[Do Linden home owners rent out - or where should I rent?]

Hello.  Can I ask if anyone knows the answers/suggestions to these questions please?

Does SL allow the renting out of Linden homes - and if so where can i find a list of Linden homes that people want to rent out.

OR can anyone suggest really exciting/vibrant places to rent privately.  Somewhere that has a bit of a community / events / buzz about it.  (I do find that the Linden Home areas although lovely, are a bit quiet?)

I'd ideally like to rent somewhere that has events  and hang outs - not only for people that live there, but for anyone - so haas a bit more traffic/activity going on, on my doorstep so to speak.

Anywhere know of anywhere like that?
