  1. HELL YEAH! I'll hire you! You seem like you know your way around the grid, all proffessional and dedicated, and mhm loyal! I'll give you a full time position if you find your way back here to the thread
  2. Concerning 1-star-reviews.. I personally cannot complain, LL has removed all 1-star reviews I have had so far (a lot .. a hell lot .. ) Most were because of non-deliveries, which I flagged as spam - some were just due to user errors or impossible customers afterall, which I have flagged as flaming/hate speech. The really bitchy ones are the 2 star reviews, they don't get deleted that easy, grr..I swear, people that leave them are well aware of that... well so are some more now lol. My personal wish would be to get rid of the whole review system, since there are too many new and/or stupid customers arounds, yes I've said it! Maybe there would be more time to concentrate on real abuse reports when it comes to copybotting or other real heavy stuff.
  3. You can also leave a 1 star review complaining that the item hasn't been delivered!
  4. hm.. unless you have made an agreement, i think you are wrong assuming that anyone will go out of their ways to promote your store (or any store).. even if, i personally find your store hard to promote since there is no theme or line or brand name as such, also i honestly don't think an event now and then (where some host c/p some sort of promotion) will increase your sales. imo you should just keep on listing your items on the marketplace, decrease your costs by cancelling in world store spaces, it is just so hard to cover the costs AND make a profit with 10-50L items.
  5. Absolutely wrong request IMO .. I would go for *NO power to customers* meaning NO rating system at all. A merchant should be able to present their good without any third party 'opinion'..
  6. well there is no cap on stupidity .. why should there be a cap on group membership fees ?
  7. if we would get to rate the 'idiot customer' .. i would have to quit my rl job ;p
  8. maybe because a lot of people do it.. even tho there is a comission fee
  9. of course it is your responsibility to protect your creations. if you cannot handle selling full perm in sl, which means that you may... or probably will have to take legal action.. just don't do it. either you take the risk, makin a few lindens more selling it full perm, or you don't ... if you do .. just do it but then also let it go once it sold.. don't drive yourself crazy trying to follow the steps of people and alts that have bought it... you will live a whole lot longer.. if you can't handle it and you don't have legal insurance. just don't sell it full perm
  10. my expirience is about flagging .. reviews ;p bottom line .. depends on who is on shift and how or with whom he/she slept (with) last night .. had enough coffee yet? may be bad/good for us.. so... i've flagged bad reviews before.. they magically went away. most of the time.. some didn't, sooo i filed tickets saying you know .. user error .. or just plain mistake .. tried to convince him/her to delete sine 'non-delivery-1-star-reviews' well most of the times it worked, sometimes i got the tight ''can't delete since not against tos'' answers. (always imagined 'her' being in 'a mood' today lol) i strongly believe that some flags just get waved through withoug being 'investigated' .. and i understand lol... it happens ... i am no different at work.. are you?
  11. dude.. take matters in your own hand. didn't find your stuff on the marketplace for one. not sure bout in world search but honestly .. if your stuff was worth buying, you wouldn't worry to much about it..well IMO
  12. hey all.. nothing currently being up but wondering in general.. what do you think of..... / do you sell full perm stuff with.... one avatar licenses? does it make a difference if stated in the listing in the first place or the seller telling you after purchasing? do you practise it with your full perm items and do you respect it as a customer?
  13. hi ahimsa let me c/p you this part from sl wiki - destination guide /showcase: How do we contact Linden Lab editors? For questions or update requests to existing entries, or to report an error — like a wrong SLurl or place that's gone — please contact the Linden Lab editors via email (editor@lindenlab.com). Please note that we are not able to respond to all inquiries about individual submission suggestions. However, we do welcome all comments, feedback and suggestions. ..... in my expirience .. it took 2 days max. on several occasions to have an existing entry changed.
  14. honestly .. the only thing i still really, really love about being a merchant in sl .. is cashing out. making stuff and helping customers was fun for like, well almost a year.. by now making stuff feels like actual work but neccessary since i know it will be rewarded (by being able to cash out more ;p) .. the customer IMs are still, 2 years later the same. only noobies really IM. so by now it's like *exhales* alllright, let's get this over with, explain once again how to rez and click something. (shhh, i am, so .. ) of course the now and then 'love your stuff' IMs feel nice, but they still a little embarrasing .. like what you gonna respond to that, thank you, glad you like it ! and give a lil gift hoping they don't want to start talking more ... still feels weird tho ;p i do appreciate every, very every sale and if a customer really IMs me with a 'owww.. i'm not that happy or so' i refund them since i don't want them to be unhappy for spending money with me .. but well .. it's a 'job' by now .. and sadly i am not one of the lucky people that actually love what they do, rl or sl (anymore).. but it works to pay bills let's just say .. if i was born being wealthy i would not bother with sl .. (or rl) work. very nice to see how most of you still enjoy what they do here greetings

  17. OMG Jen, be happy (I mean happy, like dancing in a circle, dressed in a beautiful spring colored dress, surrounded by yellow flowers... for every review you did NOT get.. (and yes, I am assuming you have great products - but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to reviews). IMO, no review is better than a bad one. .. since most bad ones are from petty competitors or noobs (love them but they suck leaving reviews, even if they just have to rez a box - sorry but different subject) or just people that you have know once - or still know - and just don't really like you that much .. and most important .. if you are passionate about your items .. it really sucks emotional wise .. and it will bug you untill you just reenlist it (aver enhancing it a bit of couse.. for the record lol)... Don't get me wrong, good reviews are great and very charming, sometimes embarassing lol ;p - some sound like you just told someone to write that! - I must say I would rather just have a quick complemetary IM left than a review. IMO bad reviews DO harm to sales .. even if some try to tell you - who reads them anyway ?! - as a consumer - I DO and have NOT purchased A LOT of things due to them - and as a merchant, I have seen things drop rapidly due to bad review as well (even if they were due to noobs or bit**es ;p) anyway I am against the whole review system. A merchant should be able to present and sell their items without a third party's opinion. ... (That is without giving thought to black sheep merchants and how to protect customers from them) again .. OMG Jen, be happy (I mean happy, like dancing in a circle, dressed in a beautiful spring colored dress, surrounded by flowers... for every review you DIDN'T get... Also.. the linden japan bears taught us .. people DO know HOW to leave reviews and again, my god never seen so many reviews building up in 3 days (was kinda cool too how they starteed collecting bad reviews - altho people were ripped in pieces for leaving them - due to delivery probs, even tho it happened on the worst possible items) . anyway... even if some tell you - people just don't know HOW to leave reviews..they DO! *waves
  18. Before creating the new listing, I check out the competition. Now for that i have to enter keywords in search myself .. and there you go (You can also check the keywords of their listings.. and add the ones you go 'OH yea, didn't think of those!')
  19. Hmm Marketing tools.. oh, one - probably most successful one, comes to mind - How bout that huge pink elephant in the.. Marketplace? (It's always 'pink' in my imagination since I grew up with Disneys Dumbo) Reading discussions and official advise on marketing here.. god, I just want to - I don't know - shake them .. and sometimes just be a good person and just tell our newer merchants to give them the same chance. Maybe the reason WHY everyone pretends that pink elephant is not there and has chosen to ask and discuss tangential or small and irrelevant issues - such as freebies, hunts and ad boards - rather than deal with that HUGE loophole they have opened with closing xstreet ... is that they are maybe scared to draw attention to themselves.. or just not sell that much in the future... On the other hand, maybe if we put some pressure on Linden getting that thick skinner back to the zoo, the marketplace would be a better place, you know .. a pretty one where flowers grow and not a place where ONLY 'cheaters' being able to pay their medical bills with sl money. And on the third hand (is there a real 'saying' that means the same?) .. maybe the officials just feed it sugarcubes, even in cute shapes like hearts and clovers (you have those over there as well?) - god, I would KILL to know the percentage of the elephant commission fees! Other than that .. I'd say .. good presentations of your items on the marketplace (assuming they are good items) and smart put classifieds in world are the only two marketing tools you'll ever need to be successful.
  20. Ist dein Laden in Showcase? Vielleicht wurde er von dort ausgewählt. Ich glaube bei der Bewerbung für Showcase/Destination Guide treten wir irgendwelche Rechte ab.
