  1. A twist on a 'bumper' might work for Rolig's suggestion there. Come within x meters and I go 'eeek' and jump on a stool. Must be something in the library
  2. Just in that last point. If I had the chance to make any script included in an item Copy, Mod and no transfer I would very happily. But it is not possible. Would be nice in terms of how an item shows up in inventory but its not possible with the granularity of current permissions system and adding a note in the listing to explain... well yes it is an option. Copy and Mod != open source. Another box to tick which == CMT isn't really useful. Unless I am missing something. On reviews in general, are comments on a review still allowed from people who never purchased a product? If so, why?
  3. Lion (and I mean purrrrrrrrrrr he is magnificent) would be better running..ok they are lazy so slothing free =^^=
  4. @Hunter Stern I disagree on principle. Or possible Occam.
  5. As most mesh hair looks like Barbie let Ken apply it with a trowel.. sticking to my little flexi 'tail (which I can wear under a helmet and looks fabulous) and has a teeny render hit looks like the right call. See you on the asphalt, Barbies.
  6. @Beq Janus remember, in SL no good deed goes unpunished... this is a great additional tool even as is so thankyou. I have a cleaver proof shirt somewhere just in case. @arton Rotaru "disillusioned" well not quite the right word. Shrug, just another chip in the fun part of making stuff. Maybe go back to scripting although I remember why I gave up that apart from personal satisfaction and the odd custom job. (I only asked about a change in behaviour as its always been an instant reaction to that warning to fix my mistake and never noticed it could be over ridden. Although sing is my weapon of choice for day to day piddling about, I use the LL viewer to upload and test mesh since the time years back when I realised the major diff between my LOD default of 2 and that of the official viewer. Done it that way ever since. Personally I reckoned all this set LOD to a zillion fell under the same [redact rude word] as 'clear cache to fix all known problems' and the time where the perceived wisdom was to pump up that other mesh rendering setting, the name of which I am happy to have forgotten)
  7. Is this new behaviour? Always seemed blocked to me but that might have changed and I am in the groove to correct on auto whenever I see that
  8. That (LOD info various stuff) tool alone is almost enough to make me change my main viewer. Almost. It is - wanted. And read the comments while installing - good grief (pronounced greef =^^=). Also nod to @Chaser Zaks. Nice to see actual source laid out in usable form.
  9. A little late but yes. No good deed goes unpunished. And i will be fooled again but hey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHhrZgojY1Q
  10. Post title : The No-Mod Rebuttal rebuttal rɪˈbʌtl/ noun noun: rebuttal; plural noun: rebuttals an instance of rebutting evidence or an accusation. synonyms: refutation, denial, disproving, counter-argument, countering, invalidation, negation, contradiction; counterstatement, surrejoinder, rebutter, surrebutter, replication; rareconfutation, disproval "a point-by-point rebuttal of the accusations" So sorry as a 1/0 coder as accused elsewhere.. Where is the accusation this is based on.
  11. The wording is a tad misleading, its actually for the preceding month period.
  12. Overthinking. Rename textures to be able to sort easily. Worry on UUID later. Unless you want to call by UUID of course. In which case you can even load desc or name with UUID and pull it that way.Face click is trivial. Lists start at zero index also trivial =:) Would give a more detailed response but stupid wiki giving stupid access errors so assuming someone dicking with it.
  13. Unless something else triggered the takedown, I really can't see any problem with those two images. And agree with @Chic Aeon on the counter file point. But to be honest I wanted to post this.. ’Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe: All mimsy were the borogoves, And the mome raths outgrabe. As we can do with a lot more mimsy and gimbling (never had the nerve to gyre) =^_^=
  14. @Winged Heron you can recreate yourself on other grids (doesn't matter which if its OS based) with the usual caveats. If you have made your shape from scratch then some viewers can export/import as an XML file which does a fairly good job of recreating (usually with a few cleanup tweaks) and if you made your skin its trivial. Same for other clothing assets, for standard avs if you have the original textures then its the same thing. I have a virtual travel kit which has my shape, custom skins, selection of eyes, accessories and a few basics for dressing etc. Couple of uploads and voila. Now hair is another issue as never quite managed to make any thats not poo so tend to run around bald until can find some =^^= Basically no, you cannot use your SL avatar but you can make a reasonable facsimile if you are the owner of the bits you want to copy over.
  15. As a certain someone (Hi HH!) responded over the way where you asked, "We earned it".
  16. Make the keywords used prominent and easily viewable (without having to go Grease Monkey route). As it *is* possible to see them with some effort anyway. Can see how a limit would be tricky so let the buyer decide they are fed up for themselves.
  17. Key phrase being '... agree on some open standards'. The companies named won't do that without someone cornering the market and everyone else dumbing down to accommodate. Take a wild guess what that would mean. Or rather 'who' has the most users and what their offerings currently run on. Licensing what you could 'take' with you is another interesting nightmare. Gravatar was interesting but died a death as no one found a way to monetise it, among other things. HyperGrid sort of works in a very limited way as is but its a tiny use case and bags of fun when grid owners fall out. Not a bad idea but I wouldn't want one. Same as I don't have just one email.
  18. This might be where to look http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/CHANGED_MEDIA
  19. Just to echo IslaGrace, noticed that some mesh items with mixed phys type (prim + convex hull) exhibited increased LI (ie a 3 piece item went from 3 to 8). Editting was hit and miss in fixing, neded rerez of fresh item. If you haven't had anything returned (thankfully I had spare) then worth checking anyway. Same goes for mixed mesh/prim stuff which would fit with general problem. Oddly, only one of two mainland parcels seem to have been nobbled... Edit - both main channel parcels, not RC, sorry, lack of coffee
  20. "... leave blank any questions you don’t wish to answer ". Nope, you can't. Participation declined for that, which is a shame as I am a big fan of libraries.
  21. Funny really. With the Blender beast I have gone from fear to hate to timidity to awe to swearing (ok thats still a part) to ennui to hate to awe to.... then I realised its a toolbox. Right now having a whale of a time painting textures in UV and model and.. Fun. Realised its a little like when I rode and had all kinds of tools but the only ones that mattered were the ones that fitted under the saddle. Which is where Aquila's tip fits wonderfully. To the point that I can now happily mix and match old school prims, dreaded sculpties and mesh in builds. Its fabulous. And I do it so wrong haha Best advice I ever got? Erm 'You can't get here from there. And my brother who lives there told me. Also Scrumpie'
  22. Not totally SL but still... compleat wiv bad spellsings
  23. How about an easy way to refer to how to use? A Manual of this instance. Perhaps : link to how your activity is monitored and by whom And a referral to how it relates to your current settings.
  24. Whoops I misread - now thats an offer I probably couldn't refuse - although my CC might explode after a month =^^=
