Road Moonwing

i've booted up SL, and my avi loads perfectly and can be seen in color and full detail, as can box objects, but all other things, as in surroundings and avatars of other players and objects don't fully rez and end up being rendered as blank, featureless, grey forms resembling the avis and such minus detail. How do i fix this?

i'm on Firestorm Viewer, and i WAS wearing some pants that have attachments that go onto a base, but i've changed repeatedly to a completely different outfit, and yet the upper pant leg attachments remain on. i've tried double-clicking them in my inventory, i've tried the 'detach from self' option on both inventory AND on my avi, and yet they never detach. And they show as attached still in the inventory. Nothing i do seems to remove them or even effect them. i'm using a Macbook with Mavericks on it, not Windows, so solutions for Windows comps unfortunately won't work... i don't know if it's a glitch, an error with my laptop, or an error with the viewer or with SL itself, but i'd like to get this figured out.

i see others who'll just be standing, and then, wherever they are, they'll just sit down, as if its an automatic thing. Is there a way i can make my avi do it too? Whenever i try to sit on the ground, i'm told that there's no room to sit, so i know it's not just them managing to sit down where there's no permission to sit. Please help?

i've got a really odd problem. i have a furry avatar with a skin, etc.... The problem comes with the pieces of it, namely the head, paws, footpaws and arm / leg attachments. No matter what i do, the nose and such are a complete black color. my current avatar is a WHITE lion with attached bunny ears that i added myself. The original ears, which are seen behind the rabbit ears, are also black. Does anyone have ANY idea of what's making my avi look like this, why it's looking like that, and how i can fix it? BTB - i'm using a Mac laptop, one of the earlier ones. It runs Mac OSX Leopard right now. And it has a 2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor... If that helps at all... And i'm running the newest browser for SL Mac...
