Creating an Event w/o Parcel Ownership
katiapfurtscheller posted a topic in General Discussion Forum
Hi I am hosting two live singers at a roleplay sim tomorrow. I want to create an event, however I do not own a parcel at the sim where the event is scheduled. This is because the event is at my bistro (which I am renting from sim owner) but is in the air and doesn't have a parcel. I have spent a lot of money on these singers, and I would like to open the event to wider SL community. Please help Thanks Jennifer -
Hi there, I need an interior designer/decorator for my home. Please contact me in world if you are interested (katiapfurtscheller) Thanks Jen

Cost to Move a Sim
katiapfurtscheller replied to katiapfurtscheller's topic in General Discussion Forum
I can understand the need to deter "I've changed my mind" type actions. You're right, a fee does ensure only the committed move. But the price is still disproportionate - it's $216 by today's rate. For something I guess costs them close to $0. -
I've been informed recently that if I purchase a sim, the cost to move it to an existing region is 50,000 lindens This seems really high. And I don't understand why they would charge 200USD for a simple move. What is the actual cost? 5 minutes of a Linden's time? Extortionate, or am I way off base?

Hi all, I have several vehicles (ambulance, fire truck, police cruiser), and buildings (downtown building, a couple of onsu houses, etc.) that I bought for a sim I was starting. As I am no longer involved in the sim, and have no use for these items, if anybody would like them (for free), please contact me inworld (katiapfurtscheller). Thanks, Jen

Did Second Life improve your Real Life?
katiapfurtscheller replied to Gopi Passiflora's topic in General Discussion Forum
Why is the question phrased past tense? -
My congratulations to Linden Labs on securing investment from JP Morgan. Undoubtedly, this is a vote of confidence in the Second Life virtual world. It should give us all confidence. Well done to Linden Labs management and staff for their hard work not just in this investment, but in creating a great platform for us all 🥳

Hello all, Can anyone provide a recommendation for sims that combine active roleplay with strong community? I'm ideally looking for a sim where people get to know one another through voice chat. I've considered New Haven, but it seems rather big and impersonal. I really would appreciate your recommendations. Thanks, September.

Bots Bots and More Bots
katiapfurtscheller replied to katiapfurtscheller's topic in General Discussion Forum
Now I logged off again, for about 20 minutes and BAAAM ...another bot. Again 7 months old. Never when I am online. Only when I go off. Are they tracking me? -

Interestingly, the dead Jenny bot showed up on a sim I was banned for - and yup I was being blamed on being her!! -
Bots Bots and More Bots

I spoke to somebody a few months ago and they claimed to have tracked some of these bots (the dead Jenny one) to a location. And apparently, there were hundreds of them in the one place. I wish I remembered her name.
