  1. 3pm-5pm SLT SATURDAY 16th August Talented Caffeine Nights proprietor Anouk Koray has designed and built a 3D replica of the Willow Pattern and we invite you to dress up in appropriate oriental garbs and join us for a dance inside the willow pattern with lively asian fusion music provided by global beats DJ, G Winz. The classic Willow Pattern was first designed by Thomas Minton in 1799 after England stopped importing china from China. The blue and white landscape was subsequently popularised by Josiah Spode at his Staffordshire pottery, from whence it found its way around the world. There is some debate as to whether the fable behind the scene is originally Chinese or merely an English invention but it is an engaging story that is illustrated with.common elements: a willow tree, an orange or apple tree, two birds, people on a bridge, a fence, a boat and a pagoda teahouse. Join the groups 'Caffeine Nights' and/or 'G-Winz Electro-swingers' in world for more information or watch this space for a landmark nearer the time.

  3. If you are in an are where people are constantly arriving this will happen for everyone, regardless of rig. Lowering Draw Distance to minimum in busy places is essential. How is it when you go to a quiet sim?
  4. Jaylin Wytchwood wrote: I tried another clone lastly, Inworldz.. a whoooooping 123 People online... whow.. great. An still you hear from the next super-new mini network now and then, who has "That great Idea".... As long as every developer does its own world, they are bound to fail. If all the Open Grid clones band together in 1 big alternate grid, then. maybe then they could even begin to nibble om SL`s heels in size. Haven't found the relatively low concurrency Inworldz to be a problem - I've made more good friends there in two months than I did in SL in two years. They don't publish the total regular users but it's estimated to be over 7000 .. so enough variety to keep me happy - you just have to keep an eye on the events calendar. The answer I'll give to the OP is that Second Life's USP is a massive concurrency, Avination's is gambling and Inworldz' is strong community ethics, free uploads and a comparatively generous prim allowance (even renting a small parcel, it feels unlimited).
  5. Sometimes just changing one item of clothing works.
