  1. I will check that, thanks... I normally use Firefox and switched over to IE and things seem ok over there... I was going to look into my plugins too, I have one that shows keywords in the listing so I wonder if that could be messing with things (although that seems weird) thanks for the tips, this is driving me bonkers this a.m. ^^
  2. no... something is still funky. i cleared all cache and restarted computer. It's not sticking to the same sorts still >.< For example, i went to another resident's store. Default sort is by relevance. So I changed it to "Newest First." First page looks fine, then when I go to the next page, it's back to relevance again. None of the sort changes are sticking for the additional pages after I change it to something different.
  3. thanks Arwen yeah i think I need to clear my cache up!
  4. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this.. thought it was just a glitch the other day but it's happening still... I try to sort my items by "Rating" or "Name" or anything other than "Price Low to High," or even just leave it at the default "Relevance," and when I go to the second page of listings, it changes to "Price Low to High" instead of continuing with the listing order I've chosen. Makes it extremely difficult to navigate items by any sorting except price low to high. :( Has it been this way very long? I've filed a bug report, I encourage others to do the same if they see the same behavior. eta: maybe it is my cache or something... i tried with an alt and things are working as expected.
  5. Dear Commerce Team, At this point, most patience and goodwill for anything Marketplace-related has worn thin and I (and many others) have simply given up hope that Marketplace will ever be anything like a successful, logical, and dependable XstreetSL that was, in effect, ruined over 2 years ago (or is it 3 now?). Who was aware that you were "giving away" enhancements, and where was this communicated? I myself filed a few tickets wanting to be assured that I would not be charged for the enhancements that I ALREADY CANCELLED yet were still running. (I did not receive this assurance, so I still have to constantly check to be sure I am not being billed). Based on the posts in this thread it's obvious there are a lot of merchants that are still trying to cancel their ads and yet cannot. Why is it taking so long to fix this? I honestly don't understand. What I do understand is that there is a lot of peoples' $L toyed with and wasted with little to no communication or visible effort on LL's part to rectify the situation. Things don't get fixed in the Marketplace... they get "worked on." There is a big difference. It's extremely disheartening. Two years ago I said to myself, "It really sucks now, but it's going to be great in a couple years." I guess that was too soon. How many years is it going to take to get the Marketplace even close to what the previous Marketplace was? That is: dependable, trustworthy, professional, functional in even a very basic way. (review notifications, V-day, database issues, etc etc ad naseum) I am no longer angry about the lack of all of the above in the Marketplace. I am just sad because what existed previously worked, and worked well. I am sincerely hoping the current incarnation improves someday but at this rate, it's going to take longer than any of us in this thread will be alive. Sera Lok

LL seems to stick with the northern Hemisphere seasons so I'd like to suggest something of that nature for July Have to agree... Masquerade seems so... Mardi Gras/Spring-ish ^^ We already done did that, right?
  7. Very glad to see "Mesh Creator Tools" being added, thanks! Have to agree about the "Meeroos" thing... isn't that a tad inappropriate as it's a Brand Name? Thanks for the update. Added my request for "Furniture > Neko Furniture" and "Furniture > Petite Furniture" to the JIRA.
  8. Sassy Romano wrote: Multiple store fronts? Ability to arrange our own store into categories? Proper support for colour sets? Effective reporting? mmm Drool. personally the multiple color sets support would be SO great for the things I create, and would clean up a bunch of issues people have with searching for things (i.,e. scrolling through someone's 100 variations of 1 item, sigh) Still just waiting for so much basic functionality, i.e. why do we STILL not have email notification upon review? Heavy Sigh! To my knowledge LL has never even commented on this other than to "acknowledge" it somewhere in some JIRA. I did notice that a "meta" JIRA for Search problems was recently marked as major, so I would guess that some of the search issues will be addressed. But I hate having to guess when there should logically be someone at LL telling us what's in store in an official blog post or other official LL communication... We shouldn't have to be combing JIRAs to find out what LL Commerce Team is up to. Plus the marketplace has been all slow again. boo. I too would love to hear something positive/promising about what's in store.

  10. I'm wondering if there is a 'good' reason why marketplace listings lose their relevance after editing them, and if people have confirmed that editing anything in a listing causes a loss in relevance. i.e., what if you just change related items, or the SLURL? Does ANY change in the listing affect relevance or are there certain fields that trigger the loss? It has been pointed out before that people shouldn't be penalized for updating/upgrading products, yet this is what seems to be happening. So... is this just another unfortunate/unfair problem that we're stuck with, and if so, what is the reasoning? Would love to hear from a Linden on this to clarify what is happening here.
  11. this week seems bad for MP, i have made NO sales today and i have a few freebies that sell regularly every day. if the freebies aren't moving, i know something is messed up.. ^^ that said, there are a lot of fairs and expos going on right now, so possibly people are busy with other things too. but MP right now is painfully slow (again).
  12. Yep, and profile thumbnails not loading, some search issues also. They need a better network!
  13. Sassy Romano wrote: COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION, COMMUNICATION. It's just not there is it? The single, one and only, most important thing that costs next to nothing, needs no development, no expenditure, no team meetings... just communication with the stakeholders just doesn't happen, it's truly beyond comprehension as to why this does not happen. Nope... and it is definitely beyond my comprehension. It takes a handful of minutes and a few words to inform people. It makes me think that communication inside the Commerce Team, and Commerce Team to LL/LL to Commerce Team is just as bad as it is from Commerce Team to its users. I don't get it. Maybe they are just hoping a bunch of people will give up and say screw it so SLM will have that much fewer "older" items? I don't understand at all and silence only leaves people to conjecture, which is no good.
  14. Nod.. it wasn't as bad when DD was initially released, because threads were relatively visible, blogs were still fresh, marketplace home did have some good links... but where are they all now? They have sunken with time and LL is not keeping it fresh for all those just now coming to do their migrations.
  15. My pleasure. Or displeasure. We shouldn't have to ask for this. LL should be keeping up with this. Here's some links that people have found useful: Merchant Outbox Not Recognizing Your Store : http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Merchant-Outbox-Not-Recognizing-Your-Store-Yet/td-p/1445333 How to get rid of unassociated items: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Delete-Unassociated-Items-suggestions/td-p/1447331 Updating a product that has already been migrated to DD: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/If-you-need-to-update-a-product-you-ve-uploaded-to-Direct/td-p/1448695 In addition there is lots of official documentation that has sunk over time that it would be nice if the person in charge of this stuff at LL (there is someone... right?) could provide links to. For instance what I've already referenced in this thread that hasn't been updated by LL since October: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Merchants/Useful-links-for-Merchants/td-p/1159841

This thread is from Oct 11 2011 and hasn't been updated since, even though it states it will be updated. "Useful links for merchants" Sticky should contain current information about Migrating to DD, etc. Why hasn't this been updated? Like hey, how about put this stuff here: Commerce Blog Post on Direct Delivery Marketplace Direct Delivery Migration Guide (KB Article) Selling in the Marketplace (KB Article) (YouTube Video) (YouTube Video)
  17. Edited: Look at the end of this post for helpful links. If you want to make this your 'own' sticky, look under "Topic Options" and select "Float This Topic to the Top." A user really shouldn't have to read the whole forum and search for a blog post from last month, plus search through knowledge base to find the basic information they need to migrate. This is a thread to request a Sticky to the Merchant Forum which includes links to DD migration documentation and helpful forum threads. All it takes is ONE sticky titled "DD Migration Information" containing links that USED to be on the merchant homepage and are now gone (including the original blog post and links to Torley's videos, etc), and links to forum threads that address many of the problems that users experience when converting that can be easily solved by having quick access to the proper information. Let's add links here to threads/pages/etc that we think LL should include in the sticky. I would also like to request that a link to the future Sticky be posted on the Merchant Home Page on SLM and be left there until DD migration is fully completed. Thanks in advance, LL, for fulfilling this much needed gap in easily accessible information. 18. bump. sure would be nice if LL could make a sticky with links to theads like this, and links to the official documentation on converting to DD. The links on the merchant homepage are now gone and I see no easy way to find the documentation in one easy to reference place.
  19. Dakota Linden wrote: Hello Sera, It is more visible. Log into the Marketplace - Click My Marketplace - Merchant Home page Hey Dakota, so... um.. those links are gone now, surprise, surprise... where are people supposed to go now for a central location that's easy to find about converting to DD? Sure would be nice if there was a sticky or something... and perhaps a permanent link to something, anything, on the Merchant Home Page that the commerce team wouldn't take away for awhile, since the only link now is to the "updates thread" which doesn't contain any links to the original documentation/instructions.
  20. Pamela Galli wrote: I have carefully avoided touching anything on my MP store (I have a backlog of things to be listed) in hopes of avoiding borkage -- I did not have anything in the identified range of IDs. But now I guess all bets are off, since any number is vulnerable, huh? I don't count this as a step forward. And I would like to reiterate what I have said about this before: they can't fix it. I think it's something that's not going to be fixed in one go. Alot of it might have to be done manually, but since this has been said to be a problem from the Xstreet migration, I don't see why completely new issues would pop up unless there were more migrations from Xstreet which we know isn't going to happen. These seem to be old issues that are showing themselves in new ways. Personally I see this as a step forward overall, but time will tell whether that's true or not. It's kinda like when you are trying to squeeze all the air out of an air bed and the air finds all these new places to go, but eventually you get it all out and you're done. That sounds silly, but that's my analogy and I'm sticking to it.
  21. The new item I saw in my store was an item that I had had unlisted for a long time, perhaps even before the Xstreet migration. Was that true for your items as well Czari, or were they listed items?
  22. Ha, we were posting to JIRA at the same time. All of my borkedness seems to be gone except for one new item, it's something I've had unlisted for a looong time, and now it shows a really old listing title and a picture of hair textures. Since it was unlisted, I decided to edit and list the original item, which gave me a completely new 12xxx listing number. So that didn't work. Regardless I am happy to see something happening, I hope they are on the new borked stuff quickly and don't let it hang for weeks like the previous ones.
  23. i look forward to a ton of content marked "madstyle" that has nothing at all to do with the promo but is just marked that way to try to garner attention. yay.
