For some reason I no longer see animated textures, all I see are prims that have tiny pictures of the multiple images used to create the animated texture. I dont know if I have inadvertently turned off some option on my viewer or what. I have tried every viewer I have (v1, v2, v3) and I still have the problem. Can someone suggest settings that might fix my problem? Thanks in advance to anyone who offers to help

When they say it cannot be copy AND transfer they mean that you can make it mod/copy OR you can make it trans only OR mod/trans OR you can make it copy only......They just DON'T want you to make it copy/trans OR full perms

by my calculations at the cheapest tier cost of 195US a month, a person renting out land trying to just cover their tiers would have to charge you 3.38L per prim so if you are only willing to pay 200L a month then that would get you about 60 prims to play with. If you find any deals better than that the owner of the sim is losing money. But hey if you can find a deal that offers you tons of prims for 200L a month please let me know and I will rent from them too

I use excel. I just download my transactions then open them in excel. I am able to sort by multiple criteria and analyze all my sales.

I have the same issue. It shows I have payment info on file and says I have completed tutorial yet it doesnt say I am approved or registered yet. Can you please fix mine too?

If you want a mesh reference you might want to try makehuman. http://sites.google.com/site/makehumandocs/download it is a free open source tool for making 3d characters. Oh and it will be interesting to see how some rig the "extra parts" as it does provide mesh for that too lol

I spoke with a representative of Daz and was told that usage of any of their mesh or other vendor mesh on their site is strictly prohibited in any realtime virtual environment unless you have a professional gaming license. I am working with a non profit group to make a machinama. I was told that I could use one of their models in a standalone unity setting to make the film for the non profit group but couldnt use any of the models in a real time multiuser environment without the developer gaming license. All that being said I still expect we will see Daz models on the grid. It will be interesting to see if LL does anything to keep those violating the DAZ eula in check. Of course the poly count on their models is usually very high so unless one tweeked the models and used the decimation tools to lower the count I would imagine the PE cost would be rather high. So that alone may be enough of a deterrent

As a merchant, I have always included the picture in my items as well as a LM to my main shop. As a consumer, I highly recommend including the LMs AND the pictures. I get so frustrated when I want to go back to shop at a place I got something I really liked and cant find the LM. Having the LM handy in the folder also allows me to easily drop the LM on someone who asks me where I purchased the item.

I have a problem with the fact that on my account in sales transactions it only shows a display name. So Suzy bought an item twice by mistake. I want to let her know and refund her for the duplicate but how do you find the right Suzy in search when there are hundreds of Suzys. I would like to see the real avatar name on sales transaction history. This is a huge problem in my book. If I am missing some setting or something that would allow me to see the full real avatar names on my sales history please let me know..

First I have to admit I am not using V2, so this may be part of my problem but..... On my transaction list for sales all I see is the display name. A person with only a first name as their display name. ( for example Suzy.) So I need to return Suzy her money because it looks like she bought the item twice by mistake, but there is no way for me to know what Suzy this is as it doesnt show me her real avi name. There are hundreds of Suzy's. Why doesnt LL show the real avatar name for sales transactions? So other than waiting for her to contact me I have no way of returning her money.

I think they should create a separate category for freebies, dollarbies, demos and promo items. They shouldnt include those in the regular default search but have it as an option in that drop down area that has search by: oldest , newest, best selling etc. Yes I know I can pick the over 100L option but most people , esp newbies just search using the default relevant option. Btw, some have said the default search option is by relevance and that relevance is basically by best selling item. If that is so then why have a best selling option? From a purely consumer perspective, when I search for something I would like to put in a phrase such as elven cottage and see truly relevant items that are actually elven cottages.....not elven avatars, elven dresses, or a bunch of non related prefabs. It doesnt seem that the search can truly search exact phrases well. While it may actually return a elven cottage on the list it is way down the list .......I just dont get it. If it exactly matches what you typed in search why not list that first?

Marketplace is dead in the water for me too. It has been that way since early yesterday. I can't log in. I thought that it was still supposed to work as far as browsing/searching even if you didnt log in, but it does nothing for me at all. It is only displaying tons of free/cheap items in who knows what sort of relevance.

The problem with some full perm freebies found at "freebie" shops is that it is hard to know for sure if they are items that were not copybotted, so.... the creator name you see on them may not in fact be the original creator. You also wont have as much flexibility as far as modifications if you only have the inworld freebie skin texture as you would if you had the psd files. My recommendation would be to use those that were released to the public. I cant remember the name fo the creator, maybe you guys can help me out here. (something eliot?). She provided a great set of psd files that you can easily modify as you like. There are also psd files offered for clothing that are public domain that you might use to create and modify your system clothing. It is always nice to mention the original creator when possible and mention that you have created a derivative of their work , although it is not mandatory as far as I know. Do be aware though of the iicense of that particular creator. While they may be "free" and full perms or public domain, many do have requirements. For instance some prohibit you making profits on usage of their designs or derivatives of their original works.

I use photoshop and other 3d programs to texture directly on the objects to ensure proper alignment for seams etc. So if it were a mesh vest for instance, having the ability to bring the mesh into photoshop to paint directly on the object to create the texture might be something your customers would like as an option. It would also be nice to see the texure on the object without having to upload it multiple times in SL to get it right. If the template/maps are as whonky as SL clothing templates as far as the proportions being different from the front to back this would be something I would imagine your customers would want.
