  1. I agree with you Peggy. Based on a few reviews I read after your last post, it seems that the 550TI is designed to compete with Radeon HD5770 at the 150 USD range. It was noted in one review that the 550TI is a better performer than the GTS450 and fills the gap between the GTS450 and the higher priced and better performer GTX460. With prices on the GTX460 falling to 150 USD it may be a better option than the GTX550TI.

    Thanks!

edit to add: Oh, it is suggested that the TI designation seems to be only a marketing thing, refering to nvidias prior use of TI to designate a "performace" model.

  2. I've been thinking that the GTX550TI is the best performance/value card on the market at about 120-140 USD. How do others feel about the value of this model. For the same price of the GTX580, you could replace that card each year for 3 years when better cards hit the price break.

Can anyone comment on the performance of the GTX550TI?

if the ghosting problem that had been irradicated has come back :matte-motes-dont-cry: the solution that used to work for me back in the day was to change log in location and repeatedly attempt to log in there would be a short window every 15 minutes that would allow a successful log in then once logged tp to where you ghosted

This solution has worked for me and many others. I posted this in two other threads recently...

I had the same problem the other day. I tried all the non support ticket suggestions and nothing worked until I followed this advice: Avatar Ghost Exorcism

Log on with a destination other than where your avatar in ghosted....

Logon as usual.  You will probably get the usual message.  But, according to the information in the blogs, the ghosted avatars go off-line for a minute every 14 minutes.  During that time you can log on.  So if you keep trying to log on, you should succeed within 14 minutes.

When you are logged in, go to the location of your doppelganger. The system will detect the anomaly and resolve the issue.

    good luck!
