  1. Ahh. Yes, there are more 1024 parcels than 512 parcels. As far as what is available at any given time, that is a different story.
  2. 512 size parcels will only ever have 512 house options (that's why they are called 512 houses). 1024 size houses are too big to fit within a 512 size parcel. And yes, the lanterns are scripted to turn on and off automatically with the region day cycle (custom day cycle or parcel environment settings won't change that).
  3. You are most welcome. Try one of those and see if they are more to your liking.
  4. You are in one of the older (2010) Linden homes. What you can do is abandon it... Then go back to the Linden Homes page and look under the Bellisseria dropdown. That will bring up the available options for the new Linden Homes themes.
  5. Linden Homes are essentially all the same size parcels (512 or 1024sqm), but you can try different houses within the theme on them (some house options are more spacious that others), but you cannot remove the house completely and use your own. The advantage is the house in a Linden Home does not count against your parcel LI. If what you want is a larger parcel you can opt to buy a parcel on the mainland. You won't get the free house or the nice decor that you find in Bellisseria, but there is also no covenant to follow so there is greater freedom. The other option is as you said, to rent a parcel somewhere but they you'll have to abide by the rules set out by the owner of the land or estate.
  6. Ah, I see what you meant. It may mean a bit more space, but it also might be a nice view, or be on the water, or have an unusual entry, be next to a stream, etc. For example:
  7. I didn't say 512 parcels have more space. They still technically only have 512sqm. A 512 house on 1024 parcel however gives more garden space because the house itself has a smaller footprint made to fit in a 512sqm parcel. But I may have alluded to giving some 512 parcels better locations on average as one of the ways we would offset the fact it is a smaller parcel.
  8. Remember that the entire purpose of the limit was so many people were repeatedly hitting the site it was crashing with too many simultaneous requests.
  9. Aoi Hanabatake(22,55,22) I see a house with 8m between parcels (which is usually standard in most themes) with an extra bit of space between the parcel line and the walls, the parcel raised up a bit with retaining walls topped with some nice greenery, walls between houses to obscure the view into the neighbors houses a bit. It's not the most unique spot, but it seems like a great location for someone interested in making their own Japanese style outdoor garden. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. It bares reminding that there are certain realities to Linden Homes that always need to be met. Fitting two dozen or so parcels in a region is one of them. One of the big desires we keep hearing is "water water water!" In order for that to be possible, we have to move parcels closer together to make room for waterways. We tried to offset that somewhat with walls and fences (something very befitting a Japanese based theme) and some screening foliage to try to give parcels at least some added privacy. In many cases we used the retaining walls to achieve some added height changes, something which also make the waterways possible. The reality is though, that for the most part in Sakura you will have neighbors and some of them will feel quite close. It is a Japanese theme after all. 😄 Houses in Japanese suburban areas are actually MUCH closer to one another than anything in Sakura. Building Linden Homes is a balancing act weighing one thing against another and offsetting negatives with positives. With Sakura we feel that we hit that balance about as close as we possibly could; more than with any other theme we have done. We work under the guideline of "equal but not identical" where no parcel has everything but no parcel has nothing either. There are no truly "bad" parcels. They are all good parcels in their own way, just some in different ways than others. A parcel may have a nice view, but it has neighbors close by. A parcel may feel a little hemmed in, but it has an added amount of privacy. A parcel may be 512sqm, but it is in really really nice location. It's all about finding a balance that checks off the most important boxes that matter to you and finding your place in that balance, which in a way is actually very Zen... which is also befitting a Japanese theme.
  11. It means Paradox, not Jerks. Not sure how it got translated to that, but no. It is "Paradox"
  12. Trees along the mainland roads have been there since 2010. Moles cannot work on them unless the request comes through the Lab. So making a ticket is what you have to do, keeping in mind those requests are generally not granted since the trees were there when you bought the land. So if you want to make a request such as this, ask very nicely and convince the Lindens to want to make the change. Maybe they would have been more inclined if the road looked nice and didn't stick out so far into the Linden road. But whoever told you if your request is denied the thing to do is make a big stink in the public forums and argue with people gave you very very very very bad advice. It doesn't help your cause, just the opposite in fact. 🙁
  13. Quartz is looking to implement a fix. The house controller looks to see if the land is higher than the water to decide if the parcel is "on land" or "on water" (then does another check to detect if it is on open water or attached to a pier IIFC), but it was looking at the position of the controller rather than the center of the parcel. And yes, we understand this is upsetting for everyone trying to get the coveted on land parcels right next to the surfing beach in Treeowatoor.
  14. This ^^^^^^^^. Everything is a balancing act and it is all interconnected. More water = less houses = less self sustainability of that region. More rails = more LI = Less houses or less deco. Less deco = less privacy. More trees = less fill. More houses = less space and less LI. Less houses = less potential revenue and more cost. Every region has a cost and needs to be offset by the revenue generated by occupied homes. That's why suggestions of things like: 4 lane highways with interchanges taking up half of each region, desert themes with large empty open spaces between houses, or tens and tens of regions of open water homesteads are always non-starters. They are all nice ideas in theory and we would love to be able to do all those things, but the benefits in terms of revenue generated always has to be taken into consideration because nothing is free. Finding that balance and trying to hit that sweet spot is literally what we do every day... from the largest of large scale to the tiny details that largely go unnoticed but matter... from where whole themes and regions can go on the world map, to how much greenery we can add around theme and still come in under our LI budget, to which plantings to choose from in our tool kit that compliment one another and not clash, to which particular tree best fits between two particular houses. That's our job, and we have a whole team of people who do it all day every day to the best of our ability.
  15. FWIW.... Moving whole continents isn't a thing. If it were there wouldn't have been a need to build Bellisseria in order to connect them. Regions can be moved, but moving several hundred regions would be a whole other animal. It's the difference between mowing your neighbor's lawn and mowing ALL your neighbors' lawns. Edit: ^^^^^actual picture of Derrick when I asked him^^^^^
  16. The impossible nature of building a railroad through low sandy beachfronts that would still be high enough to cross innumerable waterways without people complaining their boat can't get under the bridges or feeling like a roller coaster is why there is no railway line from the Logs to the Chalets that pass through the Stilts.
  17. Everything still needs to be final checked, cleaned up and added to the website before releases can actually happen, like with any release.
  18. The demo regions should still be open was my only point.
  19. Hmmm... where have I seen Obasan Ohayo and Tsuki no Mogura before... hmmmm...
  20. Some things you just have to experience in person
  21. "Bigger is always better" is a very western concept 😉
  22. All Linden Homes are part of the Bellisseria continent and in the Linden Homes estate rather than mainland. Some (like Fantasy) could technically be classified as a subcontinent.
  23. That is correct. If a parcel does not have enough LI to support the object being rezzed, it simply doesn't allow that object to be rezzed. It doesn't return other random objects. The only time I can think of where that does happen is when someone has multiple parcels that share their LI/prim allowance with more objects on one parcel than that parcel alone can support. They change ownership of one of the parcels by deeded it to another group or selling it back to themselves (taking away the ability to share LI) and that parcel is suddenly over its LI limit, causing some items to return to their owner seemingly at random. But that isn't a concern in Linden Homes since parcels there are 1 to an account and cannot be deeded to a group and therefore cannot share LI.
