  1. In no way whatsoever will Second Life ever be considered an "ok" fps platform in the gaming community. It's good for clowning around but that's it.
  2. Nah, it's not the same. I don't really know how to explain it. I'm seeing a lot of clothes for this body more geared toward gay people. There's nothing wrong with that, of course. But I can't see a straight guy casually rocking a crop top, ya know? Lol. You go walking around at Mancave and you just know a lot of the items are more gay centered. I'm not trying to be offensive or anything, there's nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying that there's stuff that's clearly made for that sexual orientation and with this body, so far, that's mostly all that's currently available and I hope there's just some more basic stuff made for it. Sorry if I offended anyone.
  3. Thank you. I'm glad at least one person understood what I was saying. Im hoping the body gets more creator support from bigger brands. It's more my body type than these bigger muscle bodies, it's just the style of clothes for it so far isn't my style. Will have to wait and see I guess.
  4. Is this a joke? I'm just wanting to know if there are jeans or shirts that don't show the midsection....because straight guys generally don't wear stuff like that but that's apparently all that's available for this body for now at least.
  5. Is there normal clothes for this body? All I've seen is a sweatshirt with rips which is fine. The baggy pants from crybunbun looks like plastic latex. Can we lay off the latex look and just have some normal fabric? I'm starting to realize though that this new body might not be meant for straight men from what I have seen so far which is a shame.
  6. Any male at any adult age can be super thin and completely healthy. Is this something that is just hard for you to believe?
  7. If anything, the Lindens should take notes from Discord and overhaul the entire groups, notecards, and notification system in SL.
  8. Well yeah for those with slower computers, I guess that would be faster.
  9. And you don't have to make sure you have $109 a month in your account to cover the maintenance fee? Do people not realize they can just click and buy Linden right from inside the viewer? It's instant.
  10. Dreamseeker has homesteads for even less than that. L$6099
  11. No. But I would expect the cost to at least be competitive with current land barron pricings if LL are going to do this. Because currently, the homestead I rent is cheaper so if I was PP, this benefit wouldn't benefit me at all. I mean, as long as there are cheaper options, it's not really a benefit is it?
  12. Well ok, it's a benefit. I don't see how increasing the cost is an enhancement. You save on the cost of a full sim but you're increasing the annual price over $1000 if you choose to get a homestead when you can just rent for cheaper. If you can rent for cheaper, what's the benefit?
  13. Usually when you have a subscription fee, you don't add to the cost and call it a perk. I see what you're saying but I stand by what I said.
  14. I'm sorry, I don't see how anything that adds cost to a subscription fee can be a perk.
  15. It really makes no sense. I guess the "perk" was removing the full sim rule but you're right, you can just rent for way cheaper.
  16. If you're paying annually + the homestead, it's about $1560. I think Linden Lab can do much better with their PP perks.
  17. Is the marketplace using a host that offers "unlimited bandwidth"?
  18. We already have been part of SL for quite awhile. So what is this "mindset" you're speaking of?
  19. I never said I hated Second Life. It just has one of the most toxic communities. Once upon a time I was very positive and I did enjoy my days in SL. Over time, that deteriorated dramatically to the point where it's no longer fun for me at least. Saying second life doesn't have life and is bland isn't a signal to the most devoted to rise and up and defend their precious virtual world. That's just my personal experience that has deteriorated since 2009. Yes, SL spiked in 2007 due to The Office episode and then it fell pretty fast after that too. It really hasn't been dramatically updated since. I don't even think it can be and that alone stagnants it and prevents growth. Making friends isnt exactly easy. Second Life is more or less treated as a giant date simulator. Many people, even on these forums in the Make Friends section, are leery and it shows. Roleplay? It's a joke. Most of it is sexual. Family RP is just crazy and full of dramatics and it's extremely hard to find a good RP sim. Someone was even asking where to find a RP sim that was Supernatural themed that was fantasy and not medevial themed (still no replies) which brings me to my next point.... ...Imaginative and creative. Its gone severely downhill. There was a time when SL was super creative but it's not what it used to be. It's just the same theme popping up. Anything that has to do with fantasy is given either a medieval or elven vibe. Werewolves and vampires are forever stuck to bloodlines. There's zero creativity beyond what's basic. Sure, people create amazing sims. But hardly anyone visits them so they don't last long. Photography and backdrops are the thing nowadays. Being a blogger grants access to free stuff and people love free stuff. The only thing keeping SL from completely drowning is shopping, playing dress up, and taking photos. It's not really about socializing and meeting people anymore. Maybe I'm just tired of the same old thing.
