And you can link other mesh/prims to it, such as flowers, butterflies, whatever. Which is one reason mesh clothing creators dont want their creations MOD. They had a vision of their creation, they dont want someone messing with it. If you want to mod clothing, make your own or buy full perm kits.

We have high end creators using a 1024 texture on a doorknob. The likelihood of this causing more lag is extremely high.

Would you mind explaining why you single me out when others made the SL vs RL comparison as well?

I despise the comparison between RL and SL when it comes to goods. Yes you can do anything you want to your brand new kitchen cabinets. Paint them 25 colors, take a chain saw to them and rearrange them. Install them upside down so they fall off the wall randomly and break. Oh look, my SL kitchen is mod so i can do all that in SL as well. The big difference is that you can get a new copy of your items in SL. Home Depot will laugh you out of the store if you tried in RL. Stop comparing the two. This complaint keeps popping up. How about you try talking directly to the merchants in question? Most of them aren't here. Blueberry sells their clothing NO Mod. One of the biggest stores in SL. They dont seem to have any issues.

I highly doubt he will answer on a weekend. . They weren't unhelpful, they were truthful. LL can NOT legally give no transfer items from one user to another without the creators approval. No amount of pinging a Linden will change that.

That's the question, what will happen in the near future? No one can answer that but a LL employee.

You posted that you heard about the acquisition and immediately jumped on the Caspervend website and tried to plug in your SL name and password for SL as you thought they would be part of LL already and your LL info would work.

And you were told that it couldn't be done that way as THATS NOT HOW THAT WORKS. A backup is exactly what Rolig said. It rolls the sim back to a specified date. EVERYTHING on the sim goes back how it was on that date. I do not believe they can do just a parcel, which means everyone's stuff rolls back to that date. So if I had spent hours landscaping and building, all of a sudden all of my work would be gone. Hence why LL is very cautious about doing rollbacks. I'm sorry to have to point this out, but you spout off time and time again with these ideas that just cant be done. You seem to think that things are as simple as pushing a button or flipping a switch. Such as the acquisition of Caspervend, you came off as believing that it would be integrated within a few hours. It takes months to integrate one business into another. Even if they are the same type of company. I worked for a debt collection office, we bought the smaller office next to ours and it took almost half a year to integrate their accounts with ours.

I'm wondering if the caspertech vendor will be integrated to the MP. As in, make a listing and it will appear in the vendor as well. personally, i prefer the caspertech way of adding items to the vendor.

Ok.. A bare butt isn't considered General content. It is considered Nudity. According to the MP guidelines you cant show any nudity in G or M settings, it must be set to adult. The new forum guidelines also say nudity is only allowed in the Adult section. Perhaps they just haven't started cleaning up or moving older threads yet. Or posts made before the new guidelines are grandfathered in, but new posts must be in the correct section. Why is it such an issue to be proactive about this? Why are you so dead set that things will stay the same even though there are new rules?

If there isnt clothing on it, its nude... How could you possibly say a bare body part isnt nude? Thats like the definition of nude. Just because something WAS ok, does not mean it still is under the new guidelines. Nudity and adult content is NOW allowed only in the adult section.
