  1. @KathyGables This looks like the best place to pick up vintage style hair https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/93753?search[category_id]=5&search[maturity]=General&search I can't find them to purchase in world though. A lot of the vintage styles I spotted today were either of the 1930's era instead of 40's or too long like these I found in the discount section in Truth. =1&search[per_page]=12&search[store_id]=93753 I did find a place that has vintage men's clothes while I was wandering about today. They may be useful for your Dad's avatar and I think all the items are free. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Time Portal/242/130/1930
  2. @KathyGables I'm glad you managed to find something. I'll have a look at hair for you when I log back in tomorrow. (Sorry I haven't replied sooner. I've been busy in Rl since the weekend)
  3. You don't have lighthouse keepers ghosts up there do you? 👻 😱
  4. I was in to Brian Froud art when I made my first account, Pixie Had a break from SL while I had my little girl and when I returned I made my Layla account. It was one of the names we considered for our daughter.
  5. Your Mom is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely photo's @KathyGables The skirt suit is still for sale at Fameshed. After seeing the 2nd photograph, I can see why you would like it. I must admit it is the best I've seen in for a long time (I don't know which body you use in SL but if you go to check out the skirt suit, pick up the demo to try it out. It isn't made for the body I use but I can make it fit using my body hud )
  6. Maybe it's just the way I use my accounts but how I log in with mine .. you are wrong Also I have no pattern. I log in which ever one I feel like at the time
  7. I'd forgotten about Icing @Josephine Carissa, that was another great shop. I kept all my old clothes as well. I boxed them up when I started wearing mesh.
  8. Thank you @Alotta Mole and @Lost Mole for the mole bears. I left them nice and cosy near my wood burner … not too near 🔥
  9. I was disappointed to see that all the vintage stores I shopped at had disappeared when I returned to SL. Especially Ivalde, I must have bought everything in that shop. The only one I found that is still about is Ingenue. They only sell vintage shoes though now http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Lo Lo/185/48/22 I shop on the marketplace for vintage style clothing or just spot the odd outfit while out and about. This skirt suit is available at Fameshed at the moment. The Annex has a few vintage outfits http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Paper Dinosaurs/147/128/21 and I spotted the last dress today, it is only 99L http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hutter/82/185/21
  10. Both of my avatars have dark hair and eyes and both of them are pretty short though they would tower over me in RL. I think look wise that is where the similarities end. Now I'm going to echo @RaeLeeH, I have tattoo's in RL and used to have facial piercing but I don't in SL unless it is for a photo I am taking. I think out of the two avatars I tend to dress Layla in quite similar clothes to those I wear in RL except when Layla has her stomach on display, I'd be wearing a band t shirt. My RL interests tend to creep in to my SL homes so they will always be books, music, a camera or RL photographs I have taken and usually SL versions of my RL pets about the place.
  11. With the homes for Layla I was never really bothered about the location, I was just glad to have a place. I'm lucky I've had such lovely neighbours at both my old houseboat and now at the trailer. When I went for a traditional home with my other account I left the first two because my husband wanted to be able to put in a drive. I tried for a home on Bandit on the release day thinking I wouldn't have a chance but managed to get one. (I wanted one in that region because my husband had a Suzuki Bandit when we first met) It is an end plot with water on two sides, still couldn't put a drive in though. When my husband saw it, the drive didn't seem to be so important and he much preferred being surrounded by water so I've not moved since.
  12. This morning I've been doing the Halloween Swaginator Hunt
  13. I really like this Alyona … (she could make her home at Lake Tatakaka)
