Thanks for that, and sorry for the late reply. While there is a linked door, I’m pretty sure I analysed the physics on this mesh when I uploaded it. I’m also pretty sure it doesn’t revert when using the door, but I will check again when I’m next inworld. Never hurts to check, right!?

You are not alone with this.
Physics Setting for mesh object reverting on rezYep - that sounds exactly like it...and it looks like it's been going on for a while with no fix. @Cory Edo mentioned that he'd get around it by setting the physics to "none" and making separate mesh panels for the physics, so I guess that's my short term solution.
Thanks for finding that for me.

I'm having a sudden problem with a mesh build I made late last year. For a long time it always rezzed fine, but suddenly on rezzing one piece of the build starts acting as if it's set to convex hull. When I check the actual mesh it says that link is set to "Prim" physics and it visually shows that it is.
The weird thing is that after I've done the check, it starts behaving itself land acting like it's using Prim physics. It seems that even just clicking to edit it and moving it slightly fixes the physics.
Anyone know what's going on? Anyone else seen this behaviour? Or do I just need to re-upload that particular mesh piece to stop it being annoying?

Thanking @Scylla Rhiadra for this gorgeous sewing gift that I found when I logged in today
Rather coincidentally, I haven't been in SL too much recently because I've been doing precisely this in RL - sewing heritage fashions for everyday wear. (Wish I had a lovely treadle sewing machine like this to sew my Victorian corset with!)

My guess (on that 18 pixels thing) is that the UV map does something odd as it wraps around the edge of the mesh, probably emphasised by the way it was weighted to the various bones. The odd stretch in the mapping probably wouldn’t normally be noticed until you try with a really precise design like your lace.
I’d also guess that this was made in a program like Marvellous Designer, and that the mesh and the UV maps were auto generated. As Da5id said, a retopo would have probably fixed the mapping problem, since you’d also remap and have a nice straight edge to work on instead of lots of weirdly placed and shaped triangles.

What a lovely idea for a thread - it’s fascinating to hear what people have chosen.
For my camper, I picked the name “Running River” on the sign up page in the hope it might end up near some water...and it worked! I ended up with Lake Tatakaka on one side and a gorgeous little stream on the other, and “Running River” it has remained.
My Vic was called “Sweet Paeonia” from the get-go, probably for obvious reasons. I really should plant some peonies...

And I didn't stop at one gorgeous Belli spot - this is my alt's camper keeper...I suspect it was an abandon when the Victorians came on the market. I picked it up during that glorious December period when it seemed there was going to be a never-ending flow of Linden homes. I decided to try for a camper when I realised I had about 700m spare on my group land and I figured I wasn't going to be depriving anyone by owning two. I can't let it go as it's just too lovely - the landscaping is breathtaking, even has a picnic blanket by the river just waiting to be laid upon. I also love the sound of the river and birds etc. I enjoy going for a row on Lake Tatakaka, and if I get really adventurous and brave going over one waterfall I can paddle all the way to my victorian

Yes Highmarket. Yours is definitely a keeper, thats one beautiful parcel.
As is yours - I love that square with the fountain and the plantings around all the houses there. All the islands in the area are just gorgeous, and I don't think anyone has let theirs go since they first moved in.

I caught my Victorian 18th December. It is on a sort of little island with 6 Victorian homes and linked to a larger mass of land by bridges. In the centre of the island is a little park with a fountain. At the front I have the little park with fountain and at the back just sea. I really like all the homes I have had. There has always been something about them and the area they are in that I love. I just like moving but I will keep my Bellisseria Victorian for a long time I think.
That fountain looks just like the one in Highmarket - I think I might be your close neighbour on the next little island over in Wuthering Downs.
This is my Victorian keeper - an absolutely serendipitous find I suspect as I landed it a day or two after the rest of the area was claimed, and it was my main's very first try at a Victorian. This ticks so many boxes for me:
- water access (preferably river and not open ocean)
- green grass
- bridges & lovely landscaping
- an open feel
I even have a little island I can row my boat to just the other side of the main bridge.

Thanks, @Scylla Rhiadra! I’ve been looking at the group exploits at various times and thought I should reach out sometime...I’m much too work focussed when I get in world, and should try to be more social. I’ll certainly keep an eye out for happenings and join in if it fits with my eccentric Aussie times 🙃

Been seeing campers on the land page for a while now.
And I'm about to throw another camper into the mix - a sweet little one between the rail lines and a river in Placid. I've loved my little gypsy artist set-up here, but my spot on Lake Tatakaka is even more lovely, so this one will have to go to some other lucky camper.

I've been avoiding going to see what's in Mermaid Frolic. I know it's irrational, but the name brings up an image of an amusement park or a resort where mermaids are supposed to hang out and pretend to have fun. I'm just not a resort kind of mermaid. Still, I finally decided that I wasn't being fair. Today I went to take a look and I was surprised.
It's really kind of nice. It's a shallow inlet. hardly big enough for a poker game, and it's very quiet. You can just lie there and enjoy the warm water and listen to the otters or whatever that are quarreling in the bushes. (Really. There are otters or weasels or something there. Go listen for yourself.)
After a while, I thought maybe it was OK to frolic a little, so I tried. It took a while to get into the mood, but I can still remember how, so I guess this place isn't so bad after all.
The coast to the north of Mermaid Frolic is quite sandy and gentle. I swam up that way as far as Clean Air and Knebworth, watching out for small boats along the way. These are the sorts of places where land-dwellers like to sail out of nowhere in speedboats, so you can't be too careful.
I went into the cove at Knebworth, which is a lovely spot. There are huge Victorian homes on the hillsides and some attractive marshy spots with water lilies. I have always liked water lilies. They smell wonderful, and they are fun to hide under. When I was a kid, we used to play hide-and-go seek, and those lily pads were always my favorite hiding spots.
Knebworth's cove is not far from the houseboat community on Retrograde, which is on the reefs to the east. Since I was right there anyway, I decided to take a short swim to investigate. Mostly, it's houseboats --- pretty, colorful ones -- one after another. Lots of houseboats. And piers.
I don't know why, but people who live in houseboats almost never think to look under the piers. It's lovely cool under there, and safe. I have been around piers all over Bellisseria and have never seen anyone but another mermaid under one. Go figure.
Here's the view back from Retrograde toward Knebworth cove. Despite my earlier concern, I didn't see a single speedboat on the water today, or a sailboat either. I frolicked alone out there and loved it. Frolicking could get to be a habit.
I had a little time left in the day, so I decided to poke around the peninsula of Wuthering Downs, just north of Retrograde. There's a network of channels through there. I didn't have time to explore them all, but I was attracted by the bridges over the main channel, so I went that way.
Houses come right down to the channel through here. They have huge overhanging willow trees and well-kept gardens. They must be great places to live, if you like being indoors.
And look! More water lilies. There are patches of them all along the channel, both the normal, "plain vanilla" white variety and ...
... these beautiful lavender-colored ones. These ones are quite rare, at least I have hardly ever seen them, and they smell heavenly. I wonder if land-dwellers pay as much attention to plants out on the water as they do to all of the roses and other flowers in their gardens? If not, they are missing something.
Here's the east end of the main channel, where it opens to the sea at Highmarket. This was a good place to stop for the day. The sun was starting to go down and I had been out longer than I planned. I'll have to come back again to explore the other channels through here later. I understand that there's a small island not far to the north that might be fun to visit, and maybe I'll find more water lilies. I might even frolic a bit more. Who knows?
I had a mermaid come to visit, and I wasn’t there! I would have loved to join you for a swim!
I do have to say that as one of those land dwellers in Wuthering Downs, I absolutely adore the water lilies. And now you’re making me think I should attempt a little underwater gardening for future swimmers to discover 😊
Oh, and if I haven’t mentioned it before, I love your Belli travellogues and always look out for them. Keep up the great work! 👍

I decided to give a different trailer a go - I'd started with the Colorado when I first got a trailer, but quickly swapped over to the Shenandoah. Now I thought I should try the Colorado again, and picked up a nice little spot in Placid to give it a go. It looks like it's going to be a gypsy artist enclave

Popped into your house, lovely!
FYI, don't know if you are aware but you have several doors locked so you can't walk into the rooms; both bathrooms and the back door to the yard.
Thank you! I hadn’t thought to check on the security stuff - I’ll go in and fix it now.
btw - just had a walk-thru of yours again, and took note of a few things...gorgeous decorating.

OK, so here's a mesh model of a 14xx class tank locomotive of the Great Western Railway, about half the LI of an old prim-based model, and with a lot more detail. There are some things I got wrong, but this is getting pretty close. Actual spoked wheels rather than cylinders with textures, that sort of thing. It runs on the SLRR with the standard, rather ancient, scripts.
That is a cute train! Did you work it from exported prims or make it from scratch in your 3D program? I’ve struggled adapting prim builds to good mesh.

Haha I love that you mentioned *****t, my favourite swear word, because if you mouth it, it looks like "what"? I don't have road rage... obviously 🤐
And LL have bleeped the word out, even though it's a place name 🤣
Ah...you need my surname then. I never realised that particular word was in my name until someone tried to mention me in the forums 😝

Well, I managed to make it in for a final dust and polish on my offerings, and took a bit of time to peek into others’ places, and all I can say is WOW! Seeing photos on here is one thing, but discovering all the little details in world is something else. Well done one and all, and I’m only sorry I didn’t find the time to stop and say hi to you all while we were there getting set up.

Just checking about the campers, since it's not really clear - I'm assuming they'll be on the typical half-plot? Otherwise we'd be able to do something completely different to what would normally be available on Belli.

I have used a mature avatar since pretty much 8 years. Encountered with exactly the same problems you speaking of, and given up in trying to find skins and hairbases for me back then and learned on make my own. I've been hesitating about how much the demand for this niche of skins would be in order to kick myself on making a store. Also the reason I found this post.
Would add to the topic, is not only skin/body what you need, but also hair/hair base/facial hair/accessories, you complement everything to not just appear like a young person with wrinkles.
Wow - great work! That all comes together to make a really characterful older avatar.
Like you, I started to want to age my avatar a bit, probably also about 7-8 years ago, and found very little out there. It's what got me into trying to make my own skins and adding other stuff to my store that would help create an older look. I know I'm never going to be the biggest and best skin/make-up creator out there, but enough people have appreciated what I've offered to make it worth doing. I'd encourage you to put your creations up for sale...yes it's a niche, but it's one that's only minimally catered for.
And a pic...just because I can!

I had just the other day been checking out your little gazebo overlooking the lake - what a lovely spot to sit and admire the view 😊

So what do you all think to the Premium Plus package?
in General Discussion Forum

Not bad, but not great either. For me, I have a number of alts helping to cover the cost of my mainland (mostly for my inworld stores). I’d hoped to retire some of my alts and simplify things, but those $6 per month add up. Perks like having more than one store per account would be more to my taste than more group slots that I won’t use, but each person has to weigh up the benefits. So for now, P+ is not what I had hoped and I’m sticking with the status quo.
Oh, and if they change the regular premium price upwards again to make P+ look more attractive, I’ll be rethinking my inworld stores and retiring a few alts.
