Same issue -- started after Viewer 2 automatically updated to version 2.8. Even though I've uninstalled that and rolled back to 2.7.5, I still can't get logged in, either. I've had a suppor ticket open for several hours

I got a suggestion from Live Chat to uninstall 2.8 and reinstall 2.7.5, but it appears to be too late. I can't sign in to either version of SL Viewer 2. Have tried flushing DNS cache, adding preferred DNS servers, restarting router and laptop, manually deleting SL cache. Based on the common experiences I'm seeing on the forum, I'd say someone at LL has well and truly screwed up.
