  1. Hi Everyone, I am selling my mainland which is on the road side and also on a very large lake. Good neighbours all around and there is also a well established coffee shop from The Mainland Alliance across the road. There are some really great creators in this area so almost a garentee it will be a nice area to relax by the lakeside. Build comes with the land, currently it is setup as "The Lakeside, Lounge & Bar" and has been set to be sold with all objects. Please keep in mind some objects area linked across on the neighbours land (who are very friendly) to complete the shoreline. 8. Calling things "perks" when you're clearly paying for something is not a perk at all. It would be like buying a car without a drivers license to just look at it parked in the driveway. In this case buying a homestead but not having premium plus to access the sim. You just wouldn't do one without the other, it's moronic; hence not a perk but a requirement. ----- If it costs X amount to own a homestead then it should not matter if you have premium plus or not, things like this is what makes people dislike a lot of gaming companies that are just out for an extra dollar. ----- Just some insight as to why it bothers myself; When I can rent premium gaming servers for (around) $35 a month and Linden Labs says it costs $100~ for a homestead(lets not even mention the cost of a full region & variants ) but you also need premium plus is really just distasteful on their behalf. Yes you can argue more work goes into maintenance of each sim but as far as I know most of the sims run on Amazon servers now. More than likely having nice little UI's for dev's to upload new game data, restart servers and keep things running smoothly. Very, very similar to how 'premium game servers' work and at a third of the cost. Obviously it's not a equal comparison but I certain do not think Linden Labs is earning their money considering other aspects of the game are lacking (Eg. New content), so it does not justify this pricing structure. Providing updates so a game works smoothly is not content, providing new subscription plans or tier updates it not content, creation of more linden homes you could argue is content but certainly not "new". Really the only new thing I have heard about recently is the bento avatars and rumour of terrain texture updates for mainland which have been spoken about for years and never happened. Anyway bad of me to derail the thread so I'll end it there. End rant~
  9. Is this confirmed somewhere? Is this what happens when you own a full region sim and homestead; cancelling the full region sim automatically cancels the homestead too?
  10. Can I order a Homestead sim with Premium Plus, cancel my Premium Plus the following month and get a refund(for premium plus) while still keeping and paying the monthly Homestead fees?
  11. Pros 512sq for the lower budget players, hopefully increasing player time in world and commitment to the game. Reduced pricing for top tier players could mean a small increase in content development for players to explore around the SL world. Cons None as overall its a positive improvement to the game. No benefit for 3072 - 7168 tier players. Opinion This is a great improvement to the game but I honestly do not think it will have the effect they desire in the lower tier bracket of players. I think what is more likely to happen is players will drop from their Premium Subs down to Basic, saving a few dollars and also some just use their SL homes as a private wardrobe, 512sq or 1024sq is irrelevant to those select players, time will tell on that thought... Then there is the top tier players; overall this is a benefit to them. They save money and also have the possibility of gaining a small increase to their land and level out to what they were paying before. The temptation to further increase their land grab will also help level out any money lost if players do drop from Premium to Basic memberships. I imagine they decided not to offer any tier reductions for 3072 - 7168 because the profit increase on smaller parcels after 2048(from memberships) VS time customer service spends assisting these players would be a waste of time initially, hopefully this is something they decide to remedy quickly. It would be a smart play to add it in their next quarter to keep the money rolling in to make them look good on paper.
