They're gathering a heck of a lot more than that, but even so, I consider them harmless in my sim as I imagine the worst they can do with the data is compiling market statistics on things like how many people are using which meshbody, or perhaps more accurate / interesting traffic statistics for virtual real estate purposes. Or maybe something much more nefarious! I have no idea. That said, on the topic of this thread, funnily enough I came across these products just this morning - I don't think it's against TOS to sell them, but to any that would use them, i'd say good luck defending it. LL seems to be pretty cut and dry about chat logging.

You absolute saint. I've been puzzling over how to update the advanced key packing algorithm on the wiki to use the new functions instead of the user-written hex/chr/ord functions for a few weeks now but it just wasn't clicking. I was able to fit 1800 keys into one script with that before it auto-halted due to having only one buffer's worth of memory left, but it was pretty noticeably slow given all the conversions going around. I bet this is like lightning in comparison. It's only two functions now. Gahd. Beyoutiful. Edit for addendum: Don't worry, I have no intention of storing that absurdly many keys. :b Just stress testing. Cheers!

SecondLife is something really special, and that's in no small part due to the work of you and the team. I can definitely understand needing to move on, or retire even, but I think with this last push for the cloud integration SL might actually survive long and well into the future. You'll be missed, but we all wish you the best!
