Ok! I finally completed it with a single prim left over, LOL. I went with a minimalist feel inside as I do enjoy a non-cluttered feel. It is tough working with only 351 prims but I think I did ok.

Gorgeous! That round hottub- awesome- where's that from? The whole place feels very serene.

  2. Maya's Architecture has some super budget friendly furnished homes (some only 50linden, most under 100)that are mod and copy and many of her plants and trees are T-spot and other good quality creators. If someone has the time to mess about rezzing them in a sandbox, unlinking, and organizing, it's a great resource for landscaping, furniture, decor, and architectural pieces.

I am so frustrated by the glued on terraces. I wanted to use a 1024, so I could get a pretty front, and I am so pleased with the front yard. On the other side of the house, I want to rip off the terrace and burn it. 😡 Perhaps I pull down the blinds and refuse to look out.

I know I don't like the dark textures so much, but my hate object 1 is the glued on terraces.

This is so gorgeous! I hate to bombard people with 'where'd you get the...", but where did you get the square accents?

Working on exterior of the Heaton.

Have no idea when interior will start. It's not my main house so I have time to think it through.

If anyone can guide me to where I can find an animated (water flowing) faucet/spigot of a fountain I'd be grateful. None of the fountains I own have the right type I'm looking for or I'd just take one of those apart.

I used the THS sphere water feature- it has a great sound. I made a courtyard in that middle space with the five windows & centered it there. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/THS-SPHERE-WATER-FEATURE-NATURAL-STONE-Sphere-fountain-ball-fountain-globe-fountain/21839556 I hope MP links are allowed- I never remember rules as well as I should. Someone yell at me if they aren't & I'll delete it.

I was teasing (tryng to lighten the mood.)  I lived in NC for several years and the Blue Ridge Mts in autumn cannot be beat.

Maybe you have seen Patch!  What a fun thought. 😊

I knew you were just teasing :) Our mountains are admittedly not the tallest, but you're right, they're beautiful. I've met a few people from my area and I always wondered if I've seen them in rl.

I haven't looked up the one in Georgia.  I imagine it is similar except the east coast doesn't really have real mountains...

We do too!! We're in the middle of the Blue Ridge. We even have one that looks like an old man- Grandfather Mountain. It's all of not quite 6000' tall. It's our tallest mountain. lol.

Helen is a nice little town. I've lived about an hour away from it for years. I'm lowkey wondering if I've seen Patch in person and never knew!

Whenever I see a profile that says "I'm outgoing, kind, generous, brave, trustworthy" etc. -- like they're in the Boy Scout handbook -- I instantly think "They must be the opposite".

I wonder what kind of self-regard one has to have to write these complicated profiles like "I'm very shy but given the right set of circumstances I can blossom like a flower" or "I'm a shape-shifter" blah blah -- what ARE they thinking? If you put "I'm a shape-shifter" I'm going to assume that you are a retired postal clerk in Columbus, OH lol.

One of my favourite profiles recently from an artist said very simply, "I'm here for me, not you." Boy, was that perfect! Perfect! If I weren't in business, I'd use that one.

I've seen a lot of great ones really, and then so many fake ones...

My favorite profile quote ever was 'I'm here because I'm not all there.'

I'm searching for a rental in a themed community. It can be anything from forest, to NYC, to beachy. Can be mixed with commercial areas. No skyboxes - I want to be part of a community.

Please share any places that you know of with me. Thank you!

I keep a room at the Chelsea Hotel. It's pretty active with music and live poetry readings if you're into that.

There is nobody around because there is literally nothing to see or do in Bellisseria.  That's because Bellisseria only has one purpose, a residential zone. There are no zones for shops or businesses.

Although you can't actually purchase anything from them, many residents have turned their homes into shops and cafes. There's a list of them in the notices in the Bellessaria citizens group. People gather at them and give a heads up in the group. There are also random parties at residents homes that get announced in the group. And there's the passports you get through the BBB (Bellessaria Bureau of Bureauracy) you can get stamps at various locations and at special events- it's pretty neat. The Bellessaria Travel club has a nice headquarters with free vehicles and their own group that meets to explore.

Aside from the resident owned spots, there are some Linden built pubs and 'resorts'.

    *snip*

24 Different neighbors, never one online when I was.
The only other possibility is that Bellisseria only comes to life during prime time of the American East coast. Then I'm seldom on.
But honestly I think Belli is a nicely decorated (chapeau for the Moles) but mainly empty continent.

Half of the owned houses and boats aren't even decorated or very sparsely.

SL is said to be a social platform, but there are a lot of introverted people using the platform if you ask me.
People who dream about socializing every now and then, but hardly do. Just like me.

You may be right about the East Coast- that's my time zone and I've had decent luck with neighbors and excellent luck with the Belli Citizens group. I'm keeping my Bellissaria house because I love it, but I recently got nostalgic for 'the old sl' and rented a place at the Chelsea Hotel. There were a couple of people at a gallery, one in Demimonde (furniture shop) and I met a lovely person who came over and we sat at my lil table, had coffee and a chat and became fast friends. It was lovely so now I have an apartment in the city AND a home in the burbs.

You're also right about the socializing- I spend way more time decorating and putting together outfits or trying to learn building techniques than I ever did going anywhere.

Nobody will notice if you do that with a friend, but forming groups........... that will not work in the end.

I see a couple of problems with it. The first being that most people will want the option to move or mod the things you rezz for them and to do that, you have to give them permission to move or mod ALL your things and that could certainly go wrong should you have a falling out. The other of course is if the group became large and popular enough to have creators complaining to LL about it and/or more creators making their items no copy and that would suck.

It happens already with certain groups giving everyone in the group rezz rights but having a group specifically dedicated to it does seem like it could raise issues.

That said, I do like the idea. I love decorating.
