  1. Who could resist such a sweet-talkin' guy.  Of course Bebe will rule in your favor and explain (gently, patiently) to her friends that you're not the dude they think you are.  My advice is to throw a party and invite Bebe and her friends.  That hot tub in the snow would be a good gathering place (clothing optional?--maybe not this party).  Some good food, drink and conversation might do the trick as it worked on Bebe, eh?

P.S. Don't ask why I know about that hot tub. |:

  2. The only items I've ever boxed are textures and photos.  Since 2013, I have also given each item purchased (at the folder level) a MMM YYYY tagged at the end.  Every six months or so I will sort through inventory and look at those things that are oldest and determine if I want to save or purge.  If I haven't used or worn it in 'awhile', it is ripe for purging.  My avie will soon be 11 years in SL and I have under 40K in inventory.  Happy sorting!

i noticed that 2nd life just crashed on me now cant login does anyone else have this issue

Check the Grid Status page on your Dashboard first to see if it's a problem that's being addressed.  Many times it's just a temporary hiccup on your side.

I state the same thing and I know the clubs he means. Ambrosia most probable oen of there's. Sadly I tried them out and left. I foudn it unprofessional, and the over talking making things up to fill in voice time was ridiculous and annoying. I mix live. I mix nonstop, I have real life experience to offer and while i great people I do so spanned out in a lum sum and then mix, make needed announcements. Voice is a requirement to be a good DJ, there is no doubt in that. Yet over doing it non stop is distracting and not entertainment. IF you are interrupting every song to speak, you are not mixing or entertaining.

I have t cue songs, tkae reuests, fit them in a proper mix, prep prizes. What I did do is create a scripting that links my Jar request system to my real DJ equipment, so it will actually pre search for the various versions of a song to match my current BPM and auto highlight so i can fast drop into my on the fly list. that saves some time. But over speaking is not always time warranted with so much going on at once behind the scenes.

I realize that talking over tracks isn't everyone's cuppa tea which is why it's so awesome that SL has such a variety of clubs.  There is literally something for everyone.  If I go to a club and dislike what I hear, I leave.  If I like it, I may remain awhile.  There is no right way of doing things.  Yes, the club is Ambrosia and it has been in SL since 2006. That is a record few clubs have.  I wish all the DJ-aspirants good luck!

  5. If you've tried Firestorm Support group inworld and their help hasn't worked, then I have nothing to add.  I'm sure someone linked their page of step-by-step instructions:  http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_voice

Anyway, I remember when voice was rolled out in 2007.  It was a sim-by--sim thing and the first places to go 'live' were the info hubs.  A huge group gathered there to listen and speak.  I sat with my friend waiting to hear the voice of our boss at the time who we knew to be a brash, direct person by her texts.  Her voice did not disappoint.  Sure, there were people who did not want SL to 'go voice' EVER but, over time, it's become a choice (as with so much in this world).  So those who wish to voice, do.  Those who do not, don't.  No.big.deal.

  6. Welcome to SL!  Sometimes SL is unavailable because of issues with the grid (the world we inhabit).  You can check for the Grid Status on your Dashboard page found at secondlife.com.  Other times, a sim may be down and you cannot TP to it. Give it 10 minutes and try again.  Other problems might be related to your side.  The point is, these things happen from time to time but not often for most people, I expect, or they would not continue logging in.  You can always check with the support staff if you are having a problem that won't go away.

ETA:  Rolling restarts do have a schedule.  Again, check your Dashboard.

hey can some one get with me in world to teach me how to DJ im really interested in attempting it

Best visit clubs where you might like to work and chat with the DJs (when they're not actively streaming).  There used to be a couple of places offering classes in SL so you could check search for them.  Mastering the mechanics is not difficult, depending on the software you choose and the style of DJ you aspire to be.  Mastering the 'banter' with patrons takes some practice and there is no class for that but your personality.  Good luck!

Since I posted this, I started DJing in February of 2017.  I use SAM to broadcast my music.  Still learning the ropes on what it takes to be a really great DJ.  I'll get there though.  Do any of you DJ's ever have a problem with studdering or trying to come up with what to say or forgetting to say things while talking on the air?

I DJ'ed in SL for just over 7 years for a very popular club.  One of the requirements at that club was the owner wanted DJs to talk. A lot.  This meant even talking over the tunes.  I never ran out of things to chat about because, generally, the patrons gave me material.  It takes a bit of practice and I wasn't so chatty at the start (2007) but, with practice, you'll get more comfortable.

Just because you got your hand slapped for spamming your "look at me" Sansar crap over here because no one will ever see you on Sansar boards does not mean your spiteful attitude is welcome.  You are an old has-been as far as this forum is concerned.  You are out of style now and you know it.  Go peddle your arrogant, elitist condescension somewhere else.

    (Better?)

[ETA ... and probably prove the "pablum " accusation ..]
I hope you understand it was meant to be a joke.  I value your opinions, Venus.  Even when they are different than mine.

Oh that Sansar thread - yeah, it was moved and cool for that.  I agree that you've gotta take it if you're gonna hash it out.  *flexes*  Thanks for the lolz.

Jut heard ignorant TV commentators tsk--tsking that the  flooding is due to poor urban planning. Like anyone could've planned for 50 inches of water within a few days.

Other more ignorant ones criitiiicizing the lack of evacuation.

The important thing is the low death rate,  and staying in place has done that so far. Running  out of gas in a huge traffic jam would not have been preferable.

I do hope the death/injury rate is low once the water drains.  I'm heartened by the images of strangers helping strangers (and their pets!).

I hope that local/state authorities perform a post mortem that includes the way the Houston area has grown so rapidly the past few decades with few/lax regs on building and paving over grasslands.  They may never see another storm like this in their lifetimes but someone will especially since global warming is increasing the severity of all sorts of natural calamities.

It was either Mesh Body Addicts or Friends of Maitreya Lara.  One of the really chatty ones :)

If you have a mesh or bento head, make sure you join the requisite group (e.g., Catwa, Genesis, LeLutka) to get tips and the latest news and notices.  These groups can be very helpful with navigating the HUDs and achieving the look you want.  As with all things, demo first :)

I believe LeLutka has some bento animated hair as well but again, they wont be on MP to find them.  I heard it talked about in a fashion group but have yet top go see what is out.

I only dabble in fashion.  I'm sure @Marianne Little, @Chic Aeon or @Venus Petrov could tell us more.

Indeed, LeLutka has quite a few hairstyles under their ''Swish" label that move. As with all things, demo first :)  What I see more hair designers doing these days is incorporating a stylist HUD to enable you to change the look of the hairstyle.  Truth has several such styles and Mina has started to use them, too.  Happy hunting!

I've tried the usual tricks, clearing cache, newer FS version, adjusting various settings, etc.  But nothing changes it......and I know at least a few others are having the same problems, so wondering how widespread this is and if LL is actually doing anything about it.  This started oh a few months ago or so and continues in force.  God forbid I go to a sim with more than a few people in it......if so, lag gets ridiculous in fairly short order, often to the point where nothing less than forcibly closing SL (thru task manager) and restarting will "fix" it.   wtfo?   Anyone else having this problem lately?  Didn't used to be like this except maybe if you were at a place just packed with people.

You've been given some great options in other responses here.  Try some!  Since you use FS, you can contact their inworld support group for other suggestions.  Here's some info from their wiki:  http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/lag

I haven't experienced crashes or lag as you have. Sometimes you may have to adjust a setting or two if you land in a new environment.  Good luck!

I was going to post this down in fashion but saw in one thread to post in Your Avatar instead for clothing questions.  I am trying to find a sleeveless hoodie that has the hood up.  I saw someone in Muddy's one night with one on but couldn't catch the name fast enough to IM them and ask where it came from.  I've tried ever combination in Marketplace I can think of to find something close.  Few men's hoodie's come with the hood up much less are sleeveless.  If anyone has an idea or can point me in the right direction I'd greatly appreciate it.  Thanks!

You can still inspect clothing items on avies to find out where they are from.  Just FYI.
