We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Some people already have names that are more difficult to remember than their UUID. So far LL been very carefull not to break too much content. So im guessing people will not be able to change their names. Changing name would create big mess and destroy giant pile of content. So, your name will prolly stay "LiveReport Resident", but maybe you will be able to create new "Live Report" account. And the name is already "Reggae Resident". Some software just dont display the last name, but it is there.

No worries, i dont swing the ban hammer when i cant tell if something is botted. But there are oh so plenty of items that are very clearly botted.

As already mentioned, there is nothing you can do to prevent copybotting exept to make sure no one ever see your build. One thing to keep in mind though. No-mod objects are highly annoying to the user. Some people buy a product, and if they want edit it, they will just copybot it to make it modable. And once it is botted, they might also give copy of it to their ALT, maybe a friend too, and then it start to spread. The big problem with SL is that it follows U S of A laws, so posession of stolen goods is illegal only if the value is over 5000US$.... But all hope is not entirely lost, we all should just get zero tolerance policy. When we see people with stolen content, we can tell the person to get rid of the smelly stolen item, or get banned from our parcels. If enough many of us will throw out scum with stolen items, stealing might get less popular. "i didnt steal this object, im just using it" == "i didnt kidnap this baby, im just raping it in my basement"

Strange visual artifacts like lines and polygons give hint of graphics card that is overheating or damaged. Check the amount of dust inside the cooling element of the graphics card. Also make sure the fan is spinning.

I think i have the same problem. For me it started maybe about 3 weeks ago. With snowglobe i see my self as black, exept head is missing. And with v3 i see me like the above picture, mostly invisible with random colored pixels here and there. I have also tried everything. Format: C is the next thing to try, maybe some other day.. big job. Now roaming the grid with AV made entirely from prims.

I dont really know much about jobs in SL, and hopefully someone who know more will tell. Im guessing that creators and land dealers get best moneys in SL. Becoming a land dealer require big starting investment. Content creation require some learning but it is super fun. Privately owned sandboxes can have what ever rules they want to have. LL owned sandboxes have the "no weapons" sign and it means that you are not allowed to shoot innocent people. But you can ofcourse create weapons and even test tem on a friend who give permission to do so. LL also have separate "weapons testing sandbox" for testing weapons. Also here you need to ask peoples permissions before attacking them. It is unlikely that HUD games bother anyone, but some games rezzed in world might annoy people. For example if they are noisy. Common sense will help you figure out if the game is bothering nearby people. Welcome to SL. I hope you have plenty of fun years ahead of you. SL is very complex and confusing first, but you will figure it out.

I mainly drive on the roads. Rez area is very nice thing to have. Usually it is enough to leave unused prims for just one vehicle (32prims). But border crossings are getting better and better all the time. Maybe some day we get more vehicle users. Autoreturn on the vehicle rez area dont need to be long. One or 2 minutes is enough to rez a vehicle and sit on it. Object entry is not needed since seated objects ignore that flag. But then again, no real reason to limit object entry anyway. If you make some paved road from LL road to your rez/parking area. Try to make it nice looking. Most of the LL road textures are in the library. And if there is some kind of wall between the road and your parcel, instead of building a ramp over the wall, send a ticket as "linden parcel issues" and ask a linden to remove piece of the wall so you get nice road access. The linden who read tickets in this category usually respond to the tickets in one or 2 days. I rarely fly vehicles but when i do, i usually travel around 600m altitude. I land on the ground but could also land on floating platform if it is provided to me. Not sure if floating platform would be used much. Everybody travel at different altitudes and would be silly to have platform in all altitudes. If you make floating platform, make sure it is high enough so it is not ruining the view of your neighbors.

Well. Was it the typical freebie zombie rezzer that 99.9999999999999% of time is only used to grief the sim? The one that rez laggy zombies that attack everyone in the sim? Was it rezzing faster than you could kill the zombies? Since the freebie thing is mostly used to grief everyone in the sim, people get allergic to it and are annoyed by it very easily. Also anything that create large amout of lag get people annoyed. I think you and them were both doing something wrong. Get less laggy targets to test your weapon next time and it will be fine.

Blue eyes are common in many parts of RL europe and non-native-america. I have heard that in many other parts of the world people have trouble taking us seriously (often without realising the reason themsefs) because we have baby eyes. I have green eyes in RL and SL. In SL the iris is full bright so at dark im exeptionally pretty. Prim eyes were one of the very first things i built in SL. I always wear prim eyes to be able to have them glow in the dark. Usually human eyes, sometimes cat eyes or animated hypnotoad eyes.

Kids never come to visit me at halloween... They skip my house. Maybe it is cause my house is old and not in best condition. Looks like haunted house all year round. And the lady who live in the house with her cat has black hair, black lipstick and nails, and black woolen dress. Maybe i should get old fashioned broom and a pointy hat to finish the look.

In SL i always have summer in my home. But some trees i keep in autumn colors just to bring more different colors to my forest. In RL i like the colors on the trees and harvesting stuff from my garden. I have already harvested lots of catnip seeds and morning glory seeds. And morning glories are still flowering so more seeds on the way. RL autumn also make me lil bit sad. It means winter is coming. I like winter, but here in finland it is way too long. In my panic i have wild plans. Im tempted to buy some modern growlights and keep growing stuff indoors trough the winter. idk

No panic. Library items are not really part of your inventory. They are stuff that is available to us all. You cannot delete anything in library. Just close the library folder and ignore it. If you dont want to see library, there is some trick to prevent you from seeing it. Someone can tell you the trick, i cant remember. Linden dollar balance going to negative is usually caused by that you are member in some group that owns land and is set to show in search. This cost lil bit of money. And depending of the group settings this money is collected only from specific people or from everyone in the group.

Render metadata works. Thanks Hovertips seem to only show the object name. How i get it to show the rest of the information without griefing the vehicle by slecting it? What is Starlight Skins? Some TPV? And how i make the viewer show secondlife:///app links in true form so i can copy paste them and they stay clickable? Thanks. Found the way to set sun to default. Here is on screen chat of v3. It dont let me grab the corner to adjust the width. Here is v1 object hovertip. Enabling hints in v3 dont seem to enable this feature for me. v3 Help browser cant find any info about hovertips or hints. Here is v1 info displays. I need them. I found a way to enable WASD style movement from v3. But cant find the setting to close chat by hitting enter. Now i need to click ground every time after typing or i cant walk. Still trying to figure out the settings for shared media. Lil difficult to see the difference of parcel media and shared media in the preferences. But i found some very long web page that should explain it to me.
