Well, the room in the pic is definitely a Trad, even tho Logs have the same sort of simple molding.  And trads desperately need both open floorplans and My Colors.

And some update on the outside textures... I love mine and I'm keeping it forever, but with those roof and pavement textures, the theme feels dated to me.

Still waiting to hear, I believe, sigh.  I vote for the latter, current themes on bigger parcels.

Same here. I'd love to have a Doyle or Alderley model in a 2048 parcel (and with campers I'd be over the moon).

The 351-constraint is way better than the 75-constraint I used to live with in the old themes

And the funny thing is that we did manage to put a lot of stuff in those old houses!

Thanks @Elena Core! I do need to learn proper linking to save on allowance I always do exterior first, interior then "prune" the exterior to balance them out but still end up a little sparse inside!

I always start with the garden and, by the time I start decorating inside, I just have room for a table...

The interior is done to some degree, I have 3 li left. This was another go at creating maximal look both in and out. I am not a master at linking things am still learning that one...

You have such a unique style, always coming up with great ideas for the campers.

  5. That is really sad :( It is one of the few stores that sell animals without mocking them, like tattooed cats or 'paint on me' ponies...

    I will miss them

I had one there and loved the location so much; that's the house I kept for a year and only let it go because I wanted to try the Sakuras. I wonder if the one I picked up was the same one you let go? It really was a gorgeous location. But... the Trads frustrate me now, I find them too small.

Oh no, your home was waaay better. Mine was actually two lines behind,  on the street corner. I was so thrilled that I had finally got one, that I never thought of seaside locations, open views, flowers in the front, not many neighbors around... Until then the madness started...

I suspect that came from the great Bellisserian housing crisis of 2019 when there weren't enough homes to keep up with the demand. Now that Linden Homes are plentiful, there's not much discontent with people owning multiple houses.

There's no shame in owning only one or more. You buy what you want and afford.

Right. You remember how 2019 was, clicking like crazy or using auto refresh... The day I got mine in Fofita, I almost cried.. So I get the feeling of 'not being fair' about those having more than one back them

I don't see anyone shaming anyone for having more than one. Like I said in my response, my impression has been that more than one is typical, so those of us with one are used to having to emphasis that we really mean only one (people assume it's a joke or that we're hiding accounts for some reason). I don't know why it's unbelievable, but there we go.

    Agreed.

There were some negative comments about multiple-home-owners back in 2019/2020, but I think now, everybody gets that people are free to have as many houses as they want.

This came up in another thread, and it's all a question of how important it is to own that Homestead (paying directly to Linden Lab) vs renting it from an Estate. For the end user, there are advantages to ownership, but it can be significantly less expensive to rent instead (especially with VAT, if I understand correctly).

(I'm not promoting one way or another, I'm just anticipating Estate owners complaining about this new offer "competing" with them, which I don't think is a very compelling argument. If people are willing to pay this much extra to own their own Homestead, Estates might want to look at why.)

That is the point. To some people it is worthy, and that is great.

To me it is not since with VAT, It would add up to around 1700€/year, and SL is not important enough to me to make such an investment

The benefit is the significantly lowering the cost of ownership.  The alternative if you don't want to rent is to own a full private island and then add the homestead costs on top.  That comes to a significant amount more than going the P+ route.

Yes, but you are paying almost 300€ to lower that cost.

If it works for others, great! But to me, the numbers don't work

Does anyone know who make this Victorian Beliserian Path Kit? Tried right clicking to see the creator but it's linked to a zillion things on the parcel so i can't figure it out.
