Pretty much the same as for your other vehicle request - make your own:) But for bikes you can't go wrong with heading over to KCP on Panhead and picking up the generous free box of bits and tracking down the early version of Karyn's basic chopper scripts. Had a lot of fun playing with those (and as I have no sense of balance, worked nicely in a trike too - whicjh is something you can also find regularly on MM boards)

Curiosity killed the cat? - Would I get in trouble? :P
mikka Luik replied to Ghost Warblood's topic in Second Life Viewer
Well, as its a bit of software that sits on your own machine and does stuff by mangling video calls, the results of which only you can see anyway, plus it doesn't seem to alter the viewer (unlike rolling your own for - reasons) who gives a - fig? Boris the dev seems harmless too. Bit like asking if I would get a warning for turning down the brightness on my monitor. -
Have to agree on this one. The Status thing - well fine, even did the subscribe thing, but have to admit no lead in, no calendar and the alert that there was going to be a roll arrived 10 minutes before the one that it had started. A little under 3 hours later, the all clear. Nice but... The lack of a calendar is - annoying. Whoever statuspage.io is, if the Lab are not getting this for free at the most they are being overcharged =^^=

Suggestions, Marketplace and Sim Fees
mikka Luik replied to Barta Lemton's topic in General Discussion Forum
not wading in to the MP battle but on your roleplay point - can rent a homestead for what 8k5 Lindens a week now? Thats roughly 34 bucks? And if any RP group is serious..... well its also 5k LI/Prims too. With a userbase thats what 20 times bigger than the alternatives? Plus a market of..well. So yes would love it cheaper but on those grounds - not too bad. -
The Future Of Mesh Sales (As Some Would Propose)
mikka Luik replied to Codex Alpha's topic in Merchants
As always, saved before edit. Interesting. -
More or less but would add using their creativity to push them to learn new skills. Without shedding what has been learned in the past. Even when pretending to throw it away. I don't hold with the doctrine of unlearning. Its a waste. And yes I am a heretic I mix prim, sculpyt, meshy, scripting, very basic texturing and swearing. 5 of the 6 I have had to learn. Only one was i born with. And if my box is hiding the ability to be worth that much or have 3 video wossnames..... I want its offspring. In an original prankster sense.

Resizing Script for Non-Linked Object
mikka Luik replied to Quinn Reinerman's topic in LSL Scripting
Never come across one 'in the wild' but any half decent mod one (check script library) should work as long as its duplicated across all the non linked objects and they all listen on the same channel and the comms are set up to cover distance between (in its most basic form). Nice change from having to make sure different objects only respond to their own -
Am I not allowed to put my items inworld cheaper than the mp price?
mikka Luik replied to lucagrabacr's topic in Merchants
Its at the bottom of the page : 'Anti-Competitive or Abusive Behavior. Examples include, but are not limited to: inflating prices on the SL Marketplace, in comparison to in-world or other e-commerce sites,' Back in the real world we got around having 'totes legit lowest price anywhere' for certain 'chains' by making sure there was enough of a tiny difference on what they stocked compared to any one else. And some of those differences were microscopic. -
Because I accidentally clicked "gift" Sums it up Having scripted a few charity donation boards with uber checks and trace.... And more than enough vendors.... And gift card, delivery, feedback cross grids..... No, in all my years have never found an llProtectFromIdiots( integer FACT ) plus Fact == FART

SL issues? Can't rezz, can't tp
mikka Luik replied to Sommerland Starostin's topic in General Discussion Forum
Via the IoT its being reported. Imagine, millions of networked thingies all with default passwords never changed. Who ever would have thought that wasn't an accident waiting to happen... All your toasters are belong to us. -
Reverse engineering a pos-rot correctly
mikka Luik replied to Beowulf Zessinthal's topic in LSL Scripting
Have to reply just because Gerbils are the second centre of the Universe (after cats of course) but as an attachment.. not sure if av as surrogate root prim does have an easy answer. Position I think would be simply reverse of Gerbil local pos? Rotations I leave to those I hold in awe who eat quats as snacks. -
Well technically you could tie the whole thing to a specific plastic natasha (aka 'a mesh body') and add a bone deformer type anim and a teeny body shape.. but does seem like a lot of fuss.

Rough guess? More than you have. (Took even less effort than you asking the creator)

Top of head, I think PRIM_POINT_LIGHT might need the other paramaters even though you are setting it to FALSE when switching off. Might explain why size changes ok but nothing in the following bits of the command list fire. Did you get an error about unknown parameters or format at all?

How to allow kids onto SL for education?
mikka Luik replied to Scalar Tardis's topic in Second Life Education and Nonprofits
Just picking up on your 'blank slate' bit, you would be in that position anyway. Although a cursory search throws up a myriad of resources already available for education uses, up to and including complete OARs full. Even some rather interesting military open sources terrains full. Not sure on your costs there either - are you pricing in terms of a full 'mainland' sim deal (as I have no idea about edu discounts)? Because the age range you are talking about would be a non starter anyway.
