  1. Decorating a Tortuga OP was quite the challenge as I'm not a big fan of big rooms. Dividing the space however and creating a Foyer and a Kitchen helped a lot. I often try to stay within a colour combination ( which is not always easy on SL), this time it was grey - beige.
  2. Happy New Year !! There was a release recently, but currently there are are only OL stilts on the LP, most of them not on or near water. However my alt got a OL Home with a great view, right next to my main's home..... Miracles do happen sometimes... I think we all hope for a mass release tomorrow, there are some fabulous locations out there waiting to be owned I haven't had any glitches so far, although I have seen some parcels that have no home.
  3. The problem was the number of items in each subfolder in combination with the many subfolders, if I remember correctly the limit was around 1000 items. ( my hair, shoes and clothing folders were by far the worse in regards to the number of items....) The performance issues that I had got resolved when I moved all subfolders out of their initial folders. That made my inventory extremely long as there are too many main folders now, but using the right keywords made it easy to find things.
  4. ΙI follow the same system as others. I have main folders and subfolders, all named in a way that i can type and find whatever I like. Having had big loading problems of inventory in the past, I followed the advice of a very helpful Linden not to have folders with too many subfolders, so in some cases, all subfolders are swimming in my inventory, but in an organized way so that they can be found anytime. I am giving specific names to the folders, always using the same keywords, which makes finding something pretty easy.
  5. Hello neighbour !! I'm your view !! My home is just in front of yours, please do not derender me
  6. Where I live , although we have a rather mild climate, we do get snow 3-4 times per year and everybody loves it. We are far from being tropical or even subtropical though. Not so long ago, I was the owner of a tropical estate in SL and I know from experience that nothing will stop lovers of snowy winters to turn their tropical parcels into a winter wonderland. For that reason I decided to abandon my nice home and move on
  7. It looks very nice and natural !! My alt already abandoned a nice house due to a neighbour who was adamant that a snowy Stilt Home on water and snowy piers should not bother me. All I had to do was to look away.....
  8. After getting a nice spot in Albacore, I discovered that I love the Stilts more than all other types of LH. I decided to go with the Havana, as I am not a lover of big homes and I didn't regret it
  9. It means me and my two alts who abandoned their Trad and Log Homes
  10. After a few tries, I can't believe that I finally have this amazing view !! Good luck to everyone, may you get the home of your dreams
  11. I was afraid this would happen. It already happened with the houseboats, where people rezzed everything one can imagine from mesh beaches with waves and islets to helipads, huge visible privacy walls and God knows what else. For that reason I will try for a land Stilt home, hopping ugliness will be kept there to a minimum.
  12. I will release a sandy Trad on water, with a view over a sandy island with Campers at 12 noon SLT I moved to a nicer one with the help of lovely @Malayaa http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wood/119/192/24
  13. I will release one of the nicest Trads in old Belli , facing North. The region is Venber , the parcel is protected on 3,5 sides, there is a nice small Linden green area in front of the home with a sitting bench and unobstructed Ocean View. There is a Linden road between the home and the rocky shoreline. Had this a long time ago, transferred it to a friend later and he transferred it back to me ( my alt....) a couple of days ago. However I decided that I like sandy beach parcels better Will abandon it at 5 am SLT, if someone wants it badly here and now, just send me an IM inworld. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Venber/112/99/38 EDIT : and gone, within 12 minutes
  14. My first impression was Tudor, and a bit later I came across a similar home in a Facebook group, which is dealing with old houses for sale in the USA. That home is being promoted as a Tudor Style house and the resemblance is remarkable.
  15. I think you were the first to get it. It took more than an hour till it showed up on the LP, while only Meadowbrook was available during that time. I wasn't a sandy parcel person either, but that Trad turned me. Enjoy !!
  16. Will be letting go a lovely sandy Trad at 6 am SLT Even though not on water, it has a nice location with a beach ( and houseboats) right across the street plus a Linden pool. I would have kept it, but I yesterday landed a nicer one directly on water You can inspect it here http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lostbell/125/143/28 In case you like it very much and can't wait till I release it, pls contact me inworld.
  17. I'm glad it worked out, the curtains are perfect and also easy to modify, You can easily retexture them using any texture of your choice
  18. It's a fairly new Fireplace, got it recently at some event. It's the Soul2Soul. Tuscan Fireplace and their store is here http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Blue Sky Island/90/51/3756 I went to check if it is available at the store, but while there is a demo rezzed, they direct you to the Liaison Collaborative event which is unfortunately closed. Maybe you can contact the creator directly to get it from her, her name is : Minnie Atlass Good Luck ♥
  19. The Trad is in Dahm Strait with Houseboats in front, one of which looks like a Trad, the Vic is landlocked in Bingle. Got both of them
