from database. O.O What has happend here? *cries*

I use the following shopping procedure :matte-motes-big-grin: 1. If I need something I take a look at Marketplace 2. If I find something and that merchant has a store in world, I go there and buy it 3. If the product is cheaper on Marketplace or not available inworld, I buy it on Marketplace but I never purchase more than 1 product at a time. If I need several things at a time I buy them one by one instead of filling the cart. What the previous poster is saying isn't entirely true. A lot of merchants are still using the magic box and sometimes delivery will fail. So my advise is to use Marketplace as a catalogue and buy as many things as possible inworld

It happens sometimes. For me 9 out of 10 days it works perfectly and then it just doesn't. Seems to happen randomly.

I'm a very spiritual person, and sure.. one day this planet may not be here. But those who want to know about these things can use other sources than a Second Life forum. My experience is posting stuff like this either will get your humoristic replies (like the previous posters) or that you freak a large group of people active on second life out (see what happened with those crazies last year, giving away all their money or commit suicide). If the end is near.. wouldn't it be better people spent their time left happy? And let it hit them by surprise? Instead of making them fear every day? Maybe tomorrow you will walk under a bus.. because you were not paying attention but worrying about the end of days. Now wouldn't that be something? ROFL You will not often hear me say it but in this case: Ignorance is Bliss Let people worry about more evitable issues, like raising their kids to be respectful, caring adults who think about how we can keep this earth cleaner and healthier.

A lot of people who have a lot of L$ do this, using an non active Alt. Shop owners, people in de "entertainment" industry. So why not, sounds like a good idea if you have more than a few L$. Or have LL come with a different way to "store" your linden, with some extra security. What also bugs me.. .this fake login page seems to be in the air for weeks now. Or even months. As I said before, it would be so simple for Linden to post a warning on the Viewe log in screen. They are a quick as it gets when they think they have to block your account for some reason.. but with things like this.. NOTHING! Things like this are really bad for business. I've seen people loose entire sims, they've been building up for years due to this scam. Sure you could say they should have been more careful. But a mistake like this is easily made, especially if you get passed on links from people you have know for years and even may know RL Linden seems to be jumping on you as soon as they think you have done something wrong, then nothing is impossible.. but a simpel thing as warning people .. anyway you get my point. I think SL is a great game / medium and I do enjoy what Linden has made possible for us. Only thing I can't understand is how they keep investing in all sort of things, except for a good communication between provider and client.

But as you can read in her earlier replies she admits she logged in to a fake Marketplace page, because she got the link from her friend.

Seems a lot of people aren't reading this post and the answers very well and keep coming back to hackers. *sighs*

No Emmet, it's just a fake Marketplace page. The people who made it use hacked accounts to spam groups and friends with messages saying "I bought this great outfit for 1 linden" and then add a link. If you look closely you see that that link is different from the real Marketplace page. But the log in page looks exactely the same. So people who didn't check the difference between the correct link and the fake link think they are really logging in to the real Marketplace. So it's not as ingenious as you think it is. It's quite a simple scam, but because the link is spread by people who you know (who were hacked and abused to spam their friends) you are more tempted to click without checking. It's the lowest of the lowest form of phising.. not hacking! It's not hacking because in a way people like the poster "gave" her information. Hackers use programs and knowlegdge of break in to a server to obtain information

I just got a phising email from a bank (where I do not have an account), so it's a big problem in RL as well. Think only thing LL can do is warn people! Which they don't.. and it should be easy, just put a message on the SL log in screen making people aware of this phising. That's what the banks do!

Did you click on a link to the Marketplace, mentioned by one of your friends or in a group chat? Cause that's been going round in SL. If you click the link you go to what appears to be the SL Marketplace log in page. But it's actually a fake page and if you log in you give the people running it your account name and password. A lot of people's account have been comprimised the past few weeks. Lots of people were financially drained. Money and objects seems to be all they are after. and yes! Change your password! Even tho your account is empty now they might use to send those fake MP adressed to your friends!

Do you rent a parcel from someone? Or from LL? Guess if you rent from another Resident they can decide what they will allow (besides the TOS that applies to everyone).

Of course I tried a restart.

I lost voice, the Speak button doesn't light up. Yes I have voice enabled, yes the land is voice enabled, yes other sounds work. If I open Preferences I can change the output and input default but the test and volume slider keep saying "please wait". Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

You can buy several magic huds which are often used for RP (with really cool graphic effects) like fireballs and vortexes

Just hit the object return button and put your auto return on ... set it to 1 and everything she starts to rebuild and it's in your land she'll get it back. I also would contact the other neighbours, to see what they think about her land abuse
