I haven't tried that yet. I should download Firestorm to rule out a Viewer issue.

No, it's not a freebie. The sellers store name is called !! SPLENDEURS !!. I buy several outfits from them. The shorts come with prim cuffs and prim pockets. I removed them lastnight, but that wasn't the issue, so I removed the shorts and that fixes the issue until I put them on again. Maybe I'll drop the creator/owner an IM/Notecard.
-
As far as I can remember, it onlly happens with this short. It never happened with these particular shorts though.

Sorry if this is a duplicate post. I noticed when putting on certain shorts that my calfs are huge. Is their a way to resolve this issue? I tried clearing cache, then relogging in. Hi wildcat, I was at your sim yesterday and it is so beautiful. I always enjoy visiting sims where I can just go and relax. It is very peaceful. I also visited the Cigar Yachts sim because I really liked the yacht you had rezzed. I'm thinking about purchasing that Aqua cigarette speedboat for the 1/4 sim I plan on purchasing sometime. Would appreciate any advice you have on landscaping. I'm currently on a 4096sqm beach sim and in my opinion and it doesn't look very appealing compared to the pictures on this thread. Very talented residents. Have a nice day, Frank

Hi, Amore! I belong to a group that is very active with it's members. They carry alot of photography equipment. I'm not sure if we are allowed to mention the name though. I might be wrong though, but if you want send me a message in-world and I will gladly help you. From looking at your Photostream it seems like you do a great job. I really like the lighting in them and the compsition is really good. Maybe you can set up your portfolio in a small shop (like a skybox) or mention a little in your profile, your picks or create a group just for doing what you want to do. Do you mind if I add you as a Contact on flickr? I do some photography as well. Frankie

I forgot to remove the extra http:// Flickr - Photostream

I've only gotten the horizontal/vertical lines at the top and sides. I decided to just upload it to flickr. If you would like to see my snapshots, that's the link. flickr Photostream (I hope)

Hello, Ceka. It happens after I hit the refresh button (after I get the right angle, composition/rule of third just the way I like). I figured I could just crop the image until a friend suggested to just re-snap it.
-
Thank you, Charlotte. I will take your advice as soon as I upgrade the hardware. The graphics are set on low with just local lights checked off -- good FPS though
-
I was going to crop the image, but a friend said to just re-snap the picture. I usually shoot at 1600x1200 or a bit below.

I am in the process of upgrading my graphics, power supply and fan. I could look for a decent 23" flat screen. I'm currently using a 20" that come with my computer. In the meantime, I will check on the antialiasing while snapping pictures. Thanks for the friendly reply.

My apologies everyone, I completely forgot about this thread I started.

Another thing I noticed after updating to 2.8 lastnight was the Landmark folders, including sub-folders were all expanded upon Login. Does anybody have this problem? I tried collapsing the folders, but all that does is collapse all the menus (My Landmarks, My Library, My Inventory, etc) I wonder if LL is aware of this or should I submit a ticket in hopes that it'll get fixed with the next update.

What are the specs on your PC? I might just upgrade my power supply then. What do I have to keep in mind when shopping for power supplies? I am on an HP Pavilion (desktop) with an 8 GB HD and AMD Phenom x4. Is there such a thing as too much power?

Good info. My SL Viewer looks visually horrible, but as long as I can move without lag I'm happy....for now. Thanks
-
Ok, so I just installed the latest version of the SL Viewer and I noticed when going to the Graphics tab, I am now able to activate the Lighting & Shadows features, but the Viewer is running extremely slow...atleast a 3 second delay when pointing over things, and don't get me started on walking *damn wall* lol. My question is why am I able to activate those features with this version and not with the previous 2 versions? My FPS was like 6.2, but after turning off every feature, moving the slider to Low, set my Draw Distance to 256 and Particle Count to max (8192 I think), the FPS shot up to 15.0. I've been on another thread here getting advice on a new graphics card. I've been doing research on the GeForce GT 440, 430 and 520 which are within my power supply wattage (300 W). I may upgrade that so I can get the GTX 560 Ti. Your thoughts?
-
Thanks for that good info. Is the System Requirements page up to date? Seems like some of the video cards (NVIDIA) listed are outdated.
-
Thanks, I will take a look at those sites.
-
I was looking at the GeForce GTX 550/560 Ti until I found out I would need to upgrade to a higher watt power supply. Are those 2 models pretty high end? Any recommendations? I am on a HP Pavilion with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, an AMD Phenom II X4 processor, 8.00 GB of RAM (7.74 GB usable) and currently an ATI Radeon 4200 HD card. The computer is a little over 2 years old.
-
Ok, I researched the specs on the GTS 450, and it seems like I would need to upgrade my Power Supply as well (currently 300w). The Minimum Recommended System Power is 400 W, while the Maximum Graphics Card Power is 106 W for the above model. I call NVIDIA support and the guy says GeForce GT 430/400 fall into what I'm looking for since the Power Supply on my PC is 300 W. How good are those cards? Can I still install the GTS 450 without problems?
-
For someone who is in the market for a new graphics card, this is a great post. My destop is currently running an ATI Radeon HD 4200. I'm just looking for a graphics card that will support the newest graphics (lighting/shadows) and/or chose to run in ultra. I have never had issues with NVIDIA, so I will be shopping around online. Is the GTX 450 the best option? I know nothing about PC hardware.

Hello everyone, I have a bit of a problem. I noticed about 2-3 weeks ago that textures, objects, etc are disappearing/reappearing as I turn. I usually clear cache once a week. It happens anywhere I teleport, including my home. I removed/reinstalled SL, but it doesn't fix the issue. Is this a SL Viewer bug or have I clicked/changed changed settings that I shouldn't have? I can't think of anything I might've touched though. Any advice will be very helpful. Thanks in advance.
