  1.  Group land is subdivided and leased to afford protected space on all sides by either 8 meter easements, restricted skybox use parcels or Linden  road.

I'm not sure on what rules LL has set-out for Belli.

The region covenant states; *Skyboxes, platforms or other floating objects are only allowed above 2000m to keep the skies clear of physical/visual obstructions and casting ground shadows

  3. ahhh, the dynamic and deep pocketed realty duo return to bid big on two Bay City parcels, Morton and Falconmoon. Capitalism at its best.

And yet an even bigger bid on a parcel located in the "big bang" region where this virtual world supposedly started, Da Boom L$175m2. Which I can only assume was purchased with a historical and altruistic mind bent. One should take the owner's SL historical tour via the Prim Museum http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Ritch/15/226/31

  4. The parcel next to this one in Eos has always intrigued me. Well specifically the owner. They own numerous Horizons parcels which appear to have been won at the original Horizons auctions, but I never see them build on them. I am lucky to own one that sits adjacent to one of theirs'. A wonderful neighbor on mainland. 😉

tried to make a reasoned comment to this, with an example from recent news items in UK media - only to find that my reply was listed as "hidden" and "must be approved". I think I will keep quiet. I always end up doing that. We are, after all, living in an increasingly authoritarian world.

    Be well and stay strong.

y'all going crazy in the UK. I wish you luck

When LL decides mainland is too big, too empty and too much of a drain, they WILL start eliminating sims, and too bad for that person who has one parcel on an otherwise empty sim.

I have never seen LL claim eminent domain. There are some old blighted micro parcels screwing up Linden protected right of ways etc that havent been used for close to two decades. But still LL honors those residents' land. Although I don't venture outside two mainland continents.

Just had another thought, land flippers will love it too, because as mainland sims convert to mainland 2.0, original mainland will increase in value as it becomes more scarce. There will always be people wanting the total freedom of mainland, so it will never be entirely converted to mainland 2.0, and land flippers will always exist and flourish

I like the idea, and sounds like a fun job at Linden Labs. I will be watching for any empty regions being claimed by Guy Linden. And immediately buy any abandoned or desolate land adjoining the future Belli-Lite community

Be nice if the individual who owns the other half or so of the region, part of the Muirhead complex, would buy it. They do really nice, interesting projects in several different regions. I don't think this auction offers enough water access though.

    annnnnnnndddd  they won. Excellent

https://places.secondlife.com/parcels/291521/whinlatter-128-78-moderate-32928m looks pretty interesting. Mature Sansara half-region with a long roadside and some deep water on the other side (steep, not beach) in a pretty pleasant-lookiing area. Not ideal for subdividing to resell, but could be a pretty interesting site for an ambitious build. No bids yet, closes Thursday.
