  1. I  DL'ed  the  SL   viewer, but it lagged so badly it was just impossible.  However i love  the  pic feed.

Today  I   DL'ed   the  Firestorm Viewer however there was not an option to post to my  SL pic feed only to  Flickr.

Is there a way  to post these pics I am taking to the SL Profile pic feed  that i  take on Firestorm rather then  to flickr???

    Thanks,

    Angel

  2. I think it  falls under one if  not  both of these  Community Standards rules.

I do think the  OP was treated poorly and the  person that replied  broke these...

    Intolerance

Combating intolerance is a cornerstone of Second Life's Community Standards. Actions that marginalize, belittle, or defame individuals or groups inhibit the satisfying exchange of ideas and diminish the Second Life community as a whole. The use of derogatory or demeaning language or images in reference to another Resident's race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or sexual orientation is never allowed in Second Life.

    Harassment

Given the myriad capabilities of Second Life, harassment can take many forms. Communicating or behaving in a manner which is offensively coarse, intimidating or threatening, constitutes unwelcome sexual advances or requests for sexual favors, or is otherwise likely to cause annoyance or alarm is Harassment.

  3. As I  understand  it is against Community  standards

Possibly  of  the "picards" rules also  for  being nice in the  forums..  but I am not sure that rule applies to  "The Picards" umm  apparently  not  since it is there.. laffs

I think  people have to  report it  in order for it to be removed.

I did  read it an I  felt sorry for the OP to  be treated like that..  but "The Pickards and  their  associates"  have their own  rules we live  by  :smileywink:

  4. I never  see them  around now days.  well  a  while ago ( as in a  few years back) I  did  see  Phillip  standing in one place for  several hours.   :smileysad:

Used to tho they were all over the  grid esp. the  first  year or so after I joined SL.... it was really nice  loads of  fun and  they were very  connected to  the residents back then.   :smileyhappy:

  5. I have been here for years now I think  5  or 6 ... In the  past it was better  but there  was under 10K residents here.  As the community has grown  I am sure it  takes longer to respond to things.  As I have  understood it is on a first come  first serve basis.  I will say this for the  few tickets I have turned in the  customer  service was good.. it was answered in a timely manner and on one issue  they really  really  really worked hard at  resolving it.  So all I  have to say is they are  doing a  good  job     from my perspective and I am  sure as time  goes on   even  that will get better.  I know I had a problem   last week so I went to the section called "Answer" did a little research and was able to resolve  my problem  there without a ticket even.  Which   for me  was good thing.  I  am hoping as time  goes by more people will  use the  different tools  they have made available such as that.  If I can ever  help you let me know!!

  6. I agree with you in part .....you  paid for it  do as  you want with it.  However that can only  happen on  no copy  items possibly  even no mod.  cause  some are total theifs in SL  on content.   Unfortunately  this is  common place in SL  stealing others work  changing something on it and reselling it as their own.

You  really  can only   focus on purchasing items that  are transferable and if  enough  residents do that  the creators will notice lack of sales.     As  far as what Dres said  hmmmm..  when they  sell  an item  with  full perms even if it is requested not to  share these  times  with other it  does happen all the time  and I know is wrong however I know does happen. That  doesn't make it  right however, that is    just a cold hard fact.    Personally  if it was me  I would  be  hesitant to  sell  anything with  full perms. So if they  do they  risk it and thats life in SL.

Anyways  that  my  thought on the issue.. and yes I think  a lot  should at the least be transferable  my  inventory is over  70 K  and I  would like to share a lot in it with  new  residents till they get their feet on the  ground.  A lot of things I use one time only  esp.  gowns and new residents mite like them.

  7. I have been a  member   since  2005.. Back  then  we had to pay to play. So I did and I  still am all these years later.  I remember when they opened the  site to non pay residents.  Griefing became out of site problem really  really bad and  I never saw so  so many (I do not know what  word is acceptable in PG  area)  but the  guys were all dressed as their private  parts or  wearing one and  chasing  people with it.   There  were many many many more problems  that started when   LL opened it  up for all.   99.9% of the time the problems were  from residents without a paid  account.  If you  do  not pay  to play  you are not entitled to a lot of their services.. makes since to me

Personally I will always believe  pay to play and   then  you get   good  customer service from the  lab.. (personally I have never had a problem with  customer service .. I may  not like the response  but it was timely and never a huge waiting issue overall  most were nice)..  that's how it used to be  and could be once again for every  resident in SLIt seems to me  that  when the flood  gates were open  to free accounts unlimited  alts etc etc  things went to  heck in Sl ...

After all  it is less  then  10.00 a month to play.. miss  a  lunch out or skip a  grandee latte  or somethingThe  added revenue to LL    would actually allow  them to  hire more employees or maybe invest in  some decent hardware/software  or something.   I know people will hate my opinion  but after all it is mine to have  and I know I am  right ..  :smileywink:

    laffs

  8. I think that LL/SL needs to make the poster/resident clear that when they post a question they need to come back and click on what was a result that they agree with or helped resolve their issue. In the meantime someone needs to clean them up after say a week or so..... so the pages do not run this high. Often times by the questions not being marked as resolved it leads people to ask them once again and that they were given improper answers on the ones already posted. Personally I thought LL had a person such as the Amanda Linden who i think is the manager checking the answers and marking them off if they were correct answers. Losing control of this part of the forum makes no since to me and it appears this is not being regulated with the same "excitement" of modding post are in the rest of the forum. After all the new residents need answers not thinking that there are 16 pages of incorrect answers when there is not.

  9. Hi Subenya,

Log into your  dashboard  then click account.. then click  contact information  and  change email addy  and use your account password and  save changes.

If this does not work  submit a  ticket.

    Good Luck!!!  :smileyhappy:

  10. Why  do we have  16  pages of  "questions in answer" when so many are    answered  correctly and are  actually  quoting SL/LL  text on  how to do or  fix?

Hmm this  could be  technical  or possibly  community  or  maybe even everything  else... this is confusing also..sighs

  11. aww you made me  blush...  but I  do like your  flowers  they are well put and so much more expressive then mine.  I  would  have  given you a  kudo myself  however we do not get to here...  You are a fantastic  writer and I totally respect what  you wrote here in this   thread.  :smileyhappy:

What I saw, and from the replies of others I was not alone, was an air of superiority expressed not through clear statements of fact and jovial banter, but with a tinge of entitlement and disrespect for the views of others. As much as this new PIC Prime Directive is about ensuring an equal and beneficial forum for all to participate, expressions of overt superiority run against that goal.

I do believe that no person or participant here should be above or below any other (with the obvious exception of the Mods of course), but in order to ensure that it is promoted properly and with the best hopes of success, the manner in which the promoters present themselves must be extra clean and extra clear in exemplifying that sentiment. Therefore I call on you again, as one of the visible leaders in this stated drive to provide balance and fairness to all, that you carefully re-examine your means of posting replies ... and perhaps listen to myself and others when we share what to us are valid concerns and observations.

    Nods my head in agreement

What Darrius said and  wrote  better then I ever  can or  could write :smileyvery-happy:
