    Then so be it. I'm sure that if they find there's a problem which needs addressing, they'll take care of it and you've done your part as a concerned member of the SL community - and if they choose to do nothing, at least you tried.

    I'm not confused, nor have I given any indication of such. I'm just wondering if you plan on taking this query beyond the forum and actually doing something about your concerns such as going through the proper channels and alerting the powers that be, or will you continue to engage in this futile standoff with QueenB? Facetious retorts aside, what say you?

    I've haven't noticed a 'secret' or 'hidden agenda' in any of your comments, nor made that claim, but the thread took on an adversarial tone almost from the start. It just seems rather counterproductive to continue on in this way.

    Seems the "discussion" ended a couple of pages ago and quickly disintegrated into a disagreement, which resulted from a differing of opinions.

    Dogpiling, bandwagoning, tag-teaming, coattail riding.. choose one. There is however, a herd mentality that permeates throughout this forum, which oftentimes involves the same handful of people dogpiling into a thread to browbeat a poster into submission. Furthermore, I have no 'squad'. Rarely do I involve myself in these types of squabbles, but considering how often I see you and others engaging in this type of behavior on this forum, I commented on it. So there are no 'double standards' here. If you take issue with that, so be it, that is your prerogative. Do report back to everyone and let us know what resulted from your talk with LL and what legal actions (if any) were taken to shut down this and all similar facilities within SL. Cheers!

    Not a problem. They'll sit here virtually backslapping, thumbs upping, and high fiving each other all day long - but do nothing to actually address the "issue" (as they see it) to ensure that facilities such as yours (which they fear may be harmful to the most vulnerable among us) ) cease to exist in SL. Why? Because it's impossible to police an entire online community. They may succeed in stopping a few people from applying for jobs at your clinic, so what? There are other avenues and channels you can go through to find what you are seeking. When all is said and done, it will be LL who has the final say in the matter. With that said -- leave them to it as you carry on about your day. Have a good day ladies

And you don't call that a dogpile. Right. My description stands. I'll say this Orwar, and then I'm done with this topic.. As someone who advocates for the mentally ill in RL (not just on an internet forum) - which includes but not limited to - contacting my state senators, congressperson(s), The Texas Dept of Services Mental Health and Substance Abuse Division, City of Dallas councilpersons, NAMI and other area mental health outreach facilities, volunteering at mental health community centers, sitting with patients in mental illness court when their families have tried to have them committed and so on.. Not to mention losing a friend to mistreatment within a mental health facility, and having family members who suffer from depression and mental illness - what you're doing here surmounts to pissing in the wind, and I will tell you why.Unless you are prepared to go the full distance and contact each and every person in SL who runs a facility such as this, or has a support group which reaches out to the mentally ill, or has a mental health "wellness" center, cognitive/behavioral therapy group et al. - you are just wasting your time pontificating endlessly about the "dangers" associated with such a place, while taking no action to do anything about them. Sure, posting here is bringing attention the issue, but if you really want to do something useful to help those you feel may fall victim to one of these facilities, contact Linden Lab. Better yet, contact a lawyer and find out what your legal options are. Good day.

    And in comes the dog pile... No one expects the SL Forums Inquisition! Bear in mind - that if the moderators of this forum feel as though they have sufficient reason to delete this thread, they will. If not, they won't. Also, an in-world search for Mental Health, Support, Therapy, etc - will bring up a multitude of various facilities similar to this one.

    I mainly use the built-in viewer poses for snapping pictures along the way to gauge my progress and to make fine-tuned adjustments. Due to my decline in visual acuity (from corneal disease) and my inability to track moving objects well with my eyes - I have a tendency to turn the AO off while I'm working on a shape, then turn it back on to see how everything moves once I'm finished making any necessary adjustments.

    When I was a little girl, my mom gave me a music box with a tiny spinning ballerina inside... Many days I would sit on my bed, with my music box open and wistfully watch as my little dancer twirled around. This was the melody that played over and over... It brings back so many sentimental memories, especially of my mom who has since passed on.

    *nods in agreement* That's how I am with my own shape - I don't buy new ones, I just adjust my old one as I go along. I have varying sizes of the same shape in my inventory - many of which I will never wear again and should be tossed into the bin.

    Thank you once again Skell, you are a wealth of information! Duly noted! The shape tools came in handy, but it's the minute details like this, that I was struggling with trying to get just right on him - which is why I posted. I'm glad that you answered and gave me a comprehensive break down of what needs to be adjusted. I'm going to make the changes that you've suggested and post an updated picture after I'm done. Makes perfect sense. After snapping that pic, I did notice that he was looking a bit "boxy", and took in the love handles just a bit. I'm going to check him over again today, to see if he still needs a bit of adjusting in that area. Thanks, I'll drop by there to see how he "measures" up! EDIT: Here are the before and after pics for comparison. I had already taken in the love handles a bit in the before pic, and then just a touch more in the after picture.

    Wow, thanks Marianne! It's funny that you mention that - a while back, a friend and I did discuss making and selling shapes on MP. I just may revisited that idea again and actually do it this time.

    The starting face/shape were pretty bad before I began his "makeover". His precise words to me were - 'make him look how you want, I'm leaving it to you', so that's what I'm doing. I have a lot of experience with working the sliders and all, but when it comes to men's bodies, sometimes I wrestle a bit with getting the proportions just right. Usually, whenever I work with male shapes, I normally tweak them with and without clothing to see how everything comes together. Female bodies [to me] have always been easier to adjust. I always try to keep everything to scale and within the limitations of the mesh body (and my racial/ethnic body type). No oversized hips, breasts, butts etc. Once his makeover is complete, I might post a before and after picture for comparison.

    Howdy, I have a question for the men and possibly some of the women on the forum.. What are the best male shapes on the market? I'm asking because I'm trying to help a friend make over his avatar. I'm trying to make minor adjustments to his current shape, but it still doesn't quite look right. Any pointers in the right direction will be appreciated. Thanks! EDIT: This is what I have so far, I'm just trying to make sure that everything is proportioned correctly.
