    I want to be excited by this. I do. However, I can't, and here is why. This is going to be great for small store owners and maybe couples where one person is premium plus. However, you can't apply your tier to this, so you're still paying the full price minus the full region. I would like to see EVERYONE, not just prime+, be able to own homesteads without needing to own a full region. I've always abhorred the idea that you'd need to own a full region to own a homestead. I think, and this is just me looking at it without the backside info on land sales, that if LL were to open homesteads, and something smaller like the small personal islands with a linden home that you can bid on at the Relay for Life events, to EVERYONE, they might find that brings in more money than this idea. I mean, think of it. You have people who pay 4 or 5 (or more) premium accounts and have multiple Bellisseria homes. I'd bet that if you'd offer some archipelago islands connected water way to the Bellisseria continent with single homes for premium plus members for a smaller fee, folks would jump all over that.

    I wonder if there is a way to make a listen script to put in a hinge that the wreath is attached too, when the door opens, the listen script would hear that and make the wreath move too.

    Coming back to add. Some of you seem to be upset that Linden Labs and Tillia have to charge fees. Some of these are for business and development, but many of these are government banking regulations that LL cannot just thumb their noses at. The US govt could and WOULD shut them down if they did not follow banking regulations.

    I think this is great. I remember when the owner of HippoVend disappeared and folks were left hanging with vendors and rental service that no longer worked. There were many people that were quite upset when that happened. This should help prevent that from being an issue in the future.

    I'm cautiously optimistic to see how this pans out. I really like the idea of making the task of listing vendor to MP more streamlined. There are parts of the MP and Caspervend that merged together would make such a wonderful experience.

    Premium Plus and Linden Homes

    Here is what I would like to see with premium plus:

    1. Multiple Marketplaces per 1 account. Having to use alts to run multiple marketplace stores is a pain in my ass. I hate, loathe, really truly do not like having to juggle multiple accounts.
    2. Increased tier
    3. Increased stipend (though honestly, if you can afford premium plus, the stipend is just a perk more than anything. Most people who can afford premium plus or multiple memberships is not hurting for lindens)
    4. Sure, increased groups, too, I guess. Though that is problematic because group chat goes haywire and quits working often, which is why I think so many groups have moved to 3rd party services. I don't see a point in more groups that don't work. When they work, it's great, but this multi-week chat issue, and maybe it's for larger groups, needs to be addressed. I'm sure it's already being addressed, but… this is my biggest annoyance with SL.
    5. Multiple Homes per account. 2, not like 3 or 4, just 2. 2 homes.

     

    Other things I'd like to see added/fixed in general:

    1. group chat
    2. mobile viewer
    3. Welcome Newbie area island added to Bellisseria
    4. Functioning but exclusive to premium, or maybe premium plus members, a sandbox connected to Bellisseria, so that builders can work together while staying in Belli.
    5. Premium Membership Shops done up like Bellisseria. Highly decorated and HOA store land with like 5 different stores per parcel to choose from. So it's all pretty, and linden patrolled.

    As someone who has bought multiple run down foreclosures and fixed them up to live in, I so understand this. The house could be, in its original form, nothing that I much care for. However, with some changes here, some paint there, it blossoms into something that I love. I liked the original reveal, but the second one is out of this world fantabulous.

    That could be super neat. Add that in with the Mole Cave that showed a timeline of SL. Put in one of each of the old premium homes with a few decoration bits from their "time" and have a sort of museum region folks could explore.

    Trick or Treat Event FYI

    I'm not surprised that rules had to be revisited for an event like this. This is the first Trick or Treat event by LL. There are always a few bumps in the path the first time around with events.

    Look at Blizzard, they planned an event that is literally used as case study for epidemiologists now. Where some people found a way to almost completely break the game. Completely unintended consequences happens sometimes. Having to add rules, or patch something in, is completely normal.

    Without the list and the Belli pin, I would surely have much less.

    Makes me wonder how many "serious" hunters there are. Most go around for fun or give up, I assume.

    I dunno, I mean, that's cool if you think about it. That means people aren't relying solely on the list or pins. They're actually out there searching on their own. That is HUGE! Bellisseria is a massive continent. People are out there working to find their candies. I love that.

    If there really are over 800 people who are participating by putting out pumpkins, that is kinda exciting!

    I'm currently at 557 collected, and I'm still searching. Slowly, slowly, working a grid pattern as I fly slow and low, trying to stay in the public areas between homes as I search the regions.

    I'm enjoying the hunt. I love seeing all the Halloween decor. I've come across several homes while on the search who aren't participating that have amazing Halloween decor. It's just been such a fun way to get out and explore. I LOVE Halloween. It's my favorite holiday so this is just so cool. 

     

    I'm disappointed to hear that some are using orbs that ban people automatically. I believe those are against the covenant.

    I have had more fun out exploring Belli looking for the candies. I've found several neat places that I hadn't ever seen before and a few more that I've stopped and explored or taken photos. So many amazingly photogenic places in Belli <3. And I've thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the fun Halloween decor. Thank you for putting this together for us.

    Isn't Horizon's privately owned land? LL owns the city areas but the actual parcels were sold to users weren't they?

    I LOVE the idea of a mid-century modern home in Belli. OMG, yes, please! And yes, we know there are some older homes in the older areas but those are going to be phased out. I lived  in one back in the day. I liked it but the older home zones are missing several things that make Bellisseria so spectacular. Less prims per parcel (unless that changed), less of the region decor we all love, and they're not nearly as pretty as the new mesh homes. They're also very claustrophobic with how on top of each other they are in the older areas. And I think you didn't get much choice in your design if I remember right. They were great for back then but they aren't on the same level as Bellisseria homes, IMO.

    • Am I allowed to have parties on my houseboat?  (eg a houeboat warming) If so - is there a limit to numbers?    (and if so how do i stop people crashing any paries on my houseboat?)
       
    • And am I allowed to play music on my houeboat (and if so can others hear it nearby?  I don't want to be the noisy neighbour!)
       
    • Can I allow other people to stay or live with me? (friends I mean?)
       
    • Do i have to accept that others may just enter my houseboat when i am not there - and use it - and thats just the way it is?
       
    • Anyone know if I can buy and moor an actual boat at my houeboat - and if so, any ideas where I could buy one?
       
    • Whenever I am in my houseboat - does that mean I am invisible to people outside of it?

    If anyone knows the answers - or can link me to where they exisit, that would be great.

     

    Some of this is covered in the covenant for your home. You can find that in your world - about land  tab. Super glad to see folks took the time to answer your questions but don't forget to check the covenant too. That will help you learn quite a bit about rules the Lindens have for their premium homes.
