HAHA! I wonder if it was the dungeon under Neva's Naughtys. Not sure if that shop was still around in 2009, but the dungeon orgy room was a huge lol. I hung out in a corner watching the entertainment. One dude was on a pose ball in an inner tube happily humping away at the air. The floor looked very sticky so I kept my shoes (and all else) on. Good times.

Venus rezzed on Feb 18 2007 and she's my primary avie. I have an alt I created for a property group who never gets inworld (poor thing). I recall reading an article in late 2006 about SecondLife. It piqued my interest but a couple of months passed before I logged in. My original computer was not capable of representing the inworld environment without waiting many minutes for things to rez. Still, I figured everyone had the same experience and I was curious enough to stick it out (through several more computers) and I'm happy I did so. I've met a handful of wonderful people I happily call 'friend'. What more could one ask of a world where people can so easily come and go?

There is no minimum wage in SL and payment runs the gamut from items (clothing, etc) to lindens. Why not go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed. If you're interested in being a CSR, you might chat with some already doing the job to get an idea of the requirements.

Since you use FS, check Preferences > Chat > Typing and make sure the boxes at the bottom of the box are ticked. I just tested the shout and whisper and they work.

Are you 'adding' your clothes, not 'wearing' them? Sounds like you may be trying to wear and that would detach something else you have attached to the same spot.

I agree with the above post. Detach everything or do a Character test and start fresh. Any demo mesh body will have a skin that may not be your skin of choice. You will need to get appliers for the body and any parts you have (feet, hands, head) from your preferred skin maker. Make sure your inventory reloads completely before you try switching things around. Go to a quiet place like Hatton and just wait until everything has loaded. THEN start again. Good luck!

When I click the bot in your office to get a list of current open land, the list she gives me is from 2015. I was ejected three times looking on that list. You might want to update it or remove the bot.

Welcome to SL! One of the options on your lower toolbar is 'camera controls'. If you click on that, you will have a small box open on your viewer where you can click which direction you wish your camera to face (avie back, avie front, avie shoulder). The easier way is to learn to cam around to the front of your avie to see it from the front. "keeps going on her own" sounds like you are experiencing some lag. Take a look at this: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Lag Since you are new, I suggest that you search on 'freebies' and you will find many places that offer free everything until you get some experience under your belt. There is no rush to spend lindens. You can change clothes safely anywhere in SL. If you want some privacy, you can look on the grid map for a place where you do not see any green dots (avatars), go there, and change.

I, for one, am not offended by the word 'discuss'. It's just a word and if it injured my sensibilities, I'd ignore it. I agree that this forum has been watered down so much so that it's wearing to seek out the few mildly interesting or raucously so posts with which to engage or even read in amusement. Provocative posts are wonderful. Polarizing ones, even more so. GD was supposed to be a 'dumping' place for discussion on both SL and RL topics but awhile back it seems someone removed the reference to 'real'. Bah.

As you can see from the replies, what a manager does really depends upon the requirements of the club and club owner. If you are interested in working at a specific club, your best bet is to inquire about an application. Good clubs will have applications that describe the requirements of all roles in a club.
