  4. I have zero idea what that has to do with the issue. Merchants have, and should have, the right to ban anyone they choose. Don't want to be banned? Don't push a merchant to that point. Because it is generally a last resort.
  5. It is totally legitimate for merchants to ban whomever they choose, for whatever reason. Much like customers can choose where to shop, merchants can choose who they do not want to sell to. Why it was also brought in on MP by LL.
  6. No they shouldn't. Much like RL, a store can refuse certain people who have given them reason(s) to ban them. MP eventually brought in the option as well (although it would be better to have a list, as opposed to working from your blocked list, IMHO). Stores will only ban folk (and lose any potential income from them) for their own very good reason(s). Be it harassment, griefing, or any other multitude of "bad interactions" they have had.
  7. That is nothing to do with CasperVend. CasperVend does not use email at all. The email notifications are the object IM if you are offline, and have set up offline -> email forwarding, which is a setting on your Second Life account page
  8. There was no "pre-announcement" from either party. Not in group chat or group notices. It was announced by LL and Casper within minutes of each other.
  9. False. The same group notices sent in the regular group, are also sent in the open join CasperTech Announcements group.
  10. The "send to all" option has been removed already on the Updates tab.
  11. All aspects of CasperTech within SL are included in the sale.
  12. CasperTech is a fully-fleged company both within, and ouside of SL. LL bought the SL part.
  13. Initially all remains the same, including support. Eventually Linden will also help with support and we'll figure out what that looks like in the future Norsk CasperTech Support
  14. Also, comments have the names removed, except for the merchant. This is going to be a ruddy nightmare for merchants. Especially as there is apparently no time limit on posting a review after purchase. To be honest, be best to just get rid of reviews altogether if this is current route. 95% of reviews fall into either 5 stars - "love it" / "awesome" etc - and nothing else 1 star - slagging of the merchant / not reading the instructions and complaining it doesn't work
  15. I tested avatars using the same email at the same time - sending them IMs while offline from a third account. 1 received the offline to email, 1 did not, to the same email address. Don't get me wrong, I am glad they seem to be arriving fine now, but I do not believe the reasoning given. Too many flaws, IMHO
  16. That doesn't explain why other avatars using the same addresses were receiving fine. If the destination address was reporting as "failed to deliver" that would apply to those avatars as well, surely. And then swapping the addresses for the 2 affected avatars resolved the issue, then they died again when swapping back.
  17. I have other avatars using the same gmail addresses - and no issue. Just two affected avatars. I am guessing more because I had to re-verify when I switched, but not when I swapped BACK there's something bugged in LL's stuff somewhere. Forum alerts, Jira alerts - all ok, using the same gmail account and original one linked to this avatar. It is JUST offline stuff & MP notifications as I can see.
  18. It's actually both my Premium accounts affected. The non-Premium, that deliver to the same addresses - all fine. I swapped emails on both (so Himmel's mails go to Freya's mail and vice versa), and all ok. Swapping back - dead again. So it is absolutely something with SL just not sending them. I had to (re)verify the address when I swapped. Swapping back, I did not. I am guessing because previously verified(?)
  19. mine are 2 different emails, and other avatars using the SAME email addresses are receiving fine. And nope, not in spam or Junk or trash

  21. Same on two avatars. No offline IMs or Group notices to email. Toggled off and on again, both on the webpage and inworld prefs. Also not getting MP sales emails (nothing to do with offline IM -> email). Other alts are fine, even using the same email addresses.
  22. this does not work. As soon as you tick "copy" automatic redelivery is enabled. Even if you click the "not allowed" option.
