  1. Looking for a region where you can bring up all those wonderful herds of breedable horses, rabbits, meeroos or whatever wonderful creature you wanted to raise without annoying your neighbours with issues of lag,,, where the rolling grassland is ideal for your livestock...where a handy linden road allows you to transport in all those breedable accessories and feed you need to support your animals... The look no further TEFNUT is the place for you !!! A full region ( except for the aforementioned highway of course ) Beautiful grassland ideal for those special horses or whatever that you want to raise in SL. Of course you could do other stuff there - like live in an old firestation - like myself and my girlfriend do - or build space stations and fly your vehicles - like I do - or run a shop like my gf does... or you could...yes well, theres plenty of anims available for other stuff too ;) Come have a look its a bargain - but we are open to SENSIBLE offers. Heres a slurl which my gf assures me will get you there - if it doesnt blame her :D http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Tefnut/115/121/60 Any enquiries contact me Maelstrom Janus or her Cully Andel in world.
  2. Having said that who needs ban lines...nowadays you dont even have to be crossing a sim boundary to crash...enter a full parcel or even simply enter a different parcel in a vehicle and you stand a higher chance of being crashed out than at most times in the last four years.....
  3. Security orbs are a legitimised griefing tool no more or less...they bend sl rules and allow the owner to get away with something they'd be open to being reported for if they did it anywhere else in sl... If you dont want people on your land ask em to leave - if they dont leave ban 'em..the tools are there without disrupting everyone. If someone is on your land when youre not there what does it matter - providing they dont leave a mass of clutter. If they do return their items a piece at a time and then ban em. They wont do it again.
  4. Perhaps its all geared to making sl so much more suitable for the 'undead' - vampires seem to be one of the few groups sl are actually pandering to at the moment....
  5. In over four years in SL I cant remember the service being as poor as it is at them moment, loss of tp, crashes, scripts and huds going out of control...talk about giving power to companies to enforce their tos, its about time something gave fee paying consumers more rights to expect a service which does what its supposed to....
  6. As a side note it always seems to me that law in the US is more about protecting the big companies rather than the man in the street...its even more promounced than it is here in the uk - and its bad enough here.
  7. The buggers who need hitting with the law hard are those who spread trojancs viruses etc etc and make life miserable for those who contract them... As for tos its time there was a push on insisting all companies made their terms of service sensible , legible, fair and less than a volume of war an peace to read.
  8. And as the CEO who is in charge rushed to reply he evidently does ?? :matte-motes-big-grin-wink:
  9. I have one question .... what's this thread about ?? If I had an open letter like that Id have thrown it in the bin... With all the things that need to be sorted out which affect the whole of the sl userbase I'd at least suggest some clarity when complaining to a company.

  11. Well lLindens love sucking my pay pal account dry.....
  12. SL can hardly break its own rules on copyright by promoting groups based on film or tv shows.....
  13. The only good thing to come out of getting ready for mesh was 64 m prims...of course I wish lindens had put the effort into giving us 100 m prims and 99% hollowing far more useful to my builds than something I cant even work on inworld... if the idea is to get folk inworld then having them use a system of software that can't be used inworld to create seems a bit of a retrograde step.... if lindens want to provide us with some inworld software to create meshe objects plus a decent tutorial instead of a patronising warning about copyright infringement great... In the menatime do the majority of sl users a favour and get working on the existing inworld building system !!
  14. Mesh has been introduced at the expense of improvement to the inworld building system and so far I see its impact on sl has minimal....you can blah on about it as much as you like it was introduced to satisfy the demands of a bunch of techs...try looking round and listening to your group chat...
  15. ...And Im sure that cost would soon be passed on to sl users.... No thanks !!
  16. I argued that mesh would remove the onus from Lindens to provide building tools and cause a stagnation of the inworld building system... the entire idea of mesh was introduced to placate a group of elitist technophiles. Ive seen very few mesh items and discovered that clothing made from mesh is useless because it cannot be made to fit an avatar... We heard the 'mesh heads' going on about how wonderful it was...just the same as some while back we heard lindens rave about moving avvy's beween virtual worlds another marvel which mysteriously vanished - presumably because lindens realised that being able to take your content from sl to other worlds might actual encourage people to move.... Everyone raving about meshes should have put their energy in getting lindens into improving and upgrading the inworld building system... although that would have improved building for the hoi paloy rather than giving more to a technical elite....
  17. Instead of trying to attract new users how about doing something to hold on to loyal long term customers.... - Increase free land allowances - Decrease tiers - Set payments in our own currencies via paypal. - More Inworld building tools rather than expecting people to build out of world use overly complex mesh creation software. How are you going to attract more people and expect them to spend more time here if theyre out of world working on mesh software ?? Prioritise tackling the major problems in world. The great Philip promised one of the greatest problems to SL explorers ( boundary crossing crashes would be rectified by last december) - he left before that deadline came and passed without resolution, flickering textures, tp crashes, group chat failures. Something which actually appeals to hardcore use who keep sl going via membership and tier payments would be useful too, Im sick of seeing a load of baubles aimed at attracting newcomers while we get nothing which is why myself and my partner are currently trying to sell our land , reduce our tier and lose one of our membership payments.
  18. By the way ViNtner its all very well calling people whingers and then going on to stab at large groups of people in sl who dont keep you happy.... incidentally if SL performance is so good how come you need to complain about people generating lag in SL ??
  19. We'll never get a true improved deal for long term members because for everyone who puts forward an argument that would benefit anyone who spends the long term in sl theres some idiot who cant do anything better than shout whinger or blab out total inaccuracies about lindens performance ...
  20. In my four years the number of crashes is at its worst, border crossing is far from satisfactory, each new viewer adds more problems to textures. Do you actually bother trying to move around sl Vintner ?? Something tells me you rarely use the tp or move between regions. Is your avvy a tortoise or the proverbial ostrich forever burying its head in the sand ?
  21. Crashing become less frequent youre joking ....... Tako I may be a whiner but youre a jumped up pain in the backside like most kids now......
  22. If youre happy with the service youre getting good luck to you. Me I believe in the old addage the customer is always right a bit dated I know. With Lindens however I always come away with the feeling ' youre lucky to be in sl' rather than 'we're glad to have you as a customer'.... Incidentally you rubbished the posts of anyone critical of Lindens...and in a coarse and vulgar way. Oh and I dont like being patronised either...
  23. No Lellani I dont want to know you at all because youre one of those people whos there brown nosing pointlessly and putting down people in a rather coarse manner who are at least arguing for a better deal for the membership.....
  24. Problems will get fixed with time eh ? How long a time ? Who's still crashing at sim boundaries ? I know I am...thats been going on for at least the 4 years Ive been here...oh and how about assorted texture flickers and problems.....those have been around at least four years too. 'The great philip' promised boundary crashes would be fixed by December -last year- of course he packed in being CEO before the December deadline came and went..and guess what we still have boundary crashes .... I can live with these irritations however. What I cant stomach however is Lindens trying to attract new premium members with usless little titbits while long standing loyal members get nothing.... Lets face it Lindens have made it clear that they have little regard for their premium membership anyway. I notice however that a long last the useless questionairres which we used to get on log in have finally dried up. As far as I can see the views expressed were ignored - for years.
  25. Lellani I dont know about 'crapping my pants' as you so 'eloquently' put it - your posts simply made me sick.......
