One bit of advice...

 

If you don't have one already, ask for a SpaceNavigator.

 

Or, since you're the boss, look for one on someone's desk and go "I'm the boss! Mine! Woohoo!" and grab it.

 

A lot of your customers swear by them, and they make it a lot easier to use SL once you get used to the interface.
