My avatar appears partly invisible. I have trieed using anouther account that I have, but that avatar appears in the same way. I have also tried uninstalling the Second Life viewer and installing it again, but still no luck. This screenshot shows what my avatar is looking like; http://imgur.com/AFINp Can anyone help?

I applied for the capabilities and was accepted. I first tired the form without limiting to an estate and that worked fine, so the capabilities are working and letting me sign people up, its just that it is not recognising my Estate ID when I try to limit to estate.

I am currently trying to use the RegAPI to accept new SL sign ups that will be locked to an estate that I own. I have recently got the basics of the RegAPI working, the ability to fill out a form on my own web site that then creates a Second Life account for that new user. When using the RegAPI and using the option 'limited_to_estate' the field needs to be a number, the estate ID. I have found my estates ID by viewing the God Tools window in the SL Viewer, but when I use this number, adding it using a hidden field in the web form, I get the error 'Limited estate cannot be set to an estate does not exist'. Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

I am trying to find out the estate ID of my estate, but having problms. The only thing I have found so far in a SL Wiki is: "You can get the numeric estate ID via the debug menus (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D to enable them). Then use Client > View Admin Options." However, this must be for Viewer 1, as it does not match up at all for Viewer 2. In the Develop menu I have found Show Admin Menu, but it is greyed out and will not let me select it. Any ideas how I can find the estate ID out?

I read this, which partly makes me belive that they have sorted out the new version of the Reg API, to use single usernames, however, then looking further into it there is no confirmation of this - API examples, etc. still show it working with First names and Surnames, not Usernames. I was wondering if SL have updated the API yet and that it will now working with usernames?

Some time ago I asked the question if SL's Reg API was still in operation - the short answer was no. However, after coming across this article http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Teens_in_Second_Life I am wondering if it is back up and working. I think the problem last time was to do with SL switching from First name and Surname to a Username and the API not supporting a single username. I am an owner of an estate and would like to offer access to just 13-15 year olds and from http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Teens_in_Second_Life this seems the way to do it. Is anyone else alowing this age group to access their land, signing up for a SL account off their own web site?

Just tested this and other people can chnage the URL, and go to anouther web site, anyway of stopping this?

May seem a simple thing, but it is starting to puzzle me. All I want to do is display a web page on a prim, to be more precise a Goodle Calendar. I have managed to get part of it to show (its cutting the bottom off and I dont know why) and its not interactive, e.g. I cant click to chnage months. Anybody got any ideas how to show the Google Calendar, on a prim, that can be interacted with e.g. people can scroll through the months.

After clearing my cache and spending 1 hour in the region in question (it is my own region and I was the only avatar in there at the time), I had used about 200mb of data. This does seem a little high to me. I know the first visit will be higher and less will bne used next time has a cache gets built up.

I was wondering if anyone had any rough statistics of the amount of data SL downloads? For example I mainly visit the same region which is close to its 15,000 prim limit with a high level of detail. I also have the draw distance set to max and streaming media turned on (there is streaming media within this region). I do visit other areas, but this would be the main one. For a Internet connection where the data usage is set at 15GB per month, would I ever hit this limit? How many hours would it take to hit this limit?

The two things that spring to my mind are to tyurn the graphic detail down in the preferences window in the Viewer, the other one is to just make sure that nopthing else is running on the computer, no other programms and only the essential programms running in the background.

I dont quite know what I have done but my avatar has gone invisiable. All I can see are objects that are attached to my avatar, hair and shoes, items of clothing or skin/shape are not visiable at all. If I try to edit my appearance, to change shape, my avatar appears grey. The shape is visiable and chnages when I move the sliders but the texture are all wrong. The images shown in the edit menus are just grey with a grey band across.

Where did you read this? Been trying to find out that is happening to the Reg API. Any sign of it coming back?
