  1. Does anyone know of ANY services still allowing you to sell and withdraw your lindens to paypal besides LindeX? -.- Really not looking forward to playing the waiting game with my money from now on... :(
  2. That would be kind of hard for merchants with high volume of customers.... Caspervend vendors did offer options to pay with credit card or paypal but now that's not working..
  3. I just read that blog, does make sense and I HOPE that is why LL has changed things and not just to get more money out of us. It still sucks tho! lol Really feel bad for those who are not in the USA and can not utalize paypal for transfers
  4. lol I'm trying just a bit scared... This is going to hurt many people's RL income... I know it's definately going to affect mine
  5. Here's all I have to say about this.... Dear Linden Lab, **bleep** YOU! I can't transfer lindens through the services that put it RIGHT in my paypal? I have to wait for yalls bull**bleep** service where I MIGHT get it in a WEEK!??? Yall realize people LIVE off our SL income? And now im pretty much **bleep**ED! So that's GREAT. Thank you Linden Lab ill be applying for a job with wizards of the coast this evening if I get it I'M DONE. Sorry but I can't have my family depend on my Second Life stores as our ONLY current income if LL is going to pull some **bleep** like this like I AM CRYING right now.... idk what we're going to do now honestly...
  6. Yes, I have 10 lucky chairs full of FREE full perm clothing templates. I know a few other full perm creators also have chairs and midnight boards with templates in them too. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/The%20Eternity/150/152/23
  7. Yes, the link in the above comment is exactly where you should go for blender! Also, on that site you will find Avastar which is a good way to start rigging and weighting! There is also a program called Marvelous Designer which is an AMAZING tool that simulates mesh by basically creating the UV maps/clothing pattern for the mesh. There are lots of tutorials on marvelous designer on youtube aswell. I have a few but they are mostly speed creation videos havent gotten around to doing an ACTUAL tutorial yet http://www.youtube.com/user/AngelREDCouture GOOD LUCK! <3
  8. I believe I have a how to make skirt prims tutorial on my youtube --> https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/46889 If not you will want to make a prim on the groun, make it a cylindor, hollow it out and cut it in the edit menu so it's half a cylindor and thin... Then make a second one and link them together. Take that into your inventory, attach it to the pelvis. It will look all kinds of crazy From there you'll want to click edit linked parts and find the one you want to be the front and put it where you want it exactly and do the same for the butt. These peices are usually best when pushed into the body a little bit, not too much tho because you don't want it all sticking out of your legs and **bleep** when you dance or walk! As for texturing the prims I am lazy for shorts I would open up the PSD file and merge all layers (or just save te TGA/PNG if there is one) Select the part on the template where your prim would be, (crotch area with a little leg) (butt area with a little leg) Make a new image for this selection, use the clone tool to mix the leg part with the crotch area for the prim, however looks best to you yah know. Do the same for the butt. upload em, click to edit your prims, click edit linked parts and then add the front texture to the front and the back to the back and if you want to adjust the texture while on the prim you can do that in the texture edit menu while in edit mode. Hope that helped!!! good luck <3
  9. You can check out my youtube, I don't really have alot of how to use full perm mesh stuff tho But, I do have a tutorial on how to make the meshes show YOU as the creator without uploading the DAE files in world.. And many videos on texturing clothing for SL. Other than that I always suggest prowling youtube!!! I learned EVERYTHING I do in SL for my store from youtube! Most times you can find some really good tutorials on there! Good luck with your business!! <3 http://www.youtube.com/user/AngelREDCouture/videos?view=0&flow=grid angelredcouture.com
  10. I don't rent shops if that's what you're looking for But I am a full perm seller it would be helpful to know what you are looking for tho.
  11. The thing is, not everyone's alt is their alt. As a full perm seller I have spent the last year fighting against a group of people who copybot and buy peoples full perm items and post them for all to get for free. THIS is what we do not want to happen. As full perm sellers, if you are SERIOUS about your business you most likely DO have a statement about the use of alts or transfering to other avatars to sell. Because, I don't know if little timmy over there IS in fact YOUR alt. It could be your friend, or whatever with a totally different store. But, many people do this, weather it's for an honest reason or not. I am even guilty of doing this! I own another store which is a non full perm mesh clothing store that I have to run on my alt because I don't want it mixed with the full perm side of my store on the marketplace. But, It's full name is: Simplecandy by: AngelRED Couture. So you see that and say oh yeah I know her, it's the same person. Same with my AngelRED Boutique, another line of non full perm stuff. But, I DO contact full perm creators out of respect since I am one and I DO understand. I have never had one tell me I could not transfer to my alt and sell on my alt after speaking with them EVEN if it's in their toss. And I am the same way.. If you come to me and talk to me, tell me your situation I WILL work with you! I think most serious full perm sellers are the same. I know and talk to many of them, we do NOT bite! hahahah I do always appreciate someone coming and asking me about something they are not sure about in my tos rather than going out and selling my **bleep** as full perm and then pleading ignorance.
  12. That tool sounds very interesting but a little too envadish .. I wouldnt want to do that to my customers watching their every move with the item they bought but that's just me.. For me I have found that offering your customers the option to purchase an extended liscense which allows them to use your products with their alot or business partners is very helpful and many people are very honest and willing to purchase it. While of course there are others out there who do not. My business has become very large over the years so it get's harder and harder to control things. I do PROWL the marketplace at least once a week making sure no one is selling any of my items with full perms. Those that do sell my items with full perms get a 24 hour warning before I start faxing out DMCA's against them. As for alts and passing your full perm stuff around to others... You need to keep a log of ALL your customers. This log is simply a list of people who have purchased from your either in world or on marketplace. It is best to start this list EARLY in a business, I didnt start mine until about 6 months in and it took HOURS getting all the names... I add new names to my list once a week. It's a big PAIN but it's important if you plan on running a true business with full perms. When someone buys an extended liscense they are applying for their alt/business partner to become apart of this customer list. Once the person is on the list they are safe from any of my questioning, or dmca filings. Other than that it's just important to keep an eye out. It get's harder and harder as your business grows with more purchases and customers but go through your list weekly and soon names will become familiar, you may not know them or really know their store but youll be able to spot someone selling your items that you have never seen them buy before. Also, another BIG concern that I don't think many full perm creators realize is the use of their products on OTHER GRIDS. If you wish to keep the use of your items in the Secondlife grid ONLY, this needs to be stated in your TOS and you can also offer a more expensive extended liscense that will allow the person to use your items as non full perm on another grid. My liscenses are very cheap.. 500L for the alternative avatar liscense and 2500L for the off grid use. But, I have seen another store sell theirs for 7,000L and like 12000L for off grid use. So, it's all up to the creator as is everything else. I hope all this helps you and if you need any help with anything just holler at me in world <3
  13. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHA This just made my NIGHT oh snaps
  14. I didnt read everyone elses comments on this but personally I say YES Warn people!! There are so many scams when it comes to custom work that I rarely even bother with it. I'm a creator so I'm on the other side but I've heard so many stories about the person requesting the work not paying the other half after the work is done that's why I do a demo system with customers but anywaaays if a "creator" is screwing over customers then they do NOT deserve the right to be considered a creator. PERIOD. that's just my 2 cents..
  15. Actually, I'm on the new firestorm and the one before this new one never did this to me -.- maybe I should step back a release lol
  16. Oh yeah true true I'll just edit them out then I guess lol I usually just use the clone stamp, it works really well for it, it's just a pain in the ass lolol
  17. Ah okay! Thank you for your reply! I use Firestorm so I can use my custom windlight presets I have I guess ill try it without the high res and see how that does but ty glad it's not just a me thing
  18. Okay so, I really LOVE taking photos with the shadows enabled, as do most I assume. My problem is, for whatever reason I tend to get these lines, usually one through the neck area all the way across the picture then one going vertical on the right side of the picture.. It's not a BIG deal but it can be annoying to have to edit that out every single picture. ... I had this problem before and for some reason it stopped doing that after awhile and only here lately it's started doing it again! Any suggestions on how to get these lines to stop coming up on every picture I take with shadows enabled?? :(( Ooo I found a picture that I took the other day, unedited so yall can see these lines I'm talking about :D Any suggestions are truly appreciated!!! ty <3
  19. Welcome to the end of your real life!! haha jk! So happy to see you made it here and hopefully some people can help you along the way!! <3
  20. I actually made a big blog post on my website about this and the thought of people using alts to get MORE bonus lindens came up and that's a VERY good point, but they could make it like IMVU, make it so the bonus linden amount can not be gifted to anyone else or transfered. idk if your bored read my post it explains what's in my head lolol http://angelredcouture.com/2013/02/14/linden-lab-valentines-day-gift/
  21. You make a really good point! I hadnt thought of the partnering costs and that totally makes sense! On a different subject though, here is something that I've been thinking for a very long time. IMVU offers "bonus credits", they are credits you can use to shop and whatever but you can not transfer them out to your paypal or retain any RL currency from them. WHY WHY WHY has Linden Lab not implimented this in Second Life!?? I think this would be a WONDERFUL way to get new players to STAY longer and help them get a good start on creating their avatar or decorating a house. Now, yes yes of course you get some lindens weekly when you are a premium member and that's great, but for the most part, all the new players that I know (besides my mother -.-) are not going to sign up for premium right off the bat! So, I think LL should offer every single new sign up with 1000BL (Bounus Lindens). Make that currency strictly play money with no RL transfer and I think this would EXTREMELY raise SL's population and even make them some more money along the way, because when you have 1000L's and you fill your lil marketplace cart up with all your goodies you want and your a couple hundred linden short more people are likely to purchase some more lindens then they are going to subscribe to the premium service. That's just my two cents.
  22. Very true, I do think this is great for new users especially! I know when I was new I would have been really excited about even 10L's in my account.
  23. So, for those of you who did get the Valentine's Day gift, you may know by now that the gift was 10L's free from Linden Lab... Thoughts and opinions? Personally I find it just insulting lol but I do realize that not everyone in SL is making alot of money so for them hopefully this gift was appreciated. :P EDIT: I've made a big giant blog post on my website after seeing what you all had to say and it gives my theory on the idea of LL offering bonus lindens, a currency that is not rl money but only play money, much like IMVU does. The idea of people using alts to get extra play money came up tho, and that's a very good point! But, imvu makes it were you can not give another avatar bonus credits, only the normal credits can be given away so anyways here's my post for those who need a good read lol <3 http://angelredcouture.com/2013/02/14/linden-lab-valentines-day-gift/
  24. The free gift was 10L's -..............................................- Sorry you missed out on such a wonderful vday gift (sarcasim) lolo l
  25. Okay, what I suggest was a bit harsh and what I meant by it was not to ignore every new store, but these stores popping up out of nowhere selling these very expensive meshes that just look AMAZING, almost TOO amazing for SL... Those are the ones I would def be weary of, ask for a demo, check to make sure they have payment on file and they are a seasoned avatar and all that. I just HATE to see this happen to people over and over again -.- It's getting really old and for many of us sl isnt just play money, its RL money and getting played like that can really hurt the pocket.
